"I was patient at this facility and i would love to let everyone know they were top notch i would rate them at a 10 out of 10, they provided great rehabilitation services, i loved the nursing staff and the meals were very good. Very flexible to accommodate me. I would recommend this facility to everyone. I even enjoyed the activities programs. If i were ever to be a permanent resident i am choosing them. "

"I am in a nursing program and have visited this facility as part of my clinicals. The facility is beautiful, clean, with a big central garden with lots of trees, walkways and gazebos. The staff is very friendly and kind. And as someone who got a chance to work "behind the scenes", every nursing protocol was followed exactly. "

"My MIL went from rehab to Long Term Care. She is 91 and has dementia. She is not the most pleasant person to be around but the staff treat her kindly. The CNAs have the patience of saints. I honestly don't know how they do it. The rooms are older but clean and pleasant. You have the liberty of making the room as much "like home" as you can. We hung many of her favorite paintings without any problems. I make surprise visits and my MIL is always clean, fed and hydrated. Her call button is answered promptly and with a little coaxing, the staff get her to participate in activities. She has become much more pleasant to be around since moving to Ocoee Health Center and I believe it is due to the caring staff. "

"My mom has been a resident here for a while. I have decided to take the time to write a review now because I want to recognize all of the positive changes I have seen at Lake Bennett in the last few months. Senior care is a challenging field for anyone involved. But, the place has gone from just ok to PRETTY GREAT in the past few months. There is a new manager/person-in-charge and boy should Lake Bennett brag about having her on their team. She is so caring for her residents and staff. She evens cares about us family members. I see how she interacts with her staff, as I visit my mother very often and I can tell she is making a positive impact. My mom has even told me on several occasions that the staff seems to have a "new pep" in their step lately. The building also has a pretty great team overall. My mom always says that perfection does not exist... but she told me that she feels that Lake Bennett is definitely moving in that direction lately. Early this year, we thought about moving her just for the sake of change. But, she and her friends constantly talk about the good changes that have come in the recent months and the positive momentum that she will be staying for as long as she wants. Keep up the great job Lake Bennett Team. The changes so far have been awesome! I know you all work in a challenging field. Thank you for what you do. "

"My father did short-term therapy and made a very good comeback and he is home on his own again. He was at Apopka Health and Rehabilitation Center. They helped him with his balance, his walking, and getting up and down. He couldn't get out of the hospital bed when he left without assistance, and then after one week he was able to walk with the walker and get out of bed. After two weeks he was able to walk without the walker, and on the third week he was able get up and down out of a chair by himself with no help. At Christmas time, he came to our house, and he couldn't get off the couch without assistance. On New Year's Day, he was like, "Look, what I can do," and he got off the couch all by himself. No problems, so they helped him with all his strength and balance. They did rehab every day for two hours in the rehab center, and then every evening a therapist came to his room with hand weights, and they did weights from the chair and the bed. So, he got rehab twice a day. The staff was excellent. Everybody was super friendly and super nice. The facility is beautiful. It's actually pretty new. It's only five years old. I have not tried the food, but he said everything was very good. The rooms were great. He had a shared room, but it was separated by a fairly significant common area and a curtain. They shared a bathroom. He was free to come and go. We were able to pick him up and take him. They have a hair salon, two or three dining rooms, a movie theater, and separate living room areas with couches, chairs, and tables that we could take them to when we wanted to see them. We can walk down to the living room area and sit on the couch and relax and watch TV with them. It was very nice and clean there. They have a schedule of activities every day from 9:00 in the morning until 6:00 at night every day. I think my father participated in some stuff, but I don't know exactly. I don't know what it cost, but it was money well spent. Literally every time we would see him, he would say, "Thank you for giving me this place. Thank you." He was very appreciative that he was there."

"My friend is a resident of The Lakes of Clermont Health and Rehabilitation Center. The place looks great. It looks good. It's very well maintained. The staff looks pretty nice. They have a nice dining area and a nice outside porch area for them to run around. It's clean. They cost a lot of money. I would even put my mom or dad in this place for rehab because it's that nice. I haven't tried the food, but they seem to have a pretty good menu. They have a few different activities. My friend showed me a calendar with activities they have per day for them to go to. It's a nice sized room. They moved him from one room to another since he's on Medicaid/Medicare. It was a little smaller, but it was just as clean and nice as the other one was. They did call me and tell me when his doctor's appointments are going to be. I think the place is nice, and the staff seem really pleasant (at least the staff that I've talked to anyway). They have been really helpful."

