"Riverside Senior Living has independent living apartments, and they have assisted living and memory care. If I just decided to move, I could move there if I wanted to. They have a restaurant, and they have a chef that prepares meals. They take care people with palliative care. It's very nice. The staff were very good. It was actually the owner and her son who toured us. The place is very nice. It's decorated very well. They have very nice large rooms. They have an elevator. We didn't have a meal there, but the dining room was very nice. The residents can order meals. They have a variety of rooms. They have studios, larger studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom. It's a very beautiful location. It's right next to a park, and we can go there and walk. It's convenient from where we live. It's a beautiful area. It's by the river, and you have a beautiful view with a beautiful park next to it. They have a calendar of activities."

"Having my grandmother at The Terrace at Priceville was the best decision we could have made. I always thought assisted living was similar to a nursing home, but our experience couldn't have been more different. The warm, friendly atmosphere and staff that truly cares about their residents made our experience better than we had ever hoped. Grandma didn't want to move from her home, but we knew she couldn't live alone any longer. The staff and nurses were so kind and attentive to her and made her comfortable at ease with the move almost immediately. Once she made friends and started going to the activities she seemed to become stronger and happier than I had seen her in a long time. We thought moving grandma to an assisted living was the start of the end and the reality was that it was a new beginning for her. "

"The staff was really nice and courteous at Merrill Gardens. They would answer any questions and help in any way they could. It seemed like the residents there were really happy. Most of them were really active. "

"The layout of Madison Village is good. The assisted living side has programs that foster a community with different events or activities (although they're limited in what they are because of COVID). Mom says the food is pretty average. They have lots of services and things that I thought made things enjoyable for her. There's a salon, she could have her nails done once a week, and have different group activities that she could participate in."

"Magnolia Trace was beautiful. I was very impressed with it. The staff was very knowledgeable and professional. They seemed to be very caring. The food was delicious. The dining area was very nice and appealing, and the service was good. Everything was excellent. "

"My mother is at Presbyterian Apartments. It's a 62 and over facility. She has a one-bedroom, one-bath apartment. It's fairly large. She likes it, but she's on the 11th floor, and she's not happy with a tall building. She's happy with the area, but the large building is what she's not happy with. She's 85 years old, and if a fire started there would be no way she could get down the stairs. She has been there for years. It's good. It's clean. Her apartment is a good size. I have no problems with the apartment. The staff is good, friendly, and caring. They have a music band come in twice a month. All apartments have kitchens, and residents are responsible for food. We don't have any problem there. There's a Sunday church service."

"I visited Gateway Place. They had facilities for community relationships, like a workroom, gym, or something of that sort. The staff was amiable, friendly, and very helpful in showing me the facilities. For the most part they were OK in front of me. They provided trips to the local mall and department stores. They had a medical assistance there on the premises. They also had a community room with residents were playing cards and other things. The price was affordable, OK, nothing extravagant, and middle-range."

"I went to see Fleming Farms Senior Living. It was newer than the other places I toured so it was a little more up-to-date, modern, and well-kept. The staff was a little more knowledgeable than the previous place I went to, and it was slightly more upscale of a place but not considerably so. They had amenities like a pool, workout area, and a little gym area with weights. There's an area where a family could come in and have a separate area from the bigger crowd, or have a birthday party and that type of thing. They had quite a number of activities. The place was only about two years old so it's quite nicer and overall a little bit better, but still comparable to other places I saw."

"I'm in Regency Retirement Village - Huntsville. What I like most is the activities available and the kindness of the people. I chose this place because of the availability of physical therapy and the frequency of activities. Today, they're having a party for people who have birthdays in May. They have occupational therapy and something for people who have difficulty swallowing. I'm in a wheelchair, and it's difficult to get around. Sometimes, they'll push me in the wheelchair. Sometimes, they just walk by. The residents are all friendly. The rooms are very small. They're tight, especially with a wheelchair."
