"I moved my mom to Regency Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. She loves it, and we love it. The staff is good. They're a step ahead of me, and before I ask it's done. The food is good and the room is big. She has her full bath."

"The staff at this facility were, for the most part, hard working and friendly; however, we did experience a couple of employees that would mistreat our family member and we reported them immediately. The facility was in an older building and while there was room for improvement, there were new renovations going on to keep the rooms and equipment up to date. All in all, I would have to say that our experience here was enjoyable. There are pros and cons to all long term care facilities. "

"Huntsville Health & Rehab has one side of the building for long term skilled nursing. The other side is for rehab, and it is intended for short term although they probably have a number of people who are on that side and will be there for a longer term than you might expect. The rooms are very small. They are all semi-private because that part of the building is not intended for long term. They save the private rooms for long term care which I can certainly understand. They are small though, and that would be my number one complaint. It is clean, and I think they did very well with the therapy having physical, occupational and speech therapy six days a week. It is a small facility with only 50 rooms. It is not as overwhelming as some of the places where you are in a much larger facility. They have a complete list of things for them to do beyond just the therapy. They have people coming in doing stuff, and they have activities in the day room. We narrowed it down to about five or six that we would have been OK with. We obviously had some preferences. This is in the top three for us, and we would recommend it. "

"My wife was at Willowbrooke Court at Magnolia Trace for rehab. It was a nice place, and they gave her excellent care. They were well-equipped. My wife had a private room with two beds in it, a private bath, and it was adequate. She had good food, and she was very pleased with their care. Her therapy went well. The staff was very caring and very responsive. They allowed her to participate in some games and she also had some entertainment at times. They had a central location for television where they showed some special programs."

"I have already found a facility for my husband. He has not yet moved in but he is on their waiting list. It is Fann State Veterans Home. He went with me and he thought it was very nice. It is close to where we live, so it would be very convenient. During our visit there, the staff seemed very nice and very friendly. The environment of that place was very good at the time of our visit. We are just pleased with what we saw with this facility. "

"The food at Whitesburg Gardens looked five star like in a fine restaurant. The flavor, garnish, and aroma was spectacular unlike what you would imagine. It reminded me of home and I felt very welcome. Everyone was courteous, kind and helpful. "

"Mom is in Athens Convalescent Center. The staff is friendly, but the food is inadequate and it's not decorated well inside or out. It's often not clean, and it smells bad. They're not encouraged to do any activities, nor have I witnessed any activities. It's understaffed."

"My dad has been at Athens Health and Rehabilitation for over a month now. He's a handful and is declining right now but they're doing a really good job taking care of him. They've all been wonderful to me and my dad. They've done everything they can to take care of him. His room is clean. I have nothing bad to say about that. They have a calendar of activities to do there but my dad has not participated in them. I appreciate what they do for him. I couldn't do their job, and my hats off to anybody that does what they do."

"My mother was at Limestone Health Facility. I like that if she didn't seem quite like herself, they didn't wait for me to come to the facility and ask about it. They would pick up the phone and call me and say whatever it was that she was doing or wasn't doing. I would go and visit her about twice a week and they didn't wait for me to come in to see her. Even if I had been there in the afternoon and that was the very next morning, they did not have any problem calling me to share their concerns or whatever she was or wasn't doing that they thought should be different. My mom's room was adequate. She was not there very long before she started declining rapidly. They were very careful with lowering her bed so that if she would happen to roll out or try to get out, it was not very far and she had floormats. They took all kinds of precautions as far as decorations and stuff on the walls or knickknacks. If you walked into it, it would look a little spartan, but where she was mental, it wasn't an issue. The cleanliness in the hall that she was in was very good. If I had to make the choice again, I would probably have moved her sooner. She was in rehab at a different facility and then she just moved to Limestone for long-term nursing care. It was better than where she was. I wasn't dissatisfied."

"My grandmother went here for rehab. The therapy department was amazing ! Rooms were nice and clean. She enjoyed her stay . Stay was very friendly."

"I found this facility lacking in medical attention given my mother. I found that the physician only came around once per week and was never available for the family to consult with. I found that, although my mom was one week from death and coughing continually from kidney failure, the staff made no effort to see that she got the proper medical care. I had to make the call which was too late. I was depending on the nurses to know what her problem was and get her treatment. They said no, I was the one who determines if she needs hospital care. What are the trained nurses role here? "

"We like South Hampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. My mom likes it pretty well, too. The physical and occupational therapists are very good. They work with her every day. So, I would recommend them. It is also very clean. The staff is real receptive to all the residents. Her room has a shared bath, and she's OK with it. The food is excellent. She likes everything that they serve. They serve a large amount of food for everyone, with meat, two vegetables, a dessert, tea, and water. Each meal is large. It's not skimpy at all. She comments that she's going to gain the weight back that she's lost. I think they do a good job with the maintenance as well. It is a little pricey, but they got a very helpful, very kind, and very attentive staff."

"Ardmore on Main was clean and well organized. The nurses were prompt anytime my daughter needed anything. They were clean and polite. Her room was a double room there was only one chair for a visitor to sit in while visiting for both patients. The techs were a little slow, but they took care of the patients. Doctor's appointments were arranged, along with transportation if needed. Very friendly and caring and answered all questions that were presented to them. Medications were provided at the correct times and there were no errors with the medications. I would recommend this location. "

"Summerford is the place to receive excellent care for your loved one . The entire staff cares about their jobs and cares about the patients. Quality of care is rated # 1 at this facility .
