"Charter Senior Living of Chattanooga is a God-Send. When I come to visit my friend, I can see the difference. The staff care and go out of their way to interact with her and make sure she's taken care of. Wonderful activities, and the chef has been there forever. He makes very good food. Reasonably priced and the new renovations are beautiful. I would definitely reccommend."

"The size and layout of StoryPoint is so appropriate for older adults. It has a beautiful courtyard in the middle of the building and the hallways form a square around it, so it's easy to navigate. There are various options on room sizes depending on needs and price points. The Chef prepares beautiful meals with so much variety while maintaining healthy options. The staff is always helpful, polite and does a great job accommodating the various needs of the residents. The Life Enrichment also provides so much variety for the residents .... music, trips to nearby places, games, exercise & so much more!"

"I was at Signal Mountain Senior Living yesterday to see my sister. The meals are fantastic. They provide three meals a day. The staff members all seem to be very kind to my sister. The food is delicious. Once in a while, there will be a little something that my sister doesn't care for, but they always have options. She can get a chicken salad or something like that. The cleanliness is great. They are under construction, though. They're doing a lot of remodeling, and that's the only downfall to the place right now. Nevertheless, the activities are great. My sister has done bingo and chair exercises. They offer a lot of different things, and they go on outings. It's great. When I stepped into the community, I felt the friendliness of the place. And the rooms are great, too."

"I toured Ridge Manor Rossville's assisted living. The lady and the people who worked there were super nice. The people who were living there seemed really happy. They had very nice rooms. My husband would have to share a room, so I don't know if he would be for that or not. The facility was very clean and spacious."

"I toured Thrive at Brow Wood. The staff was helpful. She took us on a tour and told us the different things that they do. They have a Wii and my brother used to bowl. They had a Wii with a bowling app so that he could sit in his wheelchair and act like he was bowling. The facilities were great. The layout was good. They had a lady there who helped them paint and showed them how to paint pictures. The activities director was nice. While we were there, we got to watch him. They were dancing. They were doing karaoke. That was delightful."

"Pleasant Valley was beautiful. It had a security fence all the way around it, and it's in a country setting. The rooms were spacious and spotless; it did not stink. It's a great community and I would personally put my dad there if they had the memory care that we needed. They're only assisted living. They have people that come in and sing, they have arts lessons, and they have an awesome staff. They also have bible study and music."

"I toured Dalton Square. It was a little expensive. The rooms were definitely adequate, very clean, and functional. They had taken a lot of thought into the layout so that they could help someone who is not fully mobile. The rooms were bright and airy. The whole building was very bright. It's a very vibrant community. The staff was awesome. They answered all my questions, and they spent a lot of time with me. I was very appreciative because I didn't really know how to navigate independent or assisted living, and they helped me with that. They were very, very good."

"NHC Health Care is a small, family like environment. The food is very good. They have Bible study, movies, and trips, and that is about it. We picked this one because of the location. It is close to family members. So far, it has been very good. I have nothing negative to say about them. They have a wonderful staff that is willing to help you in any way they can. "

"Martin Boyd staff is dedicated, consistent, and truly have a passion for what they do, My mom was a resident for 3+ years, (2014-2017). My mom lived on every level. Thanks to Stacey B. and Steve E., my mom was able to live at Martin Boyd til the end of her life. The rooms are spacious, and the closets provide adequate space too. Laundry is prepared individually and ironed weekly. Resident Rooms and other facility rooms are cleaned daily. Trash is emptied multiple times a day! The Food is good. We enjoyed it! I highly recommend Martin Boyd because of the consistency, dedication and compassion toward the residents and the community! "

"My mom is staying at the Senior Saints Home. I loved everything about it. The only reason we started looking was that they had been up on the price, and that's just a burden on the family because it's more than her check. It's a beautiful home. It's just like everybody's family. They have shared rooms. It looks like a bedroom. It's got two beds, and it's very nicely done. And then they have a single room. They also have a room with two double beds for a couple or something. I would recommend them. It's very nice. It's the greatest home setting you'll ever find. The staff are very caring and loving. I actually have no complaints whatsoever. The food looks like a good nutritional meal. My mom builds puzzles on the coffee table. She's got her traveling books and stuff. They can do what they want to do, but as far as coming together as a group and playing bingo or exercising, they don't really offer that."

"I chose Memory Lane at Forest Plaza as it is a small residential home, and my father does better in smaller settings. The staff is very compassionate and caring, and they worked very well with whatever the resident wants to do so if anybody wants to go for a walk, they go for a walk with them. The rooms are well-maintained and are adequate size for twin beds. The food is excellent, and my father loves it; he has put on 8lbs since he has been there. The dining area is setup as a regular dining room table, and they all sit around the same table. They do and they have done outings, they have family picnics, pumpkin carving with the families, and they go to the park to walk; he keeps pretty active. What really stood out to me was it has a home feeling instead of an institutional feeling. "

"My friend R was placed at this facility after falling and having an inoperable brain bleed. His wishes were clear in advance; no feeding tubes or ventilators ever. Since he was breathing on his own, food and water were withheld until he passed away. He was in horrible chronic pain before the fall, so the large amounts of pain medications they gave him was appropriate. The staff kept him very clean and kept him turned frequently. The staff were hard to get ahold of, but when they did get to answer our questions they were very compassionate and professional. Visiting hours were limited, which I was suprised about, to me these people need more visitors than any others, more for the sake of the visitors and closure than for the patient, who probably will be unaware the loved one is even there. Parking is difficult there, very limited handicapped parking and the parking lot was quite far from the Hospice unit, which is only part of the much larger Standifer Place Nursing Home. "
