"Forest Springs Health Campus was very nice, but they didn't have independent houses. They have apartments or a triplex. The facilities were very nice. Even the eating facilities were wonderful. The rooms were great and the staff was wonderful. They treated me like a king. They had a wonderful facility for playing cards, bingo, pool tables, they go on trips, and they have people who come in to put on shows. I liked the place a lot. However, if I live here for three years, which is over $80,000, I will get nothing out of it other than a hotel room basically."

"My mother was in Glen Ridge Health Campus. It's nice, it doesn't smell or anything, and the staff was very nice. It has a little bit more of a nursing home vibe like the room is just a room, it's not an apartment. It has the same kind of rules as assisted living, being able to get out and get around somewhat, and being able to feed yourself, the same type of rules. The rooms looked more like a hospital room, but a little bit bigger, maybe with a little couch in there, but it wasn't a lot of space. They have community areas where you could go down and get some coffee and that kind of stuff. They're nice, it's just the other place was nicer, and the rehab portions were nice. The staff is kind and the place was clean, everybody there had been very kind, there was no dirt or trash or anything, and trash cans were emptied."

"My grandmother moved into Jeffersontown Rehabilitation. She was in the hospital and needed to go somewhere, and they were very quick to respond and offer me assistance and paperwork to get done. They just made the transition very easy. She's currently still in the rehab room. They're supposed to be moving her, but I'm not sure when they're going to. Right now, she has a single room and when they move her to long-term care, she'll be in a double room. The facility is clean. When it comes to activities, she really can't do anything. They tried with the PT, but she physically wasn't able to do it. They do have different activities, but she's not interested in them, so they're kind of at a loss for her. For the staff, the ones I've dealt with were very nice and knowledgeable."

"My mom is now in Golden Living Centers. She's doing well, and she is actually where she needs to be. Honestly, my niece works at the nursing home area. So, by that relationship, we are very much aware of the nursing and the people that work in it. That pretty much is the main reason why we selected it. The biggest thing, actually, is the staff. In general, they are very caring. When she was initially placed there, we had meetings regularly to talk about how she was doing and how she was responding to the therapy that she was having at that time. They make you feel very comfortable and make you feel you are part of the actual staff there. They value our opinions. They are very accepting of both my mother and my family. They are very positive and supportive to me and my family. They take time to listen and answer all the questions that we have. The rooms are double, so they have two beds in a room. They tend to match the roommates. If they have an issue with one roommate, they are very open to move her to a different room. They offer a full range of therapy, whic is very extensive, and they offer a lot of services to her. So she is able to have as much therapy as she needs. She has speech and physical therapy. My mom is happy there, and that makes a big difference to us. "

"Dad moved to Bradford Square and he is happy there. They're taking good care of him. They have nice and clean facilities. They have a room where they can all go and be together to play games and stuff like that. In their rooms, they have their TV and restroom. The food is healthy. They are a little short-staffed, but the staff that I have met has been very friendly and helpful. They're a little expensive."

"My mother is a resident there. The staff especially Nurse Gloria are always nice, friendly and willing to help. My mother is 96 and suffers from dementia, they are so caring, kind, attentive and patient with her. The rooms are double occupancy, she has plenty of room. She does enjoy playing bingo and the Friday afternoon social hour. There is rehab both physically and ,mentaly. "

"My husband was at The Springs at Stony Brook for a short time. We were fine while he was there. We were fine with the people there, also. We've been very lucky with people, I will have to say. He was better, health-wise than he was when he was over there. He had physical therapy there. He never complained about the food. They brought his meals to his room."

"One of the reasons why I choose Episcopal Church Home for my wife is that they best fit our needs. They are private paid for now and depending on how long she will stay there, they are willing to switch to medicate. Another reason is that my son lives nearby. They facility is very nice. The staff has been cooperative and helpful from the application, to admission and now that she is in there. They are very friendly and I am very pleased. Her room was nice, cozy and clean. I will recommend them to others. "

"My dad moved into Jefferson Place. What I like best is the fact that they accepted him for a Medicaid bid. I think you can always improve the medical staff. The food is good. They have multiple activities every day. There is an exercise area, a library, a common area, a cafeteria, an outdoor garden, and a big-screen TV."
