"When I walked into Brookdale Columbus and met the director, it just felt like home. Everyone was so nice and the place was clean and smelled nice. Not fancy, but very nice. It's easy to get around there. You walk through the halls and it's a circle. I just knew that was the one for my husband. The price was more reasonable and so it is a good value for the money. His room is actually for two people, but there's no one in there, so it's only him. It's nice and clean with a nice bathroom and shower. They have several activities and my husband participates in them. He enjoys it. They have brain games, exercise, occasional field trips, and a spa type where they give the residents these baths in these tubs that have jets in them. It's very nice. They do that several times a week. The staff is just great. They have a very good activities director. I also ate there one day with them and the food was good."

"I toured Legacy Reserve at Old Town. What I liked best was the very caring people who worked there and spoke to me. The staff was wonderful. She knew exactly what I felt. The facility was very clean and the structure was new. It's very good. Everybody was friendly. The room sizes were very accommodating to the needs of the people."

"We moved my mother to Oaks at Maple Ridge. We like the location and the facility itself. We like the staff that we met there. We liked everything about it. We had a meal there and it was delicious. They had pot roast, potatoes, and carrots. We had desserts, rolls, and drinks. With regard to activities, they do just about everything. They have all different types of bingo, games, exercise, and arts."

"My dad will probably move into Monarch Estates around Dec 31st. We went there, it was good, and everything was great. The dining area is nice, they're big, it's in a room. The room is like an apartment, you have a kitchen, bedroom, the living room where you're gonna be sitting, they've got cable that comes with it, it's a lot, so it was nice. It was clean. Everything is included, his lunch, and snacks. I only talked to the manager, but when I come in it's a very good environment, it's very warm, it has a good vibe about it. Everybody was speaking nicely. They got all the veterans there, so I know that he would like it. They got a place where you could wash, they get to wash, laundry and stuff, barber shop, they do the hair, nails and feet, pedicure, you get all of it done."

"My husband is at Phenix City Health Care. It's very clean, they take good care of him, and people are very nice to him. He told me the food is very, very good. The staff is also very cooperative. Whenever I go there and do his washing, and I ask them to take it back for me, they cooperate very nicely. The care is good too. The only problem is that they don't tell me all the extras that I have to pay for. The building is extremely clean and very well-furnished. The part that we've been in is furnished comfortably. It has a fireplace in there which makes you feel that you're at home. I've been going over every day to visit him, and at 3:00 p.m. there's a loudspeaker saying they're having this kind of activity in the dining room. They seem to have a lot of activities."

"I love this place, my grandmother stayed here for a while after her fall and they were the absolute BEST! They were always there to answer questions and made sure that my grandmother was handled with the care she needed and deserved. They were always prompt to her needs. Getting her in and out of bed, helping with her exercise, and making sure she was actually doing well enough to be discharged. They always made sure she was comfortable and I didn't feel the least bit uncomfortable being there as a 21 year old male in a nursing home.They treated my grandmother like family the entire time she was there which was about 5 months and I can never thank them enough. You hear all these stories about nursing homes being negligent and abusing their patients. Not here. They are the most amazing nursing home in the south east(maybe even the entire US) and I'm glad to say they became part of my family before my grandmother left. If it weren't for them she would have been in a wheelchair. This place is AWESOME for the elderly. They do their jobs and they do it well with care,respect, and know how! "

"Regional Rehabilitation Hospital has been great, considering my dad's needs. We have no issues at all. It's a clean and well-staffed facility. The people are very knowledgeable, very caring, and attentive to his needs."

"Hamilton House Nursing and rehabilitation Center appeared to be nice as far as we could tell. The rooms and apartments were fairly nice. The dining facility was pretty pleasant. The staff seemed to be nice. They had bingo, karaoke nights, card games, and crafts. "

"The facility is clean inside and out and free of garbage. The staff seems very well trained and sincerely cares about their patients. Seems like a great team to care for family members in need of rehab and assistance."

"We liked our tour of Magnolia Manor of Columbus skilled nursing level. The place was really clean and the people that we talked to were very knowledgeable, very kind, and took the time to explain things. They helped us understand the process and also made us understand that my husband might not be accepted because they have a way of not overloading themselves with patients that need extreme help, and they had a limit on the number of patients that they can take because they want to make sure that they are giving the patients the right care. But they were extremely helpful in helping us navigate these waters, and in telling us what they offer and could offer. We were able to go into the cafeteria. It was extremely clean, the food looked nutritious, and healthy. We talked to a couple of patients who were out in the hallway in wheelchairs, and asked them about their thoughts of the place and how they like it. One gentleman said it's OK there, and it's much better there than to be out in the street, and he said that the food was really good. The staff said that they do exercises, they have different kinds of entertainment for them to come in, and yesterday they had a Mardi Gras party for them. They also have accommodations to take them outside."

"The assisted living home is very clean, very,very nice and up to date as well as modern.Its cozy and warm just like your personal home, Great location and neighborhood. Very courteous, professional, and nice staff. Definitely going to look into this place for loved one and Definitely awesome place for families to place their loved ones here."

"I was at my lowest looking for a place for my mom. I called the Landings on a Friday and the voice on the other end sounded so friendly. When I told her I was calling from out of town she said no problem. She asked if I mind if she called from her cell phone so she could give me a tour of the community, No one had offered me that before. As she walked around the staff seemed so happy, the patients were playing bingo! The room that she showed me would be perfect for my mom . I just wanted to thank Ms. Carr for taking the time out of her day to make my day when I was having such a time. Customer Service goes a long way. Needless to say The Landings will be my first stop when I get to Columbus. C.Wellington"

"My father has been at Lakewood Senior Living of Smiths for seven years, and he is happy. It is small, there are only 16 residents, and the people that work there are just wonderful. He has a one-bedroom apartment with a big closet, a big bath, and a bedroom. I love the food. They have lots of activities going on all the time. A lot of it is church centered. They have sitting exercises. It is like a home type environment, and there are no shared rooms. In the last two years, he has gotten a little quarrelsome because he is 98 years old, and they just handle him very nicely. I am very pleased with that. "
