"I'm a current resident. I like that I don't have to cook, and I get my meals. I like that. The meals are very nice. They're good. They also do the cleaning. The place is very nice. It's clean and comfortable. I live on the first floor, so I don't have stairs to climb, but the washing machine is up on second floor, so when I do laundry, I have to go up to the second floor. There is a beauty shop and a thrift store. We don't have to worry about the lawn, of course, it's all taken care of. They have bingo quite often, and they have other things going on. I like to read, so sometimes I get a book and stick my nose in a book, and I don't go to anything else. We have a library here. The staff is very nice. They bring me my food, and they come in and give me a COVID test quite often. We're supposed to wear masks whenever we go out of our room. Sometimes, I forget to put my mask on. I have a bedroom and a living room. I don't have much of a kitchen. I have some cabinets, a sink, and a little refrigerator, but no stove. I have a little side room that is just for extra storage, and what-have-you."

"I went to look at Windsor at Celebration. This place is beautiful, but it's expensive for me. I saw one room with one bath. They have everything. They have a swimming pool. The staff members were nice with me. The living atmosphere was excellent."

"We visited the independent living community of The Palms of Sebring. It wasn't too bad, but it was too much walking. We told the lady there that we couldn't walk that far or that much, but she didn't really accommodate us in that way. Luckily, I had my wheelchair, so my husband and I had to exchange every so often because we both cannot walk that well. I'd ride the wheelchair for a little bit, then when he got tired of walking, I'd have to sit him in the wheelchair, and then I would push it. I think that was very uncouth. The person who gave the tour seemed to be very impatient with us. We had to take a taxi, and it ran us almost 60 bucks there and back. It was a waste of our time. She seemed to really want to get rid of us because she had other people who wanted to look at one of the rooms, too. She just kind of wanted to hurry up and get us out of there. The place itself was very nice. I have to say the grounds were, I wouldn't say meticulous, but they were kept up. The food was really good. We had hamburgers and hot dogs and got to meet some of the people who were staying there. The dining room is also really nice, and the way they take care of you."

"It is a nice facility in a nice setting. The rooms are nice. I have an apartment here, and it's very comfortable. The staff is nice and the meals are good. We have a gym and meeting rooms. We have a library and a computer room. We have a chaplain on duty here. We have a shuffleboard court, croquet, a pool table, and a movie theater. The staff seems to be attentive and they seem to be compassionate."

"Right now, we're in Lake Ashton. My husband loves to play golf, so that's perfect for him. The staff members are excellent. Everybody is just super, super nice. However, I don't care for the dining room because it's all like barbecue food. Our home has over 2000 living areas. It has a two-car garage plus a golf cart garage, so it's a corner lot. It's nice and high. I have hurricane shutters all the way around and a generator, so don't need to worry about hurricanes. They serve food at two places. One is in the main clubhouse and there's a big dining area and that's where they serve food also. It's a lot of barbeques, and I'm not a big fan of barbeque but my husband likes it. We have a homeowner's association that has a community of people that go through the neighborhood and make sure they would water the lawn, and make sure their shrub trees were trimmed. This is a very nice subdivision. It's wonderful, and they're very cooperative, too. They go out of their way to take care of everybody. They have a lot of entertainment. They run movies constantly. They have a movie theater. They do a good job. They have bocce ball, tennis court, and dog park. It just goes on and on and on. Everything you could ever want is here. You would have to be exhausted if you did it for a week."

"We toured Orange Manor West. I like how clean it is, and it's very well taken care of. The roads are smooth, and everything is beautiful. The staff I met was very nice. All of them are modular homes. It was all wonderful. The only thing I don't like is that sometimes the fee for the land is so high. The atmosphere was very friendly."

"It was beautiful. The people there were very interested in why we were there. They talked to us. The residents and the staff were very friendly and very informative. Everybody seemed to love everything about it. The apartments were beautiful. We saw the dining area, the living area, and all the common areas. We saw 2 different rooms. I saw the kitchen, but we didn't go into the kitchen. They had a beautiful courtyard where it's 100% safe for the residents to be out there because they can't get out."

"I visited The Meetinghouse at Bartow last year. It's for low-income people, and it's been there for a while now. It's a nice place, and people like to live there. I never really met anyone except the person in charge of the apartments, but he was really nice. It's an independent place to live for seniors. It's nice, it's clean, and the people are very nice. It's in a location where it's easy to go places, and I like it; it's a nice location."

"My grandmother hasn't been in Merrill Gardens at Solivita Marketplace for long, but they were very easy to work with. The apartment itself is very nice and very large. On the assisted living side, it seems that they have a lot of activities, and they have a lot of support. They have a really good setup there with their staff as well. I am very pleased with what I saw there so far. They supply a fully furnished kitchen. My grandmother has a washer and dryer. She has a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, and all of that. They have a swimming pool and a courtyard. So far, she hasn't had any negative experiences. I interacted with their director of nursing. She was really nice and very accommodating. My grandmother came from the hospital to their setting. The director of nursing did a really good job with their care coordination between the hospital discharge planning and coming to the facility. She was really good about it. My grandma is not a fan of the food, but the food is very subjective. They seemed like they had a lot of activities going on. As I was walking to my grandmother's apartment, I was able to see quite a bit of activity happening. I think they have a pretty good activities department. I will say that the activity content on her calendar looks really good."

"Solivita was very nice, and I would really select it if it wasn't so far away. They took us everywhere, gave us a wonderful dinner, and we had a wonderful time. I would recommend if you live near there. The food was wonderful, it was a lovely dinner, and they were very pleasant and very helpful. They didn't have a pool when we were there, but they were going to build one."

"We toured Florida Presbyterian Homes. It's a CCRC where you buy into it. Instead of being on a single campus, they own individual homes and they also have apartment buildings. They were built in a four-city block area. So, you have to travel a little bit more. You would have to drive either a golf cart or some form of transportation to go to the restaurant. Their pricing was honestly much better than other places. It's in a beautiful location with well-kept yards and homes. The one thing that I liked that I haven't seen at the others is they have a chapel, and they have an on-site minister. They provide a regular church service on a regular Sunday basis. The staff that I met was very nice and very personable."
