I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

We LOVE Ansley Parke for our dad!! My brother and I visited quite a few assisted living facilities in greater Lakeland, knowing that our dad wouldn't be able to live by himself much longer. The time came and dad needed to move to assisted living. Now that he has been there 3 months I can honestly say that we are all very, very happy with this decision. The staff is all very friendly and they make my dad's life so much better than we thought was possible. Everything from the meals to the personal care with things like making his bed, laundry, help with his medicine, haircuts, activities, and so much more. I visit dad just about every day, all times of day, and I have always been happy with everything the staff does to help dad's life be great. Ansley Parke is such a great experience that I find myself recommending them to friends with aging parents all the time. When dad lived by himself I was just about his only source of help, and that was a BIG source of stress! I finally have peace of mind that my dad is not in need of anything, and I can go on vacation and not worry about dad's needs while I'm away. I visit him all the time, just to have the company of my father, and not because he needs something. Now we get to talk and relax and the staff is there for any needs he might have. I never thought about it before, but a great assisted living facility like this, will even improve family relations and everyone's peace of mind. Ansley Parke has made the lives of our entire family MUCH better!!! Thank you!

Ansley Parke at Oakbridge was just the first place I visited to see what things were available for my mother, and I was very impressed with it. Tammy, one of the administrators, was very welcoming and very informative. She showed me some rooms, showed me around the place, and showed me where the residents would eat. Everybody was very friendly and very social. A lot of activities were already going on and I was very impressed. They had exercise classes during the day. They take them one day a week by bus and they go to the movies, restaurants, and shopping. It's an all-day thing so everybody could be included. They had different activities scheduled for the month so people can see what was going on that day or the rest of the month. There was a theater room and a library. The facility was very clean, also. The dining area was very clean, and the people that were assisting there were very friendly. The menu had a variety of things, and if you do not like what was on the menu, you can pick something else. They also have doctors that come in to check on their residents.

Provider Response

Hello Shari and thank you for your review! You are so right about the numerous fun activities! That's a busy group of residents! We are thrilled you were happy with what you heard, saw and experienced and hope your mom decides it's right for her and enjoys a happy life at Ansley Parke!

We're looking at moving mom to Ansley Parke at Oakbridge. The staff was very friendly. The food smelled very good. The accommodations were upgraded and renovated recently and clean. They have lots of activities for the residents and the price was good. We toured the one-bedroom, but we are going to go with a studio. They go up to a two-bedroom. They had several little dining areas, and a movie theater, and they do nails and bingo and different activities. They have a whole activity board. They do a once-a-week trip on a bus to shopping and dining excursion. They have a hair salon for an extra charge. They have walking paths outside.

Provider Response

Well welcome to the AP Family!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will NOT be disappointed in the activities for sure! We are proud that you like the community and wish you many happy days!

Ansley Parke at Oakbridge was fine. The only thing is they didn't have the facilities or a room that was large enough that my father felt comfortable in. We saw the maintenance in motion. They were replacing something that had gone wrong, and they were coming down the hallway with it. We were right next to where they were replacing an air conditioner. The rooms were all nicely kept. Some of them were larger. It's just that they didn't have something that my father was comfortable with. Some of them did and some of them didn't have carpeting, and they could be adjusted for the person. At that time, my father didn't like the idea that they had a bedroom without a door. They have TV nights, and they have people vote on what they want to watch. Then they have little parties and things. They have a cooking place. It's not that they cook; they have somebody there that does the cooking and shows them how to do it with things they can use in their own rooms. You're not allowed to have something that doesn't work on a timer. That's where my parents were having a really hard time of it. I would have picked it for myself. I'm 70. If I had to go into one, that would be fine. They were great. Everybody that I talked to or saw was doing what they were supposed to do. At the other places, some of them were on their phones or whatever. Their facility is new. There's nothing that has to be done other than maybe adjusting something that somebody wanted done. I don't know how fast they do it. I did talk to the maintenance guy. From what I understand, when a work order is put in, he takes care of it.

My sister moved into Ansley Parke at Oakbridge. I like it because it is new. They had just refurbished everything. The people that were in the office were very easy to work with and kept their appointments. The moving in went pretty smoothly. It is a nice place, and the food is decent. So my sister is safe here, and that's very important to me. The staff was pretty friendly. We like the lady who's in charge of the activities. She's great, very creative, and likes what she's doing. The facility is nice and clean. There's something on the calendar every single day. Before the holidays, they did a lot of crafts. They had guests and singers. My sister loves jigsaw puzzles, so there are plenty of puzzles to work on. They make the activity room available all the time, so she can come and go in there. They have a place in there for people to play their own music and even use a microwave. The lady who is the director of activities is really what makes the program wonderful. I think it's worth the three meals a day plus her care and taking care of her meds.

