Nursing Home Communities in Jasper, AL

"My mom has been in Ridgewood Health Care Center since June. The rooms are fine. We had her in rehab for the first 20 days and then moved her to a long-term room after that. She is in a four-person room now. There's a social worker and activities director. They have all kinds of activities, and James was there yesterday and met with them. I really like the rehab part. The nurses were very attentive to her there. I don't find that they're as attentive in the long-term area. "

"My husband is now at Shadescrest Health Care Center. I like it. It's nice. The people are nice. It's clean. The rooms are good. They have private and semi-private rooms. It's more like a hospital setting. They have a nurse's station. They have patios with chairs out. They do therapy twice a day. They have bingo and movies, too. They have quite a few activities. The staff is very nice. My husband loves the staff, and the staff loves him. He has gained weight, so he likes the food. The government takes care of the cost because he is a disabled veteran."

"My father is staying in a nursing home called Cordova Health and Rehabilitation. They help him with everything. He has declined fast, and he is bedridden, so they do everything. They're a skilled nursing facility. The staff members have been very helpful and very attentive to him and his needs. My father was kind of rolling out of the bed, but they had done everything that they can to protect him. I've been happy with them. The facility itself is older but it's clean. My father's room is outdated but clean. It's served its purpose. It is a shared room, so it's not a private room, but he's the only one in there. The place hasn't been updated and some things were broken and hadn't been fixed. But that's not important to me because they take care of my father. It's very expensive but they're doing everything they're supposed to."
