"We like the staff at Nazareth Home-Clifton Campus. They're so caring to Dad and they are so good to us. There are some that aren't, but overall, they are very concerned, very nice, very cordial, and helpful to us when we were there. My mother and my brother liked them, too. The facility is pretty clean. There's a huge courtyard and they're trying to bloom flowers around there. There are benches and tables and it's pretty out there."

"My husband is a resident of Nazareth Home - Clifton Campus. I like Nazareth home. It's about 12 miles one way, so that's 24 miles if I try to go up there to see him, and with the gas prices and everything going up, I just wanted to have him a little closer to home. It's been a good experience. They're nice to him, but I just wanted him closer to home. I just thought it would be nice if we could run and get him and he'd be really close. The staff has all been very nice to him and he likes them. He's on a very strict diet, so he complains about that. They only give him a certain amount, but it's because of his diabetes. He needed to lose weight and they just want to keep a close eye on his sugars and his food intake. I do take him something every now, and then when I go up there I try to take him up something special, like a milkshake or something different than what I think he will be getting there at the home. But they give him snacks, ice cream, Jell-O, and they even give him cookies at times. They're very good. I've been in there sometimes when it's kind of messy, but I think a lot of that is him. He lays in his bed most of the time and if they come in to clean his room and he'll say, "I'm all right, you can come back later," or something like that. I'm sure they're short staffed, especially after the pandemic, and I told him he just needs to let them clean his room. But I've been in there when the room is really clean, too. They have a courtyard, and they play games with them. They have music, and they have people that come in and play music and sing with them. They do bingo and the price is right for little gifts and things that they can win. He doesn't really participate in that; he's just not like that. Nobody's perfect, it's not always perfect. To me, it looks like it is clean, but I think there's always room for improvement. They're short staffed and that's hard to be dumped off on one or two people. But they have good staff and I've been satisfied. We have Medicaid, but I still pay them a lot of money a month. I know that it's not the home charging me that money, and it's Medicaid telling me what I can pay or what I'm supposed to pay, and that part I don't like, but it has nothing to do with the home."

"My husband is at Klondike Care and Rehab Center. The staff is very caring. They interact with the patients constantly. Even on their breaks, they were outside with their patients. They always speak to them by name. They are more like a family that staff. The administrator in the nursing facility always makes it a point in helping and they are always out with the patients during the day. They don't stay in their offices. I think the care that they give the patients is better than what my husband had received in other nursing and rehab places. They have private room. But my husband is in a semi-private room. The rooms were very clean and adequate. They have a lot of daily activities. They have people who come in and provide entertainment. They have outings once or twice a month for people who are able to go out. The food is adequate. However, I don’t think the food is as good as it can be. "

"Parkway was my chance to make it back to work and live as well as I could after a open heart surgery. the therapy department and staff were encouraging and warm it was home away from home. When I needed them they were there and the food was wonderful thank you dietary for the homemade vegetable soup! Everyone cares about you there. "

"I just finished my rehab at Brownsboro Hills. The rehab. therapists were excellent and very friendly along with all the staff. They encouraged me to do my best. I am doing better now than I was before my illness. The place was clean and didn't stink. "

"My father moved into Eastern Star Home. The location was good and it's very homey. It has care like a nursing home, but it doesn't look like a nursing home. His room looks more like an apartment. I brought all of his stuff, and then they provided a hospital bed. You could decorate it and you didn't have to use their furniture, so it doesn't look like a hospital room. He's not able to do a lot, but every time I go visit him, they get him out of his wheelchair and he's sitting in his recliner. The door is always open. He's always clean. In the other places I've had him, he would have a dirty shirt on but here he's never had a dirty shirt on. He doesn't want to participate in anything, but they take him outside. He loves the outside, so for his level, it's working well for him. He used to fall all the time at his last facility, and he's only fallen one time here. It is just so much better than where he was before. The physical condition is kind of dated, but it's very clean. They clean the bathrooms every day. It's way less expensive than a lot of the other places I looked at."

"I've been in Clifton Oaks Care Center for over two weeks now. I'm not happy with the medical staff. The aides and almost everybody do not listen. The food here is edible, but it's nothing special. They tried to get the meals here on time and bring snacks around. This facility is quite old, and you can see where they've had to make some repairs. My room has a TV. They have physical therapy here and people that do arts and crafts. They have groups and have trips to lunch outside."

"I stayed here twice after having one knee then the other replaced one at a time within a couple months. I loved it there. In some it may not have the newest furniture and decor but the staff is really wonderful. They are so kind and cheerful. They display enthusiasm every time they enter your room. Every person, from the Drs to the nurses and aides and down to the cleaning personnel were kind and caring. The orthopedic department was wonderful and staffed by very talented and fun therapists. The office staff in admissions and accounting are very patient oriented and will work very hard to help you with any issue. All in all, I highly recommend Hillcreek if you want to be cared for by wonderful people whom you know love their jobs. It's easy to tell. They definitely need more cable channels for TV. Don't count on coffee or tea you order with you meals to be very hot. But for my money I want a kind caring staff...don't you? "

"Marcie and her staff are not only professional but also loving kind and very compassionate. My father in law was cared for here and we liked everything about this facility. Whenever we need a place for my mother or any other family member will try to get them admitted here first."

"Each time I go to visit my grandfather is has always been a hassle free experience. I usually take my brother along with me and the staff never have any issues with us visiting him. The staff seem to care very much about us, they had already learned our names and knew exactly who we were coming to visit by the third time we had came. We usually take our grandfather for a short walk around the third floor of the building and along our walk we always stop to play a game of pool, he just loves to watch us play. Then we go out on the balcony for some fresh air and we catch grandpa up on whats been happening at home. After we walk him back to his room we begin to leave the building and the staff always tell us we are welcome back whenever. "

"My Mother entered this facility in August for rehab. She is now in long term care due to the progression of her dementia. No one ever wants their loved one to live in a nursing home. But our family is happy with the care our Mom receives. The staff is available and responsive to our concerns regarding our Mom's needs. They care about the level of patient care. "

"I went to Westport Place Health Campus, then I went somewhere else, and finally I came back to Westport Place. The facility was modern, built within the last fifteen years, had lots of acreage, and you don't feel closed in. It had a liberal policy about "come as you go, when you want to go, and when you want to come back." Lots of rooms face the campus side rather than the road side, and it is set well off the road. There were lots of chairs, tables, porches, and places to be indoors, as well as a big rotunda, lots of easily accessible offices, and several dining rooms. On the more residential side, they had several dining rooms and a very nice menu. On the more short-term rehab side, there were spacious rooms, comfortable beds, lots of windows, which are important to me, not that great of a gym, pool tables, and private rooms where you can gather your people and come in. It seemed like they provide excellent nursing care."