The staff have been very helpful in moving my mother over from her home. Many staff members have went over and above to assist with the needs at hand and we are greatly thankful . Wonderful facility very well kept inside and out and location is outstanding, A great place to live. Variety of room sizes to fit any need. Other residents engage and really enjoy living here.

My husband has moved into Ansley Parke at Oakbridge. It was a situation where with the medications that he's on, the facility had to have a certain level of license and they have that. And it was still a fairly reasonably priced place. The staff's great so far. The place is good because he's legally blind and his room is pretty close to the dining room, so I think it's easier for him to navigate because of the size of the facility. They have arestaurant-style dining room. There are also some outside covered areas to sit, as well as a walking path. Being that he just moved in there on Thursday, and they just took over the facility, they're kind of in the process of remodeling and getting activity started up again because of Covid. They have a bus or whatever you want to call it, to bring them on little shopping trips or little trips here and there. But that hasn't started yet because they just took over.

Moving my mother in today and transferring my father from a nursing home so they can see each other more often since my mother no longer drives. The staff has been wonderful through the transition.

I went here and I really liked it. It was beautiful all the way around. It was clean, it was friendly, everyone there was helpful, and the people that were there seemed happy. They took a lot of time with me and answered all of my questions because I've never done it before. I was very pleased with them. They wouldn't let me go in the dining area because of COVID. There were people watching movies and they had a yoga class. I thought it was really sweet. The people were all engaged and they had some ladies that were sitting; either knitting or crocheting. I was very impressed with them and had my mother not gotten sick as she did, that's where I would place her. It was clean, it smelled nice, and didn't smell like a hospital. It was very bright, open, colorful, and very pleasing to the eye. That caught my attention right away.

My mom has been living here for two months. It's nice, and we're happy with it. The place is clean, and the food is pretty good. They take my mom to shopping and come and get her for exercise class. She loves her little apartment. The staff is great.

It is a very nice facility and newly renovated. It was very clean and had a culinary institute that they partner with for their food. The menu selection was really good, and they had an activities schedule.

My mom has been here 8 month's, she loves it here. The staff is wonderful and very caring. My mom was sick and I was notified immediately by Corina. Sheryl the director is awesome. Corona the RN. Is way beyond awesome. Both Corona and Sheryl care deeply about all the residents. There are no roaches as one person said. I am there at all hours and the building is kept very clean. Yes there are people that sit in the common are, that is what they want to do. I have been there for the activities. My mom exercise in the mornings, plays bingo and other games that they play, she has done painting . The women can get their nails done at no charge. They do special events that include family's. They have ice cream socials every week, celebrates birthdays monthly. I even celebrated my mom's birthday there with everyone there she loved it. They are like one big fan.only and watch out for each other. I'm told if my mom misses a meal and that is by her friends. Did I mention my mom h as special needs that they take care of and I know it is done, my mom talks to me about what she does when I'm not there and if anything happens she tells me. . She does not go on the excursions outside of the building. I do see them when they leave and when they come back. I love this place and everyone that works there, they take great care of the residents as if they were their own grandparents.

I thought it was nice, but my mother wanted more room than what they had. She even considered going into a 2-bedroom apartment in order to have a little bit more room. The rooms were small, but other than that, I was impressed with the facility. The dining area looked very nice.

The staff was extremely accommodating, and they made us feel welcome. They have many activities, but there was no pool. They had entertainment and bingo. It was very clean, and it didn’t smell. They were very good. The main thing was that they didn’t have transportation to community events, and we were concerned about that; none of them had that. I saw their dining room, and it was very nice. It was very well lit and airy, and it would’ve been a good place to go and eat. I saw no need for improvement there. It was a medium-sized facility, and it would’ve been very comfortable to move in if we had been ready, but we’re not.

I've been here and the place is really nice. My husband's parents have been there for a while. The staff are very nice and very friendly. Their rooms are airy, bright, and of adequate size. The dining room was also very nice. The halls are wide enough to maneuver around and the outside area was very nice. I saw some activities when we went there and I know that they had something almost every week and it was good.

We saw it and that's the one we liked the best. This would probably the one that we will put her in, but mom is not ready yet for an assisted living. We felt that this facility would be the place my mom. She would be comfortable and happy there. The staff members that we met were very nice and the lady that talked to us was very pleasant. We saw the rooms and we felt it very suitable. I didn't have any problems with them at all.
