"I moved to Arya at Windermere, it topped my list that's why I ended up here. The staff is great, and when I walked in I felt comfortable. The people and everything, I enjoyed it all. They have bingo, entertainment, there's a lot of stuff, they also have special breakfasts and lunches, they have all sorts of activities. They've done an excellent job on the food and the presentation. The apartment is beautiful, it's one of the nicest places I've been to and I liked it. I have a 1-bedroom with plenty of room and a nice kitchen. They have a library, swimming pool, massage parlor, a sauna or steam room, and they have a workout room."

"I liked Inspired Living at Ocoee. It was nice. It was cleaner and newer. The setup was also nice. You have to bring your own TV, bed, curtains, pictures on the wall, and everything. You furnish the room yourself and they would allow you to bring your dog. They have a swimming pool and they have three meals a day and snacks. The lady that gave the tour was good and knowledgeable of the place and activities that they were doing. She answered all my questions when I wanted answers."

"I'm interested in The Summit of Winter Garden. I just liked it. It felt comfortable. They showed me an apartment, everything was very nice. It was just very nicely laid out, it was big enough and not too big, and it had a nice little bedroom, and a living room. The residents were playing bingo, they had everything, and they said they have a party every Friday night. They had a beauty shop and library, which were very nice, and they offer transportation. It's a very clean and very well-maintained facility."

"I went to Florida Golden Adult Care. I didn't talk to the staff that much. They are not really welcoming. They have a gym. They have a place outside where the residents can sit down. It's like a little park area. The upkeep is good."

"My husband will be moving into Spring Haven Retirement. It was pleasant. They're in the process of enlarging and renovating the place. Everything is going to be repainted and new and fresh looking, so that's a positive. I like the fact that they have options for meals. They have three options for lunch and dinner, which is nice. The rooms are larger than other places. The staff was very helpful. They have activities."

"My mother was at Grand Villa of Altamonte Springs for three weeks. It was a nice memory care facility, but she was a flight risk, she kept trying to escape, and she fell five times. It's like a resort. We were very pleased with the facility and all the people, but my mother was the problem. They tried very hard, but she's just too difficult. The staff was very caring. The food was excellent, looked very nourishing and appetizing, and the menu was always changing. She did puzzles and coloring books, and she sat in the big living room and watched TV. They had the lowest price in the area."

"I visited the memory care area of Brookdale Lake Orienta. The tour was very informative. They were very knowledgeable and very compassionate people. I appreciate they took the time to explain my questions and my concerns. Their food looked healthy and delicious. Everything looked fine and it would be an ideal location for my mom. I also looked at their activity schedule and they have quite a bit of things going on."

"The took walked us around Brookdale Wekiwa Springs. He was nice, but he really didn't have a whole lot of answers on everything and they only had two-bedroom homes instead of one- bedroom homes. However it's a small community, so it's easier for them to keep track of who you are and what you need. The place itself was nice. We were impressed with it. It was just a little too pricey for us."

"I think Chambrel at Island Lake is quite an attractive facility. It looks like the apartments are nice. We only dealt with one person and she was very knowledgeable and very helpful. "

"Good Samaritan was probably be a good one if my parents were decided to that. My mother was on a rehab a couple of years ago at the same place. There’s either apartment or manufactured homes that they can live in, and they have transportation to the doctor and shopping; it was really nice. The staff was very good. I only saw the building with the apartment and then the manufactured homes. It was nice, and I have only been in to the inside of the rehab center. The dining room was spacious and clean. They have games and bingo. It is really secure, and it is kind hard to get out or come in; security is really good. I think they need more exits to come in or go out; it’s really big. "

"Good Samaritan Society was great. I really liked it, and it would be nice for my father. They had great staff and great activities. The facility was very clean. It's a great environment. It's a mixed community so you have independent living, assisted living and full care. It's perfect and in great proximity to other family members. The location was nice."

"My father-in-law is happy with Good Samaritan Society - Kissimmee Village West. He's been there for years. He's in independent living, and he has his own apartment. It's been mostly good. He moved there for his wife's care who had Alzheimer's, but she has since died. He likes the social environment and relative independence. He's in a one-bedroom apartment. It has a kitchen, living room, bedroom, and porch. It's ground floor. It's in a building that's nestled in some trees. It's very pleasant. It gets cleaned weekly, but generally, the grounds and the building, and the apartment are well kept. They did have a crisis with the hurricane where everybody had to leave and it was flooded. His apartment wasn't flooded, but a lot of the facility was flooded. He and everybody else was required to evacuate for a month, so that was kind of an inconvenience and a lot of people were not able to go back. There were trailers. It's a big facility, but his part was OK and it's well-maintained. He gets his meals there, and he's pretty pleased with the food. The dining area is quite nice. They have some exercise equipment. The computers are loaded with mental exercises and things like that. There are plenty of places to walk. He has access to a treadmill. He plays card games with other residents almost every day. They have a little chapel, so they have church services there and they have singing."
