"My mother is currently in HarborChase of Jasper. It was extremely clean, well run, and close to where she wanted to be. The food was good. They have a community center where they can go meet and visit one another, but that's shut down right now as well as the activities planned during the month. Everything seems to be working out well."

"Covenant Place of Gardendale was a nice facility. The rooms were neat and simple. It was secure. Basing it on the other people that I have known that have used it, they were very pleased and happy with the care that their parents got. The staff were all friendly. They all seemed very attentive to the patients that were there. I would recommend them. "

"My mom moved into Lakewood Senior Living-Jasper. All the people there are very nice and pleasant. When they came out to interview her, they're not trying to sell their place like other places. They interviewed her. They checked her out to see what she was capable of, what she was able to do, and whether or not they would be able to care for her and take care of her. So far, they've been very nice, and they've been very helpful. Their rooms are nice and clean, and they're kept up. The residents are all friendly. They all try to make you feel at home. The community is laid out very nicely. The dining room is not very far to go. The food is excellent. They feed her well, and the food is great, we had one dinner there where it was fantastic food. It's home-cooked food that's good. They have activities for them, but my mom hasn't gotten involved yet. I know some ladies do puzzles and jigsaws."

"We chose Sunrise Manor II for my dad because it met our income requirements. My dad hasn't moved in; he's supposed to move in tomorrow. It looked nice. I think it would be a good fit. The staff seemed personable and caring. It's very clean, and very upkept. My dad hasn't tried the food. They have menus and they do dietary restrictions. They have treadmills in the workout area, and they have basketball outsides. They have games, and things to keep them entertained. It's very reasonable."

"We have been coming for many years. The current staff does a great job. Marla and her staff has a true heart for these residents. We hope she is still the caregiver if we need to live there. "

"First of all home sweet home is a boarding home not an assisted living. I have had 2 family members that has lived there for years. It is the only place I would 100% recomend. It may be an older building but it is clean. Maybe if the owner would not take in people that couldn't afford the rate she could buy new furniture. I'm in home sweet home often, all the residents love it there and has been living at hsh for many years. As for the dogs, well the residents love them and the dogs are a great asset for the residents. Don't judge a book by its cover "
