I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

This is a horrible place! I have always been able to pick my mother up and keep her for a night or two, however, I was told that the policy had changed and if I kept my mother overnight I had to pay 300.00 a night or they would give her bed away! I don't even understand how that is legal since Medicaid along with her social security pays fo5 her to be there and medicaid allows 16 nights a year out of the facilty. My mother lives for these overnight visits. This place is more like a prison than a nursing home! If you care about your elderly loved one, do not leave then here!!! Also, she has had all of her new shoes and clothes that I bought her for Christmas stolen!

This facility has been amazing in caring for my mother and meeting her special needs. The room Is large and the outside view is beautiful. We are extremely thankful for the care she receives

The worst mistake of my life was dealing with these people. I should have taken my Dad anywhere but here. They first filled my fathers head with untruths causing a strain on my father and I. They overbilled and would not discuss it. Instead they called DCF and when that failed they tried to get Guardianship in order to wipe him out. They lost in both situations. So when my father was ill and ding they did not notify me until he had passed on. So he suffered for 24 hrs without a family member there to comfort him and to assure him that we love him and will miss him. Died alone in the early morning hours. Solaris- I have my call logs. You did not call or email or text. During his time there you have always been able to get me in one of those ways. No attempt at all. You left him scared and alone while he was dieing. Rooms-okay Interactions- confrontational

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I have quite a bit of experience with health care for senior citizens and this facility is by far the WORST I have ever experienced. My mother was brought there for PT/OT following a hospital stay. Instead she was left in bed all day every day. She never got dressed and spent all day in her nightgown. When I spoke to the staff about this, they said they would get her up and dressed everyday and then they never did. I removed her from this facility before her 'treatment' was complete because she was not being treated at all.

If I could give this place a 0 star, I would. My mom was just in there and signed out. They treated my mother horribly. I wouldn’t put my worst enemy in this place

My Mom Erma is currently there for Skilled Rehah after 2 strokes in January 2020. Dad visits and stays every day from 8-3. Not only do the staff make sure Mom is comfortable & pain-free, they treat Dad as if he is their own. Dad was able to purchase a healthy Lunch daily. Thanks for your Concern, Care & Professionalism: C-Wing: Nurse Debra, Nurse Bridget, CNA's Peaches, Trish, Josie & Felicia. Angie, Moms Therapist is a Blessing. She used her time to make sure Mom progressed daily. Gloria, Maintenance, kept the room clean & sanitized daily & offered help.

We are not happy with Health Center of Plant City because there isn't enough staff and they are slow responsive. My relative is supposed to get help when she need to go To the bathroom, She would ring the bell and 20 minutes later, somebody would come in, by that time she has wet her clothes. Some of the staff are helpful. The rooms are too small, Staff on the B-wing is not friendly, some disrespectful, they should be more interested in making the patients and their family members comfortable since it is a huge transition for both.

I looked at the reviews that were mentioned prior and I don't understand them. My Mom was at the facility for 3 months recovering from a stroke. The building was extremely clean, the staff professional, updated and modern furniture, and rooms looked terrific. The rehab team was amazing!! Speech Therapist was very knowledgeable and assisted the with Registered Dietician to upgrade my Mom's diet quickly and safely. This is a first class facility!!! I highly recommend Solaris HealthCare Plant City to anyone.

We were not happy with Health Center of Plant City because there wasn't enough staff and they weren't responsive. Mom was supposed to get help when she gets out of bed to go to the bathroom. She would ring the bell and 45 minutes later, nobody would come in. She had to get out of bed and walk to the bathroom herself using the back of her wheelchair as a walker. Mom did not like the food and would not eat in the dining area. The room looked like a run-down hospital room. They need more staff who need to be better tuned-in to what the patients need.

I visited this facility

The facility is a 250 unit facility. The builiding is in fairly good shape, the rooms need need a little attention, such as painting and the bathroom fixtures need to be replaced. The aides for the most part are friendly and helpful. The nurses are a little slow about administring medications on time, but are pleasant. The food looked appetizing and was hot, portions were good. The facility has laundry service for the residents who has no family or who's family members choose to use. The outside of the facility is well maintained & landscaped.

I visited this facility

My review of this facility is not all bad. There were some good staff there. First of all, when you walk in the facility staff are standing around and won't even acknowledge you are there. You can walk around the entire facility twice before anyone will help you. Patients who can't walk lie in bed with the call light on for 30 minutes or so before anyone comes in to check on them. Patients who can walk go to the nurses station to ask for help. The nurses act as though they don't have time to deal with the patients. I do understand that working in a nursing home or alf facilty can be quite stressful but they have to remember why they are there. Now some of the CNA were GREAT they really had thier heart in the care they gave. You can actually tell that they really care about the quality of thier patient care. They were constatntly coming in the room ( I don't know if it was only because I was there but it stood out.) The nursing supervisor came around after I compalined.
