"My brother was in Riverview Village for many years. He was happy up there, and he got along with everybody. If he ever had any problem, they always called me. If I had a problem with something that was going on, I called them or went up there, and we straightened it out. He made a lot of friends. It was a good place. He was in a two-bedroom, and he had no problem that I know of. The rooms were nice, and the temperature of the room was kept satisfactory to me. The laundry was done properly. They helped him with his food because he was paralyzed on one side. He went to physical therapy when he could, but he didn't really participate in any recreational things. "

"My mother was in assisted living but broke her leg & went here for rehab. Rehab and therapist program here is excellent. After rehab we decided to stay because she likes it so much. The staff is very friendly and attends to all her needs in a timely manner. Food is good and there are a lot of activities, games, celebrations, outings etc. Rooms are a good size. Juanita, a social worker is one of the hardest working, kind, respectful, thoughtful women that works here and helped take care of everything we need. I am very happy how well they take care of my mom and that she is happy here. "

"The staff was alright. I didn't have any problem with them. The rooms appeared well kept to me. A lot of rooms were occupied, some of them had husband and wife, and I thought that was so sweet. It was close to me. Several of my friends had been in the Robert E. Lee. It was a nice facility, it was well kept, and the grounds were neat. "

"I've been in Clifton Oaks Care Center for over two weeks now. I'm not happy with the medical staff. The aides and almost everybody do not listen. The food here is edible, but it's nothing special. They tried to get the meals here on time and bring snacks around. This facility is quite old, and you can see where they've had to make some repairs. My room has a TV. They have physical therapy here and people that do arts and crafts. They have groups and have trips to lunch outside."

"I just finished my rehab at Brownsboro Hills. The rehab. therapists were excellent and very friendly along with all the staff. They encouraged me to do my best. I am doing better now than I was before my illness. The place was clean and didn't stink. "

"We like the staff at Nazareth Home-Clifton Campus. They're so caring to Dad and they are so good to us. There are some that aren't, but overall, they are very concerned, very nice, very cordial, and helpful to us when we were there. My mother and my brother liked them, too. The facility is pretty clean. There's a huge courtyard and they're trying to bloom flowers around there. There are benches and tables and it's pretty out there."

"My husband is a resident of Nazareth Home - Clifton Campus. I like Nazareth home. It's about 12 miles one way, so that's 24 miles if I try to go up there to see him, and with the gas prices and everything going up, I just wanted to have him a little closer to home. It's been a good experience. They're nice to him, but I just wanted him closer to home. I just thought it would be nice if we could run and get him and he'd be really close. The staff has all been very nice to him and he likes them. He's on a very strict diet, so he complains about that. They only give him a certain amount, but it's because of his diabetes. He needed to lose weight and they just want to keep a close eye on his sugars and his food intake. I do take him something every now, and then when I go up there I try to take him up something special, like a milkshake or something different than what I think he will be getting there at the home. But they give him snacks, ice cream, Jell-O, and they even give him cookies at times. They're very good. I've been in there sometimes when it's kind of messy, but I think a lot of that is him. He lays in his bed most of the time and if they come in to clean his room and he'll say, "I'm all right, you can come back later," or something like that. I'm sure they're short staffed, especially after the pandemic, and I told him he just needs to let them clean his room. But I've been in there when the room is really clean, too. They have a courtyard, and they play games with them. They have music, and they have people that come in and play music and sing with them. They do bingo and the price is right for little gifts and things that they can win. He doesn't really participate in that; he's just not like that. Nobody's perfect, it's not always perfect. To me, it looks like it is clean, but I think there's always room for improvement. They're short staffed and that's hard to be dumped off on one or two people. But they have good staff and I've been satisfied. We have Medicaid, but I still pay them a lot of money a month. I know that it's not the home charging me that money, and it's Medicaid telling me what I can pay or what I'm supposed to pay, and that part I don't like, but it has nothing to do with the home."
