The Commons is very pretty, attractive and clean. A washer and dryer was there, as well as a shower with an area to sit in the corner. I saw one or two ceiling fans in some rooms. The staff is very nice. The lunch was very nice. They had exercise equipment.

I have been staying here in The Commons for about 2 months now. I think it is really quiet, and I have a real good facility. I have a one bedroom with a den. They have a game night, a dog grooming day, pot luck dinner, a movie night, bingo, and member council meetings. It is both independent and assisted living facility. I am in the independent living side. They have a cafeteria which serves regular meals -- dinner and supper. I just kind of liked it; that's why I chose it. It is also a little cheaper than the other communities. I haven't seen any problems with it yet.

I am in The Commons. Most of the residents here are very active. We have activities on a daily basis like bingo, bunco, and movie nights. We have a small fitness area where we have treadmills and yoga balls. We have a picnic area. It was really nice. There are a range of apartments that go from one bedroom with just a bedroom, a small living room, a kitchen, and a bathroom all the way to two full bedrooms and two full baths, and some of them have dens. They are very clean. The assistance is very helpful. I am in a rehab facility right now because I had a car accident and crashed the bones in my ankle, and I have to have extensive physical therapy. Last night, it was very cold and so I called and have one of the assistance to go out to on my court and bring my plants in and set them on the floor. I will absolutely recommend it. The only thing that I can see that needs improvement is the policy about overnight guests, and it is strictly from a personal point of view. You can only have overnight guests for 30 nights on 1 calendar year and for me it that is very inconvenient and not realistic because I am a grandmother that have grandchildren that love to come to my house and even if I have a one day a week or every weekend that will be 52 nights.

My mother is in an independent living community called The Commons. We chose this because Mother didn't need a lot of care but it did have good security. It is new and clean and it's close to where I live. I like all the stuff about this facility. It's beautiful. My mother feels safe and it's convenient for me to get to her if I needed to. The staff is very nice. She is in a small apartment that's clean and spacious. It has a lot of closet space. She also has one and a half bathroom there. I would recommend this facility to others.

The Commons was located in a place where I was very familiar with and have many friends. What I liked the most was the apartment which had one rate regardless of the things you wanted to add. In other words, you did not get an inflated rate and the price of the units were extremely reasonable. I met the co-owner, office directress and another director, all were extremely nice and helpful. The apartments were accessible from the inside hallway and another door went out to the patio. I could also take my little dog with me because there was an area for dog walks. I also liked the idea that they had like a partnership with moving companies which helped the residents move in. It just seemed to have everything I needed and wanted. I thought that I would be extremely happy there.
