Independent Living Communities in Eustis, FL

"I looked at the cottages in Brookdale Wekiwa Springs, and they were very nice. I really liked them. The price was a little higher than what I know I could afford at this time, but I wanted to see what their definition of cottage was, and they actually reminded me of the townhouses some time in Illinois. I met a couple of staff members, and they were very friendly. The prices were way more than what I was thinking, but they were very spacious. "

"We had a great staff person named Drew who showed us around Grand Living Park at Lake Mary. He was awesome. He'd been associated with them for a good long time. He knew the history of the place. He was very knowledgeable. He could sell me a car. The public rooms down on the first floor were beautiful, and they had recently been redone, I think, and everything downstairs was beautiful. The apartments upstairs were OK, but they had not been recently renovated and seemed a little older. The upkeep of the place was fine. The dining area was big and everybody seemed friendly and nice. They had a nice menu, but I didn't eat anything."

"We went to Sumter Place, you go in independent, move to assisted, and they got long term care. We liked that. Everybody was friendly, it was very warm, and when you walked in, you feel comfortable. The restaurant was open all, there’s no set time for meals, and they give you three meals there. They have excursions, activities, and a small pool, and they were within distance of a golf course. We loved the apartments very much; they had corner apartments that seemed to be larger than some of the others, and it was all decorated very nicely. "

"We went here. It was very nice. The girl I talked to was nice. She brought me all over. She explained everything. The place was gorgeous. They had a nice place. We just wanted a studio, and she showed us that. It was quite large for a studio for one person. It was very clean. They brought us all around. It was very beautiful, and it was clean. It's very new to me, and it's close to our home. It was excellent. The staff was very good, and very thorough, and she answered all my questions. I was with her for quite a while. She showed me all the facilities and the pool."

"We went to Chambrel at Island Lake and it’s a wonderful facility. I have a friend who is there and I knew mom would love it there too. It's a very nice place and it's exactly what she wanted. They have an apartment and basically you do have a kitchen. It wasn’t too small, but definitely not too big. With assisted living, she would get all of her meals. Everything is right there. Their dining room is like a restaurant. "

"My tour at Florida Golden Adult Care went very well. I liked that it was a neighborhood, in that my aunt wouldn't get lost in a giant building. The place was very clean. The staff who toured us was very welcoming and informative. I was given a tour of the house. She showed me the complete facility. The dining area was clean and welcoming. There's a nice big backyard with a screened-in porch to eat out, and there's a TV, too."

"I went to Bahama Bay Club Luxury Senior Living. The food was delicious. They offered me soup, and it was so nice and tasty. Then they offered me a dish with vegetables and potatoes, and on the side, there was some kind of a dip and it was delicious. I enjoyed it a lot. It's very clean. The people were very nice and very friendly. I visited the whole place. I was very impressed. The decoration was very sophisticated, and the smell was so nice. It includes so many activities, restaurants, movies, hair salon, pedicure, and manicure. The staff was very good. I was so happy. The guy who did the tour for me was a gentleman, very generous and very nice. He let me see three apartments and the apartments were so neat, so clean, and very good. It was a very good experience for me."

"I toured the Grand Villa of Altamonte Springs. It was nice but the rooms to me were small, and they don't even have a sink. That was a definite no right away because you can't even wash your fruit or anything. There's no sink besides in the bathroom, but that's kind of weird. They have a ton of activities. They have an onsite hair salon, and they have like a little cafe where you can use the internet. They also have like a little store, which is cute. They have like a lot of outdoor space. The staff was nice."

"I toured Brookdale Lake Orienta. I liked everything about it. It's right across the street practically from the hospital. So they're near the mall when they take their trips because they do the same thing as far as taking them to and from doctor's offices, visits, and shopping. They also had a beauty salon. They had a nice dining room with a nice menu. The people were very friendly and the residents seemed very happy. You could have a pet if you wanted. The rooms were nice. The price was definitely right for my friend."

"Providence was one of the communities recommended to us. It’s about the nicest place I’ve been in, and it really has a lot of factors to them. The staff was quite helpful and very nice. I have no problem with them, they answered all my questions, and there was no subterfuge about anything. The apartments were beautiful; we were looking for something small so we didn’t look at the larger ones, but they were quite spacious. I liked the balconies with the screens, and if I had to go, that would be the one I’d choose. The food was good, the dining area was beautiful, and it was more like a restaurant than an institution. They have a beautiful, landscaped garden area and a heated pool, and everything was set up very nice. "

"The Summit of Winter Garden was the best of the places I visited. They made sure I knew right away that they did not take Medicaid. The person who did the tour was very knowledgeable about what was going on. She was very good. The apartments were laid out well. They had a few advantages over most of the others. They had balconies on every apartment and laundry in the bathroom. Everything was set up very nicely. The dining area was very nice, too. Then I went into one of their activities rooms. They had a pool table, and someone came in to play. She showed me around most of the activity rooms and all three floors. They really had a lot a lot of things going for them."

"I was able to visit Villa Grande on Saxon. It's a brand new community, and the staff was able to help me a lot in answering every question I have. It's a very special community, but very expensive."

"We put a deposit on a room at Inspired Living at Windermere. It’s brand new. That’s one of the main reasons I like it. The rooms are going to be furnished with the resident’s furniture. There was no furniture in the place when I last saw it, but when people move in, they bring their own furniture. "

"I will be moving to Carriage House and I chose the place mainly because of the price. There were others that I liked, but they were over my budget. I was very impressed with the place. So far everybody is very nice and helpful. The rooms are not the best, but it's not the worst either. I have eaten there twice and the food was very good and adequate. The people seemed happy and everybody is cordial. They all talked to each other and to me -- it was nice. They have every sort of activity, but I haven't tried any of them because I haven't actually moved in. They have everything you could want right there. I sure would recommend the facility to others. Everything is very convenient so you don't have to walk far away. There are elevators that are very handy and it's very for me easy to get in and out. "
