"My husband will be moving into Spring Haven Retirement. It was pleasant. They're in the process of enlarging and renovating the place. Everything is going to be repainted and new and fresh looking, so that's a positive. I like the fact that they have options for meals. They have three options for lunch and dinner, which is nice. The rooms are larger than other places. The staff was very helpful. They have activities."

"We place my father-in-law and his wife here. It is an age-in-place community. That is important to us. It has a restaurant style dining facility where the food is off a menu daily so they can choose. My father-in-law does not have teeth and has awkward dentures so his food is pureed. They know that, and they take care of that for him. They can have a healthcare aide to help them with the laundry, they can have a laundry service or they can do the laundry on their own. "

"The facility is lovely, the food is good, and the activities are well planned. But what is most impressive is the quality of care. The employees have been there a long time and they know the names and personalities of the residents. They interact and seem to truly enjoy doing what they do. We spoke with some of the residents who only reinforced what we saw by saying it felt like a big family and they really felt cared for. Many thanks to Barnie. My husband and I came the first time on our own and then we brought my mom back a second time and she was very pleased. "They were all very helpful and qualified at The Tremont. It was an excellent facility. They had various activities, and they were very accommodating to the residents' needs. They also had a nice variety of food. They had an exercise room, crafts, and bingo. They also had a van that takes people to different places like shopping or doctors' appointments. They were very good. "

"This is the facility that I really like the best. My mother has Alzheimer's and I did like the fact that they did keep them out of the general public. I also like that they are in the area of the building that is just for Alzheimer's patient. They have rooms where you could have two people in and they also have single rooms. "

"Chambrel was excellently super. The room and the dining room were very nice, and I think everybody was very nice. I liked it best. They had a lot of things going on, and the staff was very nice. "

"Good Samaritan was probably be a good one if my parents were decided to that. My mother was on a rehab a couple of years ago at the same place. There’s either apartment or manufactured homes that they can live in, and they have transportation to the doctor and shopping; it was really nice. The staff was very good. I only saw the building with the apartment and then the manufactured homes. It was nice, and I have only been in to the inside of the rehab center. The dining room was spacious and clean. They have games and bingo. It is really secure, and it is kind hard to get out or come in; security is really good. I think they need more exits to come in or go out; it’s really big. "

"Good Samaritan Society was great. I really liked it, and it would be nice for my father. They had great staff and great activities. The facility was very clean. It's a great environment. It's a mixed community so you have independent living, assisted living and full care. It's perfect and in great proximity to other family members. The location was nice."

"My father-in-law is happy with Good Samaritan Society - Kissimmee Village West. He's been there for years. He's in independent living, and he has his own apartment. It's been mostly good. He moved there for his wife's care who had Alzheimer's, but she has since died. He likes the social environment and relative independence. He's in a one-bedroom apartment. It has a kitchen, living room, bedroom, and porch. It's ground floor. It's in a building that's nestled in some trees. It's very pleasant. It gets cleaned weekly, but generally, the grounds and the building, and the apartment are well kept. They did have a crisis with the hurricane where everybody had to leave and it was flooded. His apartment wasn't flooded, but a lot of the facility was flooded. He and everybody else was required to evacuate for a month, so that was kind of an inconvenience and a lot of people were not able to go back. There were trailers. It's a big facility, but his part was OK and it's well-maintained. He gets his meals there, and he's pretty pleased with the food. The dining area is quite nice. They have some exercise equipment. The computers are loaded with mental exercises and things like that. There are plenty of places to walk. He has access to a treadmill. He plays card games with other residents almost every day. They have a little chapel, so they have church services there and they have singing."
