"Palm Garden of Winter Haven is excellent. The people working there were very good. It was for my sister when she had rehab. The physical therapy was very good. They have a shared room, and it was adequate. It is bigger than a normal hospital room. They did a very good job because it did not smell, and it was very clean. "

"My mother-in-law is in Spring Lake Rehabilitation Center and so far it's been excellent. They have very nice rooms, it's a very, very comfortable home that's very nicely kept with a good amount of furniture. The staff members have been very caring and they're very supportive. They have a bistro for people that want to get individualized meals. They have outside sitting facilities and gardens, which was pretty nice. They have an ice cream bar where people can get ice cream, they have activities like bingo and people coming in. I didn't try the food, but I have seen it and my mother-in-law enjoys it very much. I would recommend that people go there, it's an excellent facility."

"The name of the facility is Consulate. It is for my mother. The people that worked there are nice. It is clean, and the maintenance is very good. As far as I can see, there is nothing wrong with the facility. She has a shared room. That I don't like too much, but there's nothing that I can really do about that because she has a big family. The activities are good. They have a lot of activities in their calendars, and they put them up in the room. Their therapy is very good, and they come two times a day. They have a lot that is going on. They have dancing and a lot of things. The therapist attitude was very well and excellent. The overall experience was excellent. "

"My father is at Haines City Health Care. Somebody referred him there. They're taking wonderful care of him. I'm very pleased with the care of this facility. His room is very clean. It is very well maintained. I have no complaints about this facility. I have no complaints with the food; they feed him very well. I would recommend this nursing home to others. They're very good. "

"My grandmother was a resident of this facility. The home itself (at the time) was in a hospital that was no longer in use. The facility was not very new and seemed to have a very gloom feel about it, but she was given very good care. I think the fact that we visited her nearly every day helped that she got very good care. I have visited the new location of this home and it seemed to be much newer and cleaner and a little cheerier. I would recommend this home to others. "

"My mother was at the Bartow Center for a rehab stay for a few months after a hospitalization. We selected this facility mainly because it was really close to our house and we were able to see her every day. The facility took her Medicare and AARP supplement, and handled all the insurance paperwork. It did not take us long to arrange a tour and get her into the nursing home after her doctor said she could leave the hospital.Overall, we found the staff polite and professional. Though the evening staff sometimes took a little longer than needed to get to her when she put on the call bell, we spoke with the director about this and they seemed to take our concerns seriously. We absolutely loved the social worker, Mary, who was helpful, honest, and overall great to work with. She helped us get my mother's house set up with needed equipment and home nursing in no time. This facility is not the fanciest nursing home, but it is clean and the staff is good. What more could you want for someone you love? "

"My husband stayed at the Crossroads because he needed physical therapy. The staff is the best thing about the Crossroads. They are very caring and kind. I was very pleased with the care he received. "

"Most of the staff was knowledgeable and very friendly. They took care of the residents fast but with courtesy. There were a few bad apples in the staff; they were too rough with residents, rude. All residents were taken care of and most were very happy. Meals were given with help offered and never meanly. Most residents needed help with most basic tasks yet all was taken care of without any fuss or complaints on both parts. The facility was very clean and so were the residents. With haircuts and nail care every week. They also had social time every day, whether it is bingo, karaoke, or meal times. Every person was addressed by their name and helped equally. The view out every rooms window was nice and they ever even building a bench swing. I believe over all facility was very good and clean and worked like a well-oiled clock with compassion added in. "

"My mother likes The Oaks at Avon. They're very personable. She has made friends with all the nurses and CNAs on the different shifts. They're very nice. The facility is very clean. Everything's kept up and they'll fix something when you mention that it's not working. They have bingo, a lot of church services, and people singing. She receives occupational therapy and physical therapy. She enjoys being there."

"The facility is clean and pleasant. The staff seem engaged. The facility has an active rehabilitation program. My mother was undergoing physical rehab following an extensive hospital stay. The facility encourages family participation in all aspects of care. I was able to take meals with my mother and observe the staff working with other patients during meal time. I was pleasantly surprised by the patience and genuine concern the staff had for the other residents. There were residents with various stages of mental impairment, confusion, and similar behaviors. The facility had a non-intrusive security system to prevent residents who were prone to wandering. I didn't see the use of restraints on any of the residents. Safety was a concern and the staff seemed to provide it with respect for the residents. The nursing director was readily available to answer any questions as well as the physical therapy staff. Overall I found the experience, as did my mother, to be rewarding. While we are both hopeful she will not have to return, we both agree if the need arises, we would choose this facility again. "

"Scott Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center was very beautifully designed. You had a private room. They had no bad nurses like the other facility did. Everyone is either professional or friendly, which is good enough for me. You always felt better at Scott Lake than you did at the other for instance. However, if the point of being there is not a hotel but a rehab, then other facilities were better. Scott Lake's rehab was very casual and you felt very comfortable being there, but the progress was also very leisurely and comfortable. Sometimes you want to be uncomfortable in rehab."

"It is very clean in Presbyterian Homes . The staff seems really friendly. I have not had participated any activities yet since I've only been here for about two days, but it looks like in June they have an indoor yard sale. They don't serve food but they have a community breakfast once a month. A city bus comes in and picks up those who can't drive. My only complaint is that there are not enough electrical outlets and the ones they have don't totally work. "
