My dad was at Lincoln Hills of New Albany. We thought he got really good care while he was in there. The facility was a little older, but it had been remodeled. It wasn't the nicest facility in the area, but it was decent, and we felt the care was really good. The only thing he didn't like about it was he thought the food was horrible. We took him in some food, and. He wasn't eating much anyway, but he said the food was not very good. The room was nice. It was a good size. It wasn't fancy, but my dad never complained about it. It was a private room, and it had a bathroom. It was adequate. It wasn't beautiful by any stretch of the imagination, but it was good. The only amenity we saw was the dining room area, and it was good. It was nice and kept clean. Everything was kept very clean, but we never used that dining room or anything like that because we never got out of the room except to go to rehab. The staff members were very friendly. We were in there a lot. I was in there every day, and my sister and brother were in there quite a bit. Everybody was very friendly and seemed to be concerned about him and everything.

My mother was not fed or given wanted her first night staying in Lincoln HIlls. Being discharged from the hospital, my mother needed care and the plan was to rehab and move back home. Instead this facility gave her drugs that put her to sleep almost continuously for 4 days. When we questioned it, the staff stated she was only there for comfort. We asked to send her to the hospital immediately and the staff said only the Doctor could admit her, which we found out wasn't true. Two days late the house Doctor admitted her and my mother was admitted into ICU within 24 hours and passed away 3 days later. There is no doubt my mother would still be here if it wasn't for the lack of care provided by the facility. No wonder their reviews online and from Medicare are below average. BEWARE!!

Neglectful. My mom just died two days ago and she was in Lincoln Hills for two weeks. Was about to go home and they let her vomit overnight and never checked in on her. The vomit was described as Coffee Ground Emesis or Coffee Ground Vomit. She was rushed to the hospital and they found that she had Eroded Esophagus and Gastritis. When I spoke to the representative from Lincoln Hills and told them they had left my mother to vomit and entire night and only checked on her in the morning when they discovered her vomiting, the person said, "Sorry about that." Yeah, DO NOT put your loved ones here. My mom was sent to a different facility for Hospice, and they took such great care of her. They treated her like a human being. Lincoln Hills is understaffed. My daughter walked in, waited for someone at the front desk, decided to just go to her grandmother's room, drop off water, and walked out of the building and no one knew. NEVER, EVER put your loved ones in this place.

The facility is extremely clean, the employees are very polite and kind to their patients, they encourage the patients to be kind to each other. I was aware of these items while visiting one of their patients for several months. I can rate the staff and facilities but I never ate there but I also did not hear any complaints about the food.

Lincoln Hills of New Albany is terrible. The services are mediocre. Mom will put her nurse light on and it will be several minutes before they come in and do what she wants. She hates the food. They do not get to pick what they are going to eat. They just bring them whatever and a lot of times she doesn't like what she gets. She doesn't go to activities and they don't have enough staff members to take her outside, which she likes to do. They told us that they were going to improve the looks of the facility inside. It has wallpaper that's been there since 1974 and the floor is so uneven. When I walk on it, I feel like I'm going to fall. Nothing's attractive at all there.

This place was top notch until the new owners bought it January 2018. They have 1 nurse and 1 aid for 25 skilled people. If you want to see the short staff problems go into Lincoln Hills after the front office is gone after 5 not that the front office helps but they make it look better then what it is they will tell you anything to get more people.
