"CHOOSE THIS FACILITY! I have a family member that has been in 3 different rehab centers in the past 2 years. Life Care is by far THE BEST. I had to learn the hard way that when getting discharged from a hospital they give you a list of places and no time to research. I won't bad mouth other places but this facility deserves this long review. 1. Donna in admissions was a huge help when I was calling around. 2. The physical therapy, occupational and speech therapy is not only outstanding, but they spend twice the amount of time with patients than other places. 3. The short term rehab is separate from the nursing home so you only see patients working and getting better. 4. I learned they use hospital ventilation so there isn't the "smell" that places can have. 5. The food is actually GOOD, with healthy choices. 6. The staff truly seems to care that people get better. You have choices as family members, and I thought I would write it down to let you know, don't let the hospitals push you to places that are not good. I took my sister from Celebration Hospital to this place and the drive is worth it. Most of all, my sister feels safe and cared for there. She remembers the bad places and I told her I would never let that happen again. Thank you for taking the time to read this, I hope it can save families time and stress and I wish health and recovery to a loved one that needs to go to rehab. "

"Spring Lake Rehabilitation Center was a very exquisite place. It is almost too good to be true. It was very nice. They had a theater room. It was fancy. "

"Florida Senior Living was one of the first assisted living facilities I visited when searching for a place for my grandfather. Throughout the tour I was able to notice that the facilities were super clean. Even the public bathrooms were really nice. I didn't get to check out most of the amenities, as the tour was fairly short. The staff is what set this place apart from any of the other facilities we checked out for him. Everyone was extremely nice, almost to a faked degree. Like they were just being nice because it's their job to get people through the doors I guess. Some of it was genuine, but I believe a lot of it was faked. I will say that most of the interior was a very nice deep blue color, extremely soothing. If I were to ever have to be put in an assisted living facility I'd probably want to go here. (Let's hope that never happens.) Overall cleanliness I'd probably give it a 9/10. The staff? Probably 7ish/10. Amenities 6/10 only because I didn't have enough time to go through everything.As selected above on the scale. Overall I'd give this place a 4/5. If you're in the Lakeland/Tampa/Orlando area and are looking for a nice place to go/place your loved ones then this should be one of your top choices. "

"The name of the facility is Consulate. It is for my mother. The people that worked there are nice. It is clean, and the maintenance is very good. As far as I can see, there is nothing wrong with the facility. She has a shared room. That I don't like too much, but there's nothing that I can really do about that because she has a big family. The activities are good. They have a lot of activities in their calendars, and they put them up in the room. Their therapy is very good, and they come two times a day. They have a lot that is going on. They have dancing and a lot of things. The therapist attitude was very well and excellent. The overall experience was excellent. "

"I did go to Bellatage Assisted Living. I didn’t pursue it. My friend was there, and she was bored out of her mind that she wanted to go home. They didn’t have enough activities. I know they have a movie theater, but she was still determined to go home. The room was very nice. It was very nice and meticulously clean, but she wouldn’t stay there. They have a group lunchroom and a movie theater, but she was bored out of her mind. My friend did not like that place at all, even though it was meticulously clean, and they have updated appliances, which was very nice. "

"Astoria Senior Living had a movie theater and a cantina with stadium-type food, like if you want to get a hot pretzel. It was very homey. You didn't feel like you were in a nursing home or an assisted living facility. When you walk into the main building, you feel like you are in a five-star resort. It was very comfortable. My father-in-law never wanted to be in a nursing home. So walking into this place, he just felt like he was on vacation. There were a lot of outside areas where he could go sit, and some beautiful gardens with waterfalls. It was beautiful. I would highly recommend it to anybody who needs a loved one to go somewhere."

"We visited Presbyterian Homes for my brother. It was beautiful, and it was like going on a vacation or a resort. However, my brother wouldn't appreciate those anyway because he was too sick. The facility was easy to get to; it was convenient. The staff was very nice. The rooms were very nice. They were bigger than the rooms from the other facility. The facility was very attractive, but it was just a little overpriced. "

"The staff at Lakeland Hills Center is pretty good. I'm happy with it and my brother who's a resident is happy as well. He has a TV which he enjoys. They also go to places all the time, like to Walmart, or department stores, and all that."

"Grace Healthcare was close to my home and someone recommended it to me. My brother stayed there and the place was very clean. There were more staff ratio with the residents and they seemed more caring. The residents seemed well taken cared of. The rooms were spacious and clean. They had different activities but my brother did not join in any. I would commend this place to others. "

"The Grove Center is an older facility so the rooms are pretty small. I like the location. It's an established, older building. The staff is nice and very caring. The meals always appear to be quite nice. My husband usually eats almost everything that's serve to him. It smells delicious, so I think that's okay. I always see them cleaning while I'm there. One of the things that I like is that the patients are not confined to their rooms. There's a courtyard, so you can get outside. If they're mobile at all, they can roll them up and down the halls in their wheelchairs or even go out on a porch. I think that's an excellent thing, not to keep them too confined. There's a nice therapy room, too. They do have activities, but my husband doesn't happen to be participating in many of them. He's blind and has dementia. But they offer bingos, they've got musical groups come in sometimes and entertain, religious people come in and talk, and they schedule some games and movies. "

"I visited The Club at Lake Gibson. It was a beautiful place. It was a new facility, so it's very modern and updated. The staff was friendly. They had many dining rooms. They had an outside area. They had a movie room. They had a nice gym and rehab room. The rooms were very large."
