"We toured Lakeside at Waterman Village. It's very nice. They were wonderful and answered all our questions. They were great. We only met the director there. He was very professional and very knowledgeable. We saw two different rooms. There's nothing wrong with them, but one of them was like, brand new and it was claustrophobic. We both have a problem with claustrophobia, and we thought they were claustrophobic."

"I am staying at Valencia Grove II. It is very nice, beautiful, and clean. I love it, but it's way too expensive. The manager used to be very nice, but now she's not accommodating. I asked her if she could try to get my rent lowered for me, and she said, "No, we don't do that." They have bingo. On holidays, they have a little get-together with food. They have a little fitness center and a lobby where they have bingo and parties."

"What they have at Waterman Village is little villas, and it is like your own little house. Adjacent to it, they have the assisted living if and when you need it, and then they have the memory care. It is a total package that we were looking for - They have it there. The activities are different type of crafts and stuff, they have movies, and they take them to different places if you need it. "

The rooms are very spacious, clean, and updated. They have various floor plans; the dining area is spacious, clean, quite attractive, and well-kept. They have all types of activities; they have trips, exercise, and art classes. The amount of light and open air are very impressing, it's very well lit, people are smiling, and even the residents greet you and say hello; they seem to be happy. It has a very happy atmosphere and very safe. "

"We went to Cascade Heights, and that was a really nice place. We would have really considered that, except it's just farther away from where we are. It has kind of a more large resort-style feel to it, but the facilities were absolutely beautiful. The rooms were wonderful. They were the only apartment that actually had a full kitchen. It's small, but it's a full kitchen, with brand-new appliances, a full-sized refrigerator, beautiful cabinetry, and it was really, really nice. Everything was upgraded there. They're the only ones that have private patios as well. It's a really nice-sized patio, so that's a real nice benefit for the residents."

"It's very nice, and very beautiful. It’s relatively new, and in top shape. The clientele is varied, and very pleasant. I got a chance to talk to them, and they’re all very happy. The atmosphere is just great. They have afternoon social gatherings. We saw two rooms. The sizes are excellent, and very well furnished. They even have a stove, and ice box. The staff is very pleasant, and easy to talk with. We liked the food they served. They provide transportation, so you don’t need to have a car."

"We got contacted by a woman at Sumter Senior Living, and we ended up heading over there because of my father-in-law's request, he is now working with them to possibly move in as early as next week. We toured both independent living and the memory care unit. The experience was very positive. The people were friendly. They gave us the information that we needed, gave us the tour, and answered all the questions we had on the tour. The rooms were very clean and well-maintained. The facility was very easy to navigate and had a lot of resources for both my in-laws, so that made it easy as well. The staff on the tour was extremely friendly and welcoming to my in-laws for the care that they need as well as the nurse. We talked to the nurse in the memory care facility for a little while and she was very helpful."

"The staff are friendly and helpful. Entering you can see they follow CDC guidelines. The property feels remote, but it is so close to everything. There is a calander for daily activities, that include a variety of things to do. "

"American House Wildwood was good. It's got a Western motif. It's just that it's strictly independent living. It might not be something that we're looking at, but we're going to discuss that. They have a one-time move-in fee of $3000, but as far as the food and everything, it was very well done. It sounded like everything was awesome by just talking to people and hearing them say, "This is incredible." The lady who toured us was excellent. When we were waiting, they were offering people drinks. So, they were very accommodating."

"We just looked around and really liked Orchard Heights. They have everything. They have indoor activities, a fitness center, chair volleyball, field trips, shopping trips, and baseball trips, and they're going on the boat tour next week. They have transportation to and from doctor's appointments. They have three meals a day. It's been awesome. "

"The Oaks on The Lake is a great place. It's very clean and very nice. They have a lot of amenities, but the elevator is always down and everything going up and down has been hard for us. They just fixed it and then it breaks down again. So, it's been going on for months and months. The place is beautiful. There's an actual lake here. Security is very good and they have a lot of activities during the whole month. They have a gym, a pool, and a barbecue area. They put in benches and smaller barbecues in front of the lake. Then inside the clubhouse, we always have coffee and tea. They also have a room with computers. They have about six buildings here, so it's a big place. We have a one-bedroom apartment and it's nice. It has a small dining room, a small living room next to the kitchen and the dining, and a balcony. It's pretty big. We only have a tub though, we don't have any showers."
