"Brownsboro Park Retirement Community was a very nice facility with great staff and good programs. Overall, it had a very good feel to it. We talked with the folks who were living there, and they were very happy. This place is a definite possibility for us. "

"We chose The Spring House at Louisville for my brother-in-law. It's an unbelievably nice facility where the food is great. The attention to his care is top notch and he seems to enjoy it and like it. The staff is very attentive and extremely professional. This facility is a renovated hotel complex, so his room is very nice. It's a large room. It has a very safe and large bathroom with plenty of safety features. Other than that, it has a nice big window to look out, plenty of room, and extremely clean. For memory care, they have a very large common space with couches and a TV that my brother-in-law can walk down to. There are several tables where they have card games or other things that he can participate in. The amenities feel very spacious and new. It doesn't feel like an old-age home facility. It's very, very new and modern."

"I toured Louisville East, a Christian Care Community, and everything about them was perfect. I would highly recommend that someone take a tour of that place. Everything was all right there on the same level as her apartment would be. It is a very short distance to all the amenities. There were no elevators, and you just walk right in and you're there. The place is very new, modern, and up to date. The room that I looked at was move in ready. It was spotless. The painting was done. Everything was completely ready, and there was a lot of light. They have classes. They have a chapel right there for them, and they have a beauty salon. The staff is outstanding, and they were ready for me to be there. They were they were all set up and ready for it."

"The staff was very helpful and accessible when we were making the decision for my Mom to move in. The process went smooth including offering guidance on other resources to help in the move. My Mom has adjusted well really due to the welcoming environment at Story Point."

"StoryPoint Middletown was very nice and very contemporary. However, I did not think that it fit what my father would like. It was a gorgeous building. Everything was very nice. My father doesn't really need all the bells and whistles that they have there. They have a gym and a salon. It is very centrally located to a lot of shopping, a lot of restaurants, and a lot of churches. It would be very easy for seniors to get around and get to the places where they wanted to go."

"The decision to move my parents to a higher care facility was difficult. The staff has been very supportive of me and my parents through the transition. Any concerns that we have encountered have been quickly and kindly addressed."

"Westminster Village Kentuckiana was good. They showed us one of the guestrooms, the dining area, and the gathering area where they have entertainment. I liked the view out the window of the rooms. There was a lake, grass, and trees. I liked that they had lots of entertainment scheduled if people chose to participate. It was clean. It's one of the older facilities, but I believe the price is a little less, too. So it depends on what a person can afford. I think it's one of the larger ones also. There were tables all set in the dining area and they were getting ready for a meal and everything looked nice. The lady who gave us the tour was the assistant person, not the normal person who shows people around, but she did a great job."

"My aunt lives in this facility and has been here for 3 years. The staff there are very caring and considerate of my aunts feelings and beliefs. She suffers with Alzheimer's and often forgets many things. They do not take advantage of this and make sure that she is safe during the day, afternoon and evening. I cannot ask for anything more than for my family to be safe and healthy. I have heard of many experiences where patients like her are taken advantage of and money is stolen or other things come up missing or suspicious. I am thankful for the employees at this facility and the way they take care of their patients. "

"The Villages at Historic Silvercrest is very nice and very clean. My husband has a very beautiful condo. In comparison to other communities, this one is less expensive. They have regular meals and they have good cooking. They have a very good, caring staff. It has been a nice experience. They do have some activities, but he doesn't participate in them. There seems to be painting, crafts, and trips."

"Marcie and her staff are not only professional but also loving kind and very compassionate. My father in law was cared for here and we liked everything about this facility. Whenever we need a place for my mother or any other family member will try to get them admitted here first."

"Masonic Home of Louisville was a 5-acre campus with assisted living and independent living in separate buildings connected on a road. The buildings were awesome. They had apartments with a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and living room. However, there was nothing provided, except for a little bus to take them around the neighborhood, to the snack bar area, a gym, or public library. The staff member was great, but knew it was not for my mother, and I appreciated that."

"I was very impressed with Dominion Senior Living at Northfield. We had an in-person meeting at their cafeteria because of COVID, but they put on a very good presentation. I'm very impressed with their staff. I thought that the facility was very nice and very organized, and the staff was very friendly. One staff even walked out and introduced himself to us while we were there, which I think was over and above. I think it's a very caring community, and it seemed like a pretty good fit if my dad would have fit in with their level of care. The staff was very knowledgeable and very helpful."

"It was all bedrooms, for the most part. We were impressed with them because it seemed like they were more guest-compatible. Like if we had somebody come in, they had room for us to entertain people in. I like a lot of things about it. The apartments were roomier. Most of them (or all of them), were 2-bedrooms, and several of them had 2-baths as well. The rooms were small, of course, but that's to be expected in a place like that. They had several common areas that you could actually reserve for you to entertain (like if I wanted to have a men's group from church come in, I could reserve a space for that). If we wanted to have a family get together, there was a place we could do that. So I was pretty impressed with that. The staff was very helpful. I only met with the person that took me around. She answered all my questions and was helpful."
