"I know a lot of people who have been at Wedgewood Healthcare Center. I had visited some of them there, and occasionally when I would go in, there might be an odor, but when I would come out it was gone, but when you are working with old people on diapers that is to be expected. The floors are clean. The rooms are a good size and very nice. For two beds, they had plenty of room to move around. The staff were also very nice. They have lots of food, and they have a chef who tries very hard to plan good meals. The lady at the desk is very good about where the person you are visiting is at. "

"The Estates at Carpenters is a 55-plus and older community. I liked the fact that everyone was close to my age and they offered a lot of amenities, like a swimming pool. They offered nightly activities to do. The price range is just a little high for me because I'm disabled. I'm living off a Disability, so it's kind of hard for me to get someplace right this minute. The staff was very professional and very nice. The facility was very nice. They were very compassionate and they're willing to work with you with your finances and things such as that."

"My father had lived at Opis Highlands Lake Center before and I'm happy that he's back. They're a very caring group of people and the staff is excellent. He's in a semi-private room overlooking the lake. I have eaten there several times and the food is very good. Their dining area is a lovely facility. They have transportation for specific appointments such as doctors appointments and that sort of thing."

"The staff was very friendly, and the people seemed to be happy, reasonably so.  The place was clean.  My husband was only here for four nights.  His room had two beds, a closet, a bathroom, and a dresser."

"Scott Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center was very beautifully designed. You had a private room. They had no bad nurses like the other facility did. Everyone is either professional or friendly, which is good enough for me. You always felt better at Scott Lake than you did at the other for instance. However, if the point of being there is not a hotel but a rehab, then other facilities were better. Scott Lake's rehab was very casual and you felt very comfortable being there, but the progress was also very leisurely and comfortable. Sometimes you want to be uncomfortable in rehab."

"My mom moved to Solaris HealthCare Plant City. She's in a room with another lady. My mother is very elderly. They've been taking very good care of her. They've been right there whenever she needs them. The lady in the room with her, also kind of looks out for her because sometimes she doesn't think to call the nurse when she needs them, and the lady next to her calls for her, but they always come because they know that she's elderly. They try to accommodate her as much as they can. She said they've been very good with her. They do have Baptist services which she likes, and also Catholic. They had a big group singing and they had music going on. It looked like they were all having a great time."

"Community Care is near to my home and the facility that I really wanted had a year and a half wait list. It’s a nice facility and most of the people who work there are very caring and sincere about their work. But like any place else, some of the people are not there to help their clients but they’re just there so they can have a job. It’s a great place for people who are ambulatory and can do things for themselves. There are no private rooms and the closets are too small. The activities could be better and could have more variety. They have Bingo on a daily basis and church activities. I am happy there. "

"I was at Winter Haven Post Acute and Rehabilitation. I received good care there and I was very satisfied. For one thing, the nurses and aides were very kind, very patient-oriented, and very good at their jobs. I felt very well taken care of. The facility has been remodeled, and it was clean all the way around. My room was clean, and it was cleaned every day. The meal service was adequate. The staff there worked really hard to keep everybody happy. They had a lot of patients to take care of, and I felt that they did a very good job."

"Spring Lake Rehabilitation Center is very nice. We chose it for my sister because they were willing to accept the ChampVA payment. I rate the weekly staff a 5 rating. The weekend staff is 4. The main staff is very caring. The food has been fine. She's involved only with therapy. She's not involved with anything else, but they have a salon and an activities director. They have various singers and so forth that come in and give them programs. Like any other, they seem to have good programs. The courtyards are beautiful. They have four or five different ones. It's a beautiful place. They have a library, too."

"Four years ago, My husband was at the Rohr Home for 5 1/2 months. The care and cleanliness of this facility was amazing. The nurses, and CNA’s are attentive and extremely caring, best in Polk County! Maintenance is the best I have seen in any facility (I actually worked in several myself). The management is top notch starting with the Director of this home. I thank God for this facility in our county! The rooms are clean and adequate! I had a great relationship with the staff. In fact, they are my friends! Pam, the Activities Director is amazing! She plans parties for the staff on a regular basis. She has Volunteers come in to help with craft days. She coordinates local entertainment; musicals, church services, plays, volunteers to call monopoly, exercise programs, Christmas parties, plays and gift sharing. She as well as the other directors visit the residents. The staff reminds the residents that it is their home!"

"I have to give a five star review because my time here has been great to staff has been very attentive to my needs and I am progressing in therapy. Administration has been great. The admissions Director helped me get around my insurance to get me approved to come in for rehab. The building is older, but the Care has been great. Food is good! I love playing bingo in activities. My CNA’s are nice. I would recommend this place and I will come back here again."

"I put my mother in Palm Garden. It’s very nice, and the people are very good. Their dining area is very nice, like going into a restaurant. I eat there with my mother every day and everything I’ve eaten is very good. I would recommend it to anyone. The staff people are very knowledgeable and very good with the patients. Mom gets confused, but that’s her dementia. Otherwise, she’s very comfortable there. "
