"Everything about Hanceville Nursing & Rehab is positive. There's not a negative thing about that place. It's wonderful. The staff is wonderful. Everything that they do, they do with love and care and my sister is just literally loving it. We are impressed with the accommodations and with the friendliness of the staff. They're loving people. It's privately owned. It is not a corporate-owned facility. The staff eats the same food as they feed their residents and my sister has had no complaints about it. When you look at what the other places charge and what she's got, it's worth the difference. They have a lot of activities. She has a nice-sized room and a very big, ample space in her bathroom. You can get in there with a wheelchair and turn around. The dining area is spacious. It would be very comfortable to go in there and eat by myself, too. I didn't see anything wrong with it. It's clean and the tables are spaced where they're not jammed together because people in wheelchairs and walkers can't maneuver if they're too close together."

"We like that the nursing staff at NHC Healthcare. They are very caring and communicate with us about mom's care. The support staff, physical and occupational therapists and the social worker that works with her are on top of things. They are very good in working with her and with us. Any issues that come up they are very prompt about contacting us. She seems to really like the food and she is eating well. "

"My wife will be checking into Madison Manor. She will have a semi-private room. She shares it with another person. Each has a bed and a dresser, and each has their own individually controllable TV. The bed is a hospital-type bed. It is not a brand new place, but the rooms are clean. They provide food and all that sort of business. The staff is very, very good. They take care of their people. My wife was there for a rehab session or stint several months ago. She had occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy. A nurse would visit daily. She is there under hospice care, and the hospice that I'm associated with here thinks it's a dynamite place."

"My wife was at Willowbrooke Court at Magnolia Trace for rehab. It was a nice place, and they gave her excellent care. They were well-equipped. My wife had a private room with two beds in it, a private bath, and it was adequate. She had good food, and she was very pleased with their care. Her therapy went well. The staff was very caring and very responsive. They allowed her to participate in some games and she also had some entertainment at times. They had a central location for television where they showed some special programs."

"Huntsville Health & Rehab has one side of the building for long term skilled nursing. The other side is for rehab, and it is intended for short term although they probably have a number of people who are on that side and will be there for a longer term than you might expect. The rooms are very small. They are all semi-private because that part of the building is not intended for long term. They save the private rooms for long term care which I can certainly understand. They are small though, and that would be my number one complaint. It is clean, and I think they did very well with the therapy having physical, occupational and speech therapy six days a week. It is a small facility with only 50 rooms. It is not as overwhelming as some of the places where you are in a much larger facility. They have a complete list of things for them to do beyond just the therapy. They have people coming in doing stuff, and they have activities in the day room. We narrowed it down to about five or six that we would have been OK with. We obviously had some preferences. This is in the top three for us, and we would recommend it. "

"These people work long hours, and slave for families that are not their own. Give some credit where its due. Hands down, beautiful establishment, and the care is far from rare! If you need a good rehab this is the place! "

"I visited my longtime friend at this facility this past Saturday. I was most impressed with the fact that u walk in the facility and it smells clean. It’s a much older bldg in an older part of Huntsville but clean and one of the friendliest staff you could meet. There is a feeling of positive thoughts and love for not only residents but family as well. Thank you for what I are doing for my dear friend and keep up the great work you are doing for our elderly population. "
