"I AM BEYOND HAPPY WITH THE CARE,CLEANLINESS AND EXTREMLY FRIENDLY STAFF. THE COMMUNICATION IS SO WELL. THEIR TEAM MEETINGS ARE AWESOME. THEIR REHAB TEAM IS SO GREAT. MY MOM HAS DONE SO WELL THERE. I REALLY APPRECIATE ALL THEIR EFFORTS FOR TAKING CARE OF NOT JUST MY MOM BUT ALL THE RESIDENTS THERE. 10 OUT OF 10"

"My father did short-term therapy and made a very good comeback and he is home on his own again. He was at Apopka Health and Rehabilitation Center. They helped him with his balance, his walking, and getting up and down. He couldn't get out of the hospital bed when he left without assistance, and then after one week he was able to walk with the walker and get out of bed. After two weeks he was able to walk without the walker, and on the third week he was able get up and down out of a chair by himself with no help. At Christmas time, he came to our house, and he couldn't get off the couch without assistance. On New Year's Day, he was like, "Look, what I can do," and he got off the couch all by himself. No problems, so they helped him with all his strength and balance. They did rehab every day for two hours in the rehab center, and then every evening a therapist came to his room with hand weights, and they did weights from the chair and the bed. So, he got rehab twice a day. The staff was excellent. Everybody was super friendly and super nice. The facility is beautiful. It's actually pretty new. It's only five years old. I have not tried the food, but he said everything was very good. The rooms were great. He had a shared room, but it was separated by a fairly significant common area and a curtain. They shared a bathroom. He was free to come and go. We were able to pick him up and take him. They have a hair salon, two or three dining rooms, a movie theater, and separate living room areas with couches, chairs, and tables that we could take them to when we wanted to see them. We can walk down to the living room area and sit on the couch and relax and watch TV with them. It was very nice and clean there. They have a schedule of activities every day from 9:00 in the morning until 6:00 at night every day. I think my father participated in some stuff, but I don't know exactly. I don't know what it cost, but it was money well spent. Literally every time we would see him, he would say, "Thank you for giving me this place. Thank you." He was very appreciative that he was there."

"I have been an inpatient at Health Center of Windermere ("HCW") for rehabilitation for my total knee replacement. I must give 5 stars to HCW in every category. This facility and its staff have gone above and beyond the call of duty in every regard and deserve recognition. I have been treated with the utmost respect, compassion, care, treatment, and professionalism that I could ever imagine. I would name every one to give each individual the recognition they deserve, but space will not permit, so I will name a specific few that I came to know and who are most definitely noteworthy to name here: Admissions: Daniel and Ross; Nursing: Natasha; Physical Therapy: Annie; and CPN: Ophelia. But like I stated previously, all staff at HCW are noteworthy. Generally speaking, the food was plentiful and very good. I was in a private room which was well worth it. I felt spoiled, and the difference paid is well worth the price. Regardless, I am sure that a semi-private room is just fine for most individuals, just from talking with other patients. I didn't even feel like I was in a nursing home; it was more like a 5 star hotel. When I would push the nurse button, there was almost an instant response. My room and the facility is very clean. I had all of the assistance I needed with bathing or using the restroom, had my bed changed daily, my room was cleaned daily, I received pain medication when I asked for it without having to wait, I received personalized meals, my water was changed regularly, my doggies even were permitted. My family, doggies and I would go outside and relax in the beautiful courtyard, and that alone is wonderful therapy. I was asked routinely if everything was okay or if I needed anything. I could not want for more. It is actually difficult to leave HCW. I will miss everyone, and never forget the care, compassion, and outstanding treatment I received while there. I recommend this facility to everyone, either short or long term. Thank you Health Center of Windermere for being there for me when I needed you and for taking such wonderful care of me in my time of need. "

"I have my mom in Courtyards, and everybody there is really nice. I don't have any problems with them. If and when there's an issue, they call me up and let me know what's going on. My mom seems happy. The staff is really good, friendly, answer all of my questions, and if they're too busy, always call me back. They always have something different going on between movie night, bingo night, and card night. They're always doing something, which is good. The rooms are nice. My mom shares the room with somebody else, which is good for her because she has somebody to talk to. She's happy. The pricing is fine,and compared to other facilities, it's a lot more reasonable. I guess the food's OK because she's not complaining. She's Italian, so if the food wasn't good, I'd be hearing about it. "

"My mother is in NeuLife Rehabilitation. It's for level-one trauma patients who have brain injuries. It's the perfect place for anybody who's in a wheelchair and has major trauma-type injuries. The staff is amazing: they're super, super nice, caring people, they do a great job, and they're medically trained, so they know how to do more than the average facility, probably. It's been a good experience for my mom. Because of COVID, we have to visit outside, but my mom likes her room. She said it's like an apartment; it's very nice. The facility is physically older, but the care they give is great. It's far away from me. I have to drive three hours to visit my mom, but it's a nice location if you are from that area, because it's in the rolling hills, it's secluded from the city, and it's very nice."

