"Limestone Lodge was really small. One building is assisted living and the other building is memory care. They're mirror images. The staff member I talked to was sweet, personable, and not pushy. The facility was very homey."

"It was very clean. The nursing staff and the people that I interacted with were helpful. There were plenty of opportunities for the clients to do things and not just sit in a chair and watch TV. They had multiple activities planned, like a monthly thing. They showed where I could go if I wanted to come and visit different places with my dad. The lady was really nice. We sat down and talked. It's a new facility, like within a couple of years old. It felt like it would be a really good match for my dad. I checked the studio room. It had big closets, a mini-kitchen, and a large walk-in shower. The staff told me that the rooms were available on the first and second floors. The elevators were nice. Each floor had a really nice sitting area. There was an outdoor sitting area with heaters you could sit at, a movie theater, and a little cafe where you could get meals. They even said that if my dad enjoyed ice cream they could store the ice cream in a bigger freezer and make sure he had it whenever he needed it. They have therapy there. They have a physical therapy room, a podiatrist, and hair care. The dining area was very nice."

"My parents were very well cared for at Redstone and were there for about 20 years. The only reason for a 4 star rating is that Redstone did not refund their buy in for 9 months after my mother's death, we are hoping. Do not plan to see the buy in refund till they sell the apartment in Indepdendant Living for up to a year. I had no idea it would take so long or we would have been much better prepared to handle all moving, funeral and other costs and had much more cash reserved for such things. Also we had to cover all the costs for my disabled brother during that time as well while waiting for the apartment to sell."

"I've visited this facility with my friend who has an elderly mother staying there. the facility seems very clean and a staff seems very friendly. I also noticed the grounds were very well kept and the facilities facade was very well kept also. My friend's mother seems very well cared for and seem to be quite content. I was told that they had activities and religious services also. My friend's mother had quite a few friends there several including the staff. It was a very peaceful environment and we mostly sat in the common room. There were other people there visiting family members and there seemed to be no negative issues between those individuals and the staff either. if I were an elderly person I would enjoy staying in a place like this if I had to. I would feel very safe. My friend's mother also commented on the food served as we had come to visit right after lunch. She said that she had had a tuna fish sandwich and a small bowl of soup Andy's items are very delicious and very well made. They also serve her decaffeinated coffee with sugar and cream at her request. Also she commented on the various activities available sections bingo and movie night. Over all I would give this facility a 5 star rating. I just can't comment enough on how friendly the staff was and how content everyone seem to be. Also it did not have that strange in order of cleaning supplies you would find in many places such as hospitals and the like. I personally I would recommend this facility to anyone with an elderly member of the family in need of care. "

"We went to Westminster Assisted Living and Memory Care of Decatur. It was very good, and it's a very nice, clean place. The staff was very friendly. It was very nice. The staff who assisted us was very nice, very accommodating, and answered all our questions. The room is a studio room. Once you see the furniture in there, it's bigger than you think. There is room for the bed, dresser, chest drawer, and the chairs. There's a large bathroom and a large closet. The facility itself is decorated very nicely and clean. It's very nice. The dining room was very nice. It looked like a restaurant."

"It seemed like a decent place. It was clean and decorated very nicely. They had many antiques and nice objects located throughout the place. Each room was private and could be furnished by the guest with their own items. Uncle Edward seemed to like the place, of course he would have rather been at home. The staff was courteous and attentive. The food lacked alot to be desired, i found it quite bland and barely edible. The grounds had many places to sit and chat privately. it also had a nice view of the river. All things considered, if i had to be placed in one of these facilities, I don't think I would mind it as much as some of the others I have been in before. "

"We chose to move dad to The Terrace at Priceville, because it met all the requirements that we were looking for. They have friendly staff, friendly residents, and it was closer to home than any of the other places that we went and checked out. The price was also a little bit better as far as what we needed. My dad feels comfortable there, with the staff and the people that he met. His room is very spacious. The toilet and the shower are just the right size for him. He has a walk-in shower, so tripping hazards are at a minimum. Their dining area has several tables for people to enjoy breakfast together. Everything seemed clean. They were sprucing the place up with new paint and new flooring while we were visiting. So, everything in there should be relatively new as far as carpet, paint, and stuff. They give you dining options. If you have a family event and you want to go and have just your family, they have a separate room that you can reserve off to the side that has a bigger dining table. They had a couple of exercise activities as well, be it taking walks around the complex or doing some sort of fitness class as a group. They have been great with me and have always been able to answer any questions that I have. Shantavia always gets back to me through text or email (whether she is or not at work)."

"My mother stayed at Athens Health and Rehabilitation. They were very kind and very attentive. My mother arrived with them not having received the information that they needed about her health, so they had to backpedal immediately. She was not mobile when she arrived and they were told she was completely mobile and they did not have all her healthcare paperwork. They persevered through and cared for her and talked with my sister and me to help to ask questions and just doing everything that they could to help us and take care of my mom. It was very clean, but it's an old facility. It wasn't dirty in any way. They did their best with what they had. My mom was only there for two weeks before she passed away, and we were in and out at least every other day at different times. The different times that the staff was there, they were wonderful at all times. They're not perfect. They were caring for all the other residents that were there, but they were phenomenal. I was there to feed her twice and it was not bad in any way. My mom was so sick when she got there and hospice was involved right away."

"My mom moved to The Neighborhood at Madison. The rooms are extra large and it is accessible for people with wheelchairs. They can move around from room to room with no problems. Valerie was excellent. They have a lot of activities. They have bingo, singing exercises, and church. Last night they had sundae ice cream, and then had a little singing with it. They have a lot of presentations; very full day. I tried their food when we got our tour. We had lunch with them."

"I liked the closeness of Merrill Gardens at Madison to my house, and they have more than what my brother has got now. Where he is, he doesn't get internet nor cable, he just gets a bedroom with a bathroom, whereas he would have his own bathroom in Merrill Gardens at Madison. So, it looked like a better facility. It's a much bigger place with more people to interact with and the staff members who toured me to the memory care were great. They were informative to all the questions that I asked. They also have an enclosed courtyard, field trips, activities, and a salon."

"We are very pleased with Madison Village. It’s all inclusive. My mother has been there for about two weeks and is very happy and making friends. The staff is very friendly; the minute she needs them, she pushes her button and they come. They are very welcoming and helpful. They have exercise every morning and some kind of brain thing like trivia. They have mini concerts, bingo, play cards, and go out of the facility for activities and places. We are very pleased. "

"My wife is in skilled nursing at Magnolia Trace at the present time, and it's one of the best ones in Alabama. However, sooner or later, we're gonna run out of money. They don't take Medicaid patients, and it's very expensive. The food is mediocre. She has a large private room, and she has a television there. When she needs someone, sometimes it takes 45 minutes to an hour to get someone to come to her room. The only bad thing that we found there is their response time. Because of the virus, they serve all of them in the rooms, but they have a nice dining room. When it was in operation, they served everything, and everything was really nice in there. They haven't used the dining room now for about three or four months or more because of the virus. It's like a restaurant, and it's large enough to serve everybody on that floor. They had activities just about every day before the virus. They had churches come in, choir singing, and kids coming in performing. They have an activities director and an assistant director. You get a list of activities and when they're going to appear. The value for money is excellent for what you get. I would recommend it."

"My mom has lived in Fleming Farms Independent living for 3 years. She just moved to memory care. I cannot thank Melissa and the staff enough for the smooth transition and the awesome care she is getting in memory care. My family and I love Fleming Farms and everything about it!
