"My husband moved into the Grand Villa of DeLand. They had a lot of things going on to keep people busy if they wanted to. They also have a salon and a movie theater. They have a lot of things to pick from and a swimming pool. The staff is very nice. The food is excellent. He has no complaints about the food whatsoever. There are always extra choices, and he looks forward to eating. He went to the salon, and they gave him a wonderful shave. Everybody was very friendly. It's a very nice atmosphere. The people there are very nice. Everybody always smiles and says hello."

"We toured The Carriage House Gracious Retirement Living. It's beautiful. When you walk in, it almost looks like you're on a cruise. That's how pretty the lobby is. The rooms may have been a little smaller than the other facility, but they were still very nice. They did not have full-size kitchens. They did not have a washer and dryer. It's a little bigger facility, but it was very nice inside. We did have lunch there and it was a wonderful lunch. They have a pool. They have recreation rooms. They also have a theater and areas where you can go around and get snacks all day long. They also have a beauty shop, which is nice. So, it's another facility where you don't have to go anywhere unless you want to go shopping. They have transportation to take you to doctor's appointments. Everybody we met there was wonderful. The food that we had was delicious and you have such a variety, and they give you so much. I was very happy with that. They have a main meal and they also have smaller meals if you want."

"My husband and I brought my 95 year old mother from Ohio to Florida. She wanted to continue to live in independent living. This is such a great place. Lauren was so nice and helpful in showing us around and explaining what they had to offer that my mother, myself and my husband agreed on the spot. Steeplechase was where she would move because she felt safe and loved the surroundings. Over the last year, my mother has made wonderful friends, attended different events at Steeplechase and traveled to different venues, including the Hard Rock. The dining experience that they offer…breakfast, lunch and dinner is top notch. We also loved Winnie, who cleans my mother’s apartment once a week. My husband and I love this place so much that we will consider moving here when we get ready. "

"We toured Blue Palms Senior Living of Deland. I liked that we met somebody. They showed all the things that were there. There's a cafeteria you can go to, a little gym, and a library. There is independent living here, and assisted living, and there are different steps right there. It was close to downtown. I thought it was great. The person who gave us the tour was a nice lady who was very positive, listened to us, and showed us some different options."

"It was a great place for my grandparents. They had a beautiful one bedroom deluxe apartment that was spacious enough to accommodate them both. The staff was super friendly and you could tell they really cared about the residents like their own families. They had a lot of activities but the best was their daily happy hour. The community encouraged families to join their loved ones and have a glass of wine and enjoy the music together. I've never seen an assisted living who offered this. Every time I visited them I felt like I was at the Ritz Carlton."

"I toured Brookdale Wekiwa Springs. What I liked most was that the facility was clean. The one apartment they showed me would be perfect for a single person. Also, they had a calendar of activities and transportation to and from medical appointments. The staff seemed happy with their job. I was greeted by a receptionist, and she was very pleasant, was on time with the appointment, and was prepared. She had brochures, and she wasn't reading. She knew the content. She's a good listener. She paid attention to me, which I appreciated, and she responded professionally. They had an elevator, and it was clean. I saw people working and the nursing staff. However, the facility is older."

"I like American House Wildwood. I like that it is close to me. I felt good about the facility and the director, the person that I toured with. She showed me a studio, and then she showed me the model for a one-bedroom, which was nice. It had a big kitchenette that had a stove and all that stuff in there. They have appliances, which I like, because then if I want to come over and cook for my mom, I can. Other places only have little kitchenettes with no stove or anything. The staff member gave me a little bag that had all this information in it. She also gave me the dessert, and it was so good. The other thing I liked about them is that they had a full-service restaurant there. The building was good. I could tell everybody was happy because all the little old people were walking up to me and talking to me and talking to the person that I was touring with. There was also a lady that I thought could be really good friends with my mother."

"Bahama Bay Club Luxury Senior Living was a very nice facility. I enjoyed my tour. I know some people who have recently moved in there, and they're happy with it. It's all brand new. They had a library. It seemed like they had everything they needed. The staff was very informative and very pleasant."

"I'm in Cascade Heights. The food is excellent. All the people that work here are topnotch. They keep it clean. They have a lot of activities. They have buses to take you to different places. It's got everything you need. I have the apartment with a den. Everything I have fits perfectly. They have different apartment sizes. Any problem you have, they take care of it immediately."

"I toured the Grand Villa of Altamonte Springs. They had the marketing director speak with me and showed me around the facility. And, I spoke with the facility director. He was very nice as well. They answered all of my questions. It was a very clean facility. Everyone seemed very happy. And then as time went by, they also reached out multiple times to see if they could provide further assistance for me and my mom. The size of the rooms in the assisted living area was adequate for a single person. Their dining area was very well spaced. There was plenty of room, tables, and chairs for the residents. Everyone was eating lunch when I came through, and they seemed very happy."

"My mom is a resident of Brookdale Lake Orienta. It's very nice. They keep it very nicely. They don't have so many grounds to walk. She can walk, but it's not so big, but very nice. The staff has been great. They have been very responsive to her. Twice a week they have activities outside the facility where they can go and go to the mall or they go to a play. They do different things. They've got activities on site. They've got a gaming room. They have a beauty salon. They've got an exercise room. She's not in love with the food. She was very picky, so I'm sure the food was fine. I think she doesn't love it."