"My family member is a residence here and getting the best care that is required.The staff is friendly plus addresses any concern. relating to my Dad.I haven't had any problems with the facility so far. "I went to Guardian Care Nursing & Rehabilitation Center to visit a fellow church member. That nursing home is very clean and it smells clean. The staff must have been busy that particular day because we didn't see very many of them. The building was nice and clean. At the time we were there, the residents were watching TV. The community has a nice and quiet atmosphere."

"I really like Guardian Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The residents always come first. You can tell that they care about them. My dad has bounced back and is recovering now very well. They administer his medications and assist him with his bathing. He's happy. He is a very picky eater and only trusts his own cooking, but he is enjoying the food there. It is very flavorful and very well put together. The place is also clean. I've never seen the place dirty at all. The staff is very, very polite, too. There is a young lady from the administration office that goes to see him every day. So, my experience has been excellent. It was totally more than what I expected."

"We went to AdventHealth Care Center Apopka South (Formerly Florida Living Nursing Center). Their memory care center was shut down for rehab, so we couldn't place mom there. It was a very nice facility, they provide activities, and they take them on outings. They had a nicely set up dining facility. They had a TV room and a garden area. The residents can come and go as they please, but the staff seemed very caring and attentive. The facility was very nicely set up."

"I was in Solaris Healthcare Waterman for two years. Pretty much most of the staff was very good. I had a problem with one nurse who I understood that other people had problems with. She actually lied to me about my ileostomy care because she was supposed to change the wafer and it was supposed to be done during the day on her shift. When I reminded her, she said, "Let me check." She came back and said, "Oh, no, it says, do it after 7:00 p.m." I said, "No. That's not what it calls for." She said, "I can't do it, but if you would absolutely insist." I said, "I don't want you to get in trouble." It turned out, she lied. That was not true. Eventually, they let her go, but it took them too long. Everyone complained about her. The nurse said that that nurse would sit there at her nurse's station. They'd outweigh each other to see who would answer a call and finally the other nurse would end up doing it because she was never going to do it. She wasn't allowed to see me after that. We actually had another couple of incidents where I asked for help when my ileostomy leaked. It took her three hours to come, and she claimed she was at a meeting. The supervisor said, "No, we don't call nurses off the floor to have a meeting, especially for three hours." The other nurses were very nice and very good, but for what we were paying, I didn't feel like we got everything we should have gotten. On the other hand, it was clean and the CNAs were, for the most part, excellent. The food was pretty good. The cook did as well as he could. Just before I went there, it was non-profit, and it was sold to a for-profit company and the budgets were cut everywhere. The food budget and stuff was all cut. The kitchen management did an excellent job considering what they did, but after a while, it got tedious because you got the same food all the time. The same things were served all the time. They only have private rooms there. There were no shared rooms available. When my husband went to talk to them about having me there, they said, "We can take ileostomy patients," but they knew nothing about how to take care of the ileostomy. To this day, when I left, they had nurses who didn't like changing the ileostomy wafer. When I first went there, the thing leaked constantly and they didn't seem to be particularly interested in learning. My husband did a lot of research with the company that supplies the ileostomy supplies. We taught them how to do it. They got better. They had quite a few activities and the activities people did a good job. First they came around with carts with things like magazines and puzzle books, Sudoku book, little things like that, but then I was told that the management took away their cart. The activities committee paid for the carts. They said that the management took them away from them. They had to come around with just stuff in their hands. They had bingo and movie nights and all that kind of stuff. I did learn how to get books by mail from them. Occasionally, they got crossword puzzle books and stuff. They had painting. They had a lot of stuff. I just never took advantage of it. The food was good and well prepared, but limited. The facility was overall excellent. They came around every day and asked if we wanted to do something. We were private pay and some people there were on Medicaid."

"My grandmother was in the Ruleme Center. It was peaceful, it had good care, she seemed to like it all right, and she didn't complain. It was nothing really fancy, but it was clean and neat. It seemed like the care was good. I only went in through the dining room and into her room, but it was pleasant and quiet. I was satisfied with the care."