"The place was clean and was well provided for the clients that lived there. Most of the staff did their jobs exceptionally well but there seemed to be some staff members that did not care about the clients and did their jobs half way. Still, the clients seemed to be happy and generally well taken care of. Not too many of the clients complained but when some did it was because they wanted their medicine fast or their food. However the place seemed worthy to help assist older people in their daily lives. "

"I have my mom in Courtyards, and everybody there is really nice. I don't have any problems with them. If and when there's an issue, they call me up and let me know what's going on. My mom seems happy. The staff is really good, friendly, answer all of my questions, and if they're too busy, always call me back. They always have something different going on between movie night, bingo night, and card night. They're always doing something, which is good. The rooms are nice. My mom shares the room with somebody else, which is good for her because she has somebody to talk to. She's happy. The pricing is fine, and compared to other facilities, it's a lot more reasonable. I guess the food's OK because she's not complaining. She's Italian, so if the food wasn't good, I'd be hearing about it. "

"I went to Guardian Care Nursing & Rehabilitation Center to visit a fellow church member. That nursing home is very clean and it smells clean. The staff must have been busy that particular day because we didn't see very many of them. The building was nice and clean. At the time we were there, the residents were watching TV. The community has a nice and quiet atmosphere."

"I really like Guardian Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The residents always come first. You can tell that they care about them. My dad has bounced back and is recovering now very well. They administer his medications and assist him with his bathing. He's happy. He is a very picky eater and only trusts his own cooking, but he is enjoying the food there. It is very flavorful and very well put together. The place is also clean. I've never seen the place dirty at all. The staff is very, very polite, too. There is a young lady from the administration office that goes to see him every day. So, my experience has been excellent. It was totally more than what I expected."

"My grandmother was getting old, and she was admitted to OHRC. I'd visit her a ton, so I'm coming from a lot of experience. A lot of people said it was a bad place, most telling me it was "dirty", however, it was extremely clean whenever I was there. The staff was real nice, and my grandmother loved it. They gave her a TV, she could play Wii whenever she wanted (she wasn't much of a gamer, needless to say) and they had daily activities of sorts. Everyone there seemed happy, and you'd think at a nursing home everyone would be grim and sad, like the ones you see on the news, but I was more than surprised at how well it was maintained and how caring the staff was. A+. "

"We went to AdventHealth Care Center Apopka South (Formerly Florida Living Nursing Center). Their memory care center was shut down for rehab, so we couldn't place mom there. It was a very nice facility, they provide activities, and they take them on outings. They had a nicely set up dining facility. They had a TV room and a garden area. The residents can come and go as they please, but the staff seemed very caring and attentive. The facility was very nicely set up."

"The whole therapy team was just awesome! I owed so much of my recovery to Heidi, Quincy, Andrea and others. They were my trainers, cheerleaders and friends. Connie and Daisy are the greatest CNA's. Their kind compassionate care makes the obstacles on has to overcome, that much easier. All the healthcare team become more than caregivers. They became friends! "

"Westminster Towers Orlando is amazing. It's beautiful. There are so many activities and they are so encouraging. My dad doesn't feel left out. The food is great. He has a 10th-floor room that overlooks the skyline of Orlando and the Lake Lucerne fountain. It just couldn't be any better. He has a one-bedroom apartment and it's got a kitchen, a huge pantry, and a nice living room. It's just lovely. There are also laundry facilities on the floor for the units that don't have washer-dryers in their rooms. Their calendar is full. Every time dad has something going on. I went to a yoga class with him today. They have religious things, artistic things, a concert almost every weekend with really fine musicians, and movie nights. It's a packed schedule. The rent includes one meal a day and then you can add on as you wish. It's a cashless plan, so you use a fob to either pay for your guests or to credit your account for your meal, or when you go to the beautician, the barber, or their little general store. They got a computer center, a beautiful gym, and a heated outdoor pool as well. The staff is so kind and helpful."

"Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital provides a little garden area with real food planted there. They also have outdoor rehab work, and they give you all manner of rehab there. They start in the mornings. The people that work in the rehab area are so professional, and they make rehab fun. They make sure you do as well as you can. The food was really good. My room there was clean and nice, but it was not anything spectacular."
