"Aspire at Central Park was lovely. It's a nursing home and was very clean and neat. The guy who showed me around was very kind and professional and gave me a little bit of a history of the place. After the tour, he called and followed up, gave me some pamphlets, and gave me the best advice on how to go about the quickest way to get my mom in. He was good. They have a critical care area in the other wing, a separate room for their cafeteria, and another room where they bring the residents out to have activities. They do different things like physical activities and singing. They also have different people who come in and visit the residents. There is a garden outside, so if I come and visit my mom, I could take her out and push her around in her chair. It was very nice."

"When I visited this facility I was in a high school CNA program. The smell was not the best, it smelled like urine. The staff was not the nicest of people except for a few extraordinary individuals. I was able to witness a paraplegic with a bed sore as well as a man who has polo. I was taught how to bath the patient and give a patient a bed pan as well as lifting a patient in a Hoyer lift. One of the better days was when they had an activity day outside and I was able to make cotton candy for the people and serve popcorn. We had a dunk tank and a bean bag toss outside and the patients would receive prizes like stuff animals. I also was able to witness how they fed the patients in the cafeteria there. Everyone was able to sit at round tables as if it were a restaurant and they would socialize and eat their food, some with CNA's that would feed them. After they ate they would look at their meal ticket and write the percent of food that they ate. Everyone in the psychiatric unit was very friendly. That was my favorite place. Meal time was the same only everyone stayed inside that locked down unit. There was one particular patient that would always take off her socks. It was cute. "

"Scott Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center was very beautifully designed. You had a private room. They had no bad nurses like the other facility did. Everyone is either professional or friendly, which is good enough for me. You always felt better at Scott Lake than you did at the other for instance. However, if the point of being there is not a hotel but a rehab, then other facilities were better. Scott Lake's rehab was very casual and you felt very comfortable being there, but the progress was also very leisurely and comfortable. Sometimes you want to be uncomfortable in rehab."

"My mom has been a resident since Oct. She has some excellent nurses and aides. Any complaints/problems we had were addressed immediately and taken care of. I like that they handle all her medical care and I have constant interaction with staff and management and very happy with them. They have plenty of activities that my mom goes to. My mom can choose to eat in her room or go to the dining room for her meals. The building she is in is old, but clean. She gets to choose what meals she wants and most of them are really good. Everyone treats her and me with respect."

"The staff at Lakeland Hills Center is pretty good. I'm happy with it and my brother who's a resident is happy as well. He has a TV which he enjoys. They also go to places all the time, like to Walmart, or department stores, and all that."

"My aunt lives at Estates at Carpenters. I was able visit the place. It's a large campus and it's nicely landscaped. I was able to see their common rooms. They have a craft and game room. I guess I would say the thing that stands out is that they seemed to have all the basics covered in the sense that there are a lot of conveniences located right there on site. There's transportation to medical appointment or shopping. They have excursions that they arrange for the residents to go. I only interacted with only a couple staff very briefly and they were very friendly, professional, warm, and welcoming. "

"My father is in Hawthorne Center for Rehabilitation of Brandon. He was there for rehab. They don't have any open spaces for long term. It's a little different than others. It's kind of a family-oriented thing where when you go there, they make sure that they guide you in what you need to do, or if you plan on having them stay permanently. They're very good on the rehab. They've gotten my dad up every day and showed him how to get his legs back under him, learn how to get out of bed, and learn how to sit down and get up. They're working with him every day. He's on mechanical food, so they've been working with him on seeing if he can get to real food or what. They're working with him every day. Someone is calling me, letting me know what's going on. We're in line for a long-term bed if it becomes available. The food is pretty good. They're willing to try and work with whoever their patient is to see if they don't like the food. They try to change it up for them or whatever."

"I visited The Club at Lake Gibson. It was a beautiful place. It was a new facility, so it's very modern and updated. The staff was friendly. They had many dining rooms. They had an outside area. They had a movie room. They had a nice gym and rehab room. The rooms were very large."

"My ninety-one year old father stayed at Highlands Lake Center for seven weeks from mid-December 2015 to the end of January 2016 recovering from serious injuries to his leg (hip) and arm. My dad transferred to the facility after having surgery at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. When my dad arrived, he was unable to even move in the bed without nursing assistance. By the time he left the facility seven weeks later, my dad was walking normally using a walker only to ensure that he did not loose his balance. He continues to improve daily and soon expects to no longer need the walker at all. I was at Highlands Lake Center at all hours of the day and night visiting my father. I usually arrived unannounced. The nursing staff was of the highest quality and very kind to my dad. My dad repeatedly said that the quality of the care he was receiving was excellent. The facility was always spotlessly clean. The staff was so nice to my dad and to all the patients that I talked with during the many hours that I spent there. The physical therapy department is first rate. My dad had physical therapy every day except Sunday and the improvements he made were dramatic. The physical therapists constantly pushed my dad to improve and that encouragement made a real positive difference in my dad's recovery. Based on my dad's experience there, I highly recommend Highlands Lake Center. "

"The staff was very friendly, and the people seemed to be happy, reasonably so.  The place was clean.  My husband was only here for four nights.  His room had two beds, a closet, a bathroom, and a dresser."

"My grandmother lived very happily in this nursing home. After she had a stroke, the hospital suggested this nursing home as one of the best in dealing with post-stroke rehabilitation. I always found the staff to be very kind and caring, the food was always delivered on time ( and tasted good!) and the facilities were always clean. My grandmother shared a room with another woman, but they also had private rooms, which cost more money. There always seemed to be some kind of games or events going on at this nursing home. Some nights were bingo and others they played cards. They had different lunches and dinners based on the holidays and they food was mostly in season. Probably one of the best aspects of this nursing home is its location- it sits right on lake Zephyr and it's a nice stroll around the lake, which can also accommodate a wheelchair. Overall I think this is a great place. "

"My mom has been here for 7 years. We are very please most of the time. Few issues when new staff come in. Fairway fixes everything quickly. The place is very clean. The staff in my mom's area are very friendly and helpful. During Covid they call with updates regularly. They even had a parade to drive by and wave."
