"Mountain Cove Assisted Living was very nice. It had a large dining room, a large outside area, and it was very peaceful. The rooms were a bit small. The staff was very nice and very informative. They would provide snacks anytime, they would put on parties once every two months, and they had someone that would do exercise classes. They also had a big patio where you could go outside. It was very pretty out there."

"My father-in-law is at The Meadows of Rainbow City. The price of the rent covers giving him the medications and the assistance. The staff is nice. So far, so good. They're very good, very caring, and thorough. It's clean, it's small, and the price is great. The food is good."

"My brother was in Paden Ridge at one point. The rooms were small but the bathrooms were really large; that didn't really make sense to me. It was really clean. They had activities on different days, they had people to come in, there were services on Sundays and Wednesday evenings. I didn't care for the administrator, but the owners were very nice. The building was very accommodating, it had a back patio where the patients could go and smoke or just sit out and enjoy the air. Overall it was a very nice facility."

"I've lived at Regency Pointe for 2 years and came here from a 20 acre farm. The change was a bit challenging at first but I've enjoyed the fact that I don't have to worry about up keep of my home and yard. I love the staff here. They are super helpful and really care about me. The community is very friendly as well. I enjoy the swimming classes the most. If you are looking to make your life easier, Regency Pointe is the place for you. "

"I have found an assisted living facility. I'm very pleased with it. It is absolutely wonderful. I have a suite where I have my own private living room. I have brought my own furnishings in with me. I have my own private bedroom and private bathroom. It has a walk-in shower. I have all the amenities in the world. The staff is very professional. They take time to visit with each resident each day as well as take care of all their health care and physical needs. They aren't just here to dispense medicines; they're here to dispense healing. The food is wonderful. We have the best cook in the state of Alabama. For activities, we have board games, card games, and bingo. We have a large library and a large television with a library of different videos. We have snacks and coffee available 24 hours a day. We also have experienced healthcare worker 24 hours a day. I would definitely recommend this community. "

"In my opinion this is a good place for senior citizens to go after they can no longer be completely independent but are not completely nonindependent. These are good people helping good people take care of themselves. They are given a routine. They are given three good meals a day. Starting with a good breakfast cooked to suit each of the residents dietary needs, for lunch and supper it is pretty much the same. They have a RN to distribute medicine to each of its residents. I hope that i am a good as place as this is when i can no longer take care of myself but no longer want to be a burden to my family. "

She was not only well cared for, but surrounded by loving friends, new and old, who truly formed a caring community. They were excellent communicating with me, working with me and my mother to improve her care when needed, and comforting her in the midst of progression of Alzheimer's. "Serenity Place Assisted Living and Memory Care was very clean and everybody was very nice there. My in-laws would have had a lot more room there because they could have gotten two adjoining rooms. However, once they moved out of the house, Dad was afraid Mom was going to get worse because she's got mild dementia. He's also afraid that they were going to want to move her to memory care, and if they move her to memory care, that means she'd be in one building, and he'd be in another building, he is afraid that she would just go straight downhill. They showed me the beauty shop and the dining area. They had an activities area and stuff like that too. It was nice; they just remodeled it. Everything was brand new in there. It looked like a nice place. That would have been my choice for my in-laws where they would have had more room, but Dad is afraid that they're going to try to put Mom in memory care, and then they would be in separate places by themselves. The staff members were nice though. "

"it's not as bad as some say it is.. But they need more caregivers on staff... And a nurse around the clock. And a better menu. they should hire people just for laundry and cleaning so caregivers can spend more time doing their caregiving with the residents.. But it is a nice place..And the caregivers do care.. "

"I moved into Wills Creek Village's assisted living. It's in my hometown, about eight miles from the house where I lived for a few years. It's a really nice place with good people. It's clean, neat, and hospitable. There's not a lot of amenities though. Just little things like bingo, but there's not really a whole lot of amenities. There's no pool and we don't travel. The room I'm in is very, very nice. The staff are outstanding, it could be a little better, but it's still really good. I think it's expensive for just assisted living, there's no pool, and we don't travel. They don't take us to casinos, and they don't plan trips for us. We just stay in our rooms and enjoy each other's company."
