Assisted Living Communities in Anniston, AL

"The staff at McClellan Senior Living is absolutely wonderful. My sister and brother-in-law love the place. They're being taken care of. It's a nice place to be, and the price is right. I get along well with all the staff. Both of them have dementia, and I communicate with the medical staff and the RCAs, and they're just wonderful people. My sister and my brother-in-law are happy. If they're happy, then I'm happy. I have zero complaints about that facility. I've eaten a couple of meals there, and the food was delicious. They don't have any kind of problems with the food. The facility is great. They got exercises. They have activities every day. The way they decorate everything is awesome. It seems like they have a shindig party every month. They have a cookout once a month. It could be a luau. They had a Grease theme night where everybody dressed up in the 1950s and had old car shows over there. It's just fabulous. You ain't gonna get that anywhere for the price. My brother-in-law likes to go down for the exercises and some of the social events. My sister kind of likes to be left alone, and they're OK with that too. Nobody is forcing them to do activities, but if they want activities, they're there for them. What I like about that facility is that it's big enough to where they can have activities, but it's also small enough that you don't get lost. They still have that personal touch. Every floor has seven rooms, and one RCA is responsible for that floor. Then you have an aide who takes care of the bath days. The RCA is just fabulous on that floor, and then you have Tiffany and Jerry and all the guys there. They're just fabulous people. They got bingo, penny auctions, game days, singing, gospel singing, and church services. They got all kinds of stuff. They have a hairdresser on-site. They have a manicurist who does fingernails every week. Every week they go out to eat somewhere. They take them once a week to Walmart or Target, and let them do their own shopping if they want to shop. They have a common room with a big old TV. They have couches sitting everywhere, and on Saturdays, they have a matinee movie, popcorn, and they have Cokes. It's just like going to a movie theater down in the common room. In the cafeteria, all day long, they have fruits and vegetables, bananas, apples, and snacks, a piece of cake, a pie, or a cup of coffee. It's just wonderful. There's nothing you can say bad about it."

"My husband and I went on 2 tours of Silver Lakes Senior Living. The first time was just he and I. The other time was when we brought my mom to show her the facility. Wendy gave us both tours and was exceptional. She was very thorough in details, our options, and what to expect. The tours were not rushed, and Wendy made us feel like we were priorities. She even invited all of us to have a meal there, so my mom knew what dining would be like. The food was amazing. My mom ate every bit of her food. I joked that I might want to come and eat there all the time. Wendy had the registered nurse on staff come and explain how they could work with my mom's diabetes. All employees were very welcoming and friendly. The residents there were all smiles and wanted us to stop and talk. I would highly recommend this facility. It's hard enough telling your elderly parent they can't live independently anymore, but finding this amazing facility makes it an easier decision for my mom to go to assisted living. Thanks!"

"NHC Place located in Anniston, AL is a beautiful facility. Owned by National HealthCare in Murfreesboro, TN it is an Assisted Living Facility. Families can find comfort in seeing their loved ones in a secure enviornment. It has activities and games so the residents can meet and have friends. The food is delicious and a dietian will assist your family to make sure their loved ones are getting the nutrition they need. The Certified Nurses Assistants make sure the residents needs are met they assist the residents with whatever needs they may have whether it be needing help to take a bath or just assistance with getting dressed. There is a laundry room where the residents can wash their clothes. Housekeeping will assist the residents with their daily cleaning of their rooms. The rooms have a kitchen so they can have snacks in a frig. and space to accomodate any food items they need. There is an RN on staff and an LPN to make sure residents get their medicine on time. There is a van to take the residents where they may need to go, shopping trips are scheduled daily. This facility is inspected yearly by the State and meets all guidelines. The decor of this facillity and the care are excellent. "

"My grandmother has moved here. The biggest reason we chose it was that this one allows pets. It's clean, and the staff is nice. Everything here has been perfect so far. They have different activities every day. They watch movies, they play bingo, they play giant bowling, they do adult little color sheets, and they have bible study and exercise class. They have pretty much two activities each day, Monday through Friday. So far, everyone that we have dealt with has been nice and helpful. I haven't eaten the food, but she likes it, and they have a lot of different choices."

"My mom moved into Legacy Village of Jacksonville. The place is very nice, and the staff is exceptional. My mom seems to like the food. The facility is very clean and well kept, and her room is fine."

"The Autumn Woods Assisted Living is a small place with 16 residents. It's very homey and very good. The staff is great. My father has a studio apartment. They really haven't had any activities because of the pandemic. They have books that they can read."
