"Everything about it is perfect. It's immaculate. It's pretty. It's welcoming, clean, and fresh. My mom and I both can't say enough good things about it. The staff is amazing. They are more than I could have hoped for. Everybody knows mom by her name. They know her issues and her likes or dislikes. They are very personable and very engaging. There are tons of activities every day and they encourage her to attend multiple times a day. There's a lot of variety that keeps them interested and engaged. The food is very fresh. They have gourmet chefs on site all day, every day. The residents have meetings with the chefs to say what they like, what they don't like, and what they would like to see more of. The chefs come out and talk to them during meal time so the chef and dining room staff get to know them. They have live music every night. They have people come in and play the guitar or the piano. They have happy hour every evening where they can have alcohol if they want. They have arts and crafts and what they called "a walk down memory lane" where they play old music or look at old pictures. They have fitness instructors come in and lead seated workouts. They go on outings for treats, snacks, shopping, or to the botanical gardens. They bring llamas to the facility and have therapy dog visits weekly. They have just anything you can think of."

"My mother is currently staying at Belmont Village St. Matthews. We chose it because of my father, but he passed away. It's good for a couple, or for a single person with dementia, and they have an award-winning memory care program. The room is gorgeous, it's a two-bedroom apartment with its own bathroom, and there's a small kitchenette. Some of the staff members are fantastic, but they had a hard time keeping theur staff. The service wasn't always good, and the food was sometimes bland, but they provided three meals a day, which was nice."

"We went to BeeHive Homes of Louisville/Lyndon. They take memory care people, but they were not labeled as such, and that might be what was going on. Most facilities have a doorbell that you have to ring, and then somebody comes and unlocks the door to let you in, but with this one, you can just walk through the door. They said there was an alarm bell that would go off, and they said they knew I was coming in as I went in the door, but I didn't hear the alarm, and that kind of made me a little leery that perhaps it might be easy for my brother to get out if he decided to start wandering around. Other than that, it was a marvelous facility. The people there were very friendly. They seemed to be very caring. The whole facility was run like it was a family home. Everybody seemed to be extremely amenable to doing whatever needed to be done to take care of my brother. So that place was fantastic. The facility's maintenance was fine. I didn't see anything wrong with it at all. I like it really well, but the only thing that bothered me is the security."

"My husband has moved into Creekside on Whipps Mill. I've been very pleased. They go out of their way to do whatever is needed and the staff is very helpful. My husband has been very well pleased with it. The place is very clean, and the staff has just been very helpful. As for activities, my husband made a wreath for his door, and they do games and things like that."

"I toured Traditions at Beaumont. I thought it was OK, but we were not very impressed. It seemed more like a business. The people didn't seem as caring as the others we visited. The building was really pretty. Everything was nice. There was a courtyard that was secured. The staff who gave me the tour was extremely nice. You had to bring your own furniture and appliances into the rooms."

"The facility is smaller and older, but I felt very good about it. The staff that I've spoken to have been wonderful. I'm looking ideally for 2-bedrooms and the size of the ones I saw here were good. In addition to the meals, they have a bistro where you could buy meals at other times if you wanted them. They have the theater, and an exercise room, and they have a courtyard with really nice walking paths. They have walk-in closets and a washer-and-dryer in every apartment. They have a dog park if people want to walk and have an animal they want to walk. They also have 24-hour emergency response and the staff was very informative. I would live there, even though it was an older facility, that wouldn't bother me because there was a good deal about it."

"My visit with Sunrise of Louisville was excellent. The atmosphere was wonderful, and we liked it immensely. The staff was very friendly and very attentive. The rooms were OK, and the dining area looked nice. It looked like there were a lot of activities. They had a live-in dog, walking trails, TV viewing room, and a small gym or exercise room."

"It was nice. They’re very nice there. My dad stayed there for almost a year. The room was a nice little apartment with a bathroom, a walk-in shower, a refrigerator, and a sink like a kitchenette, which he didn’t know it was there. He has Alzheimer’s. It’s nice, but you have to put your own furniture in there. "

"I chose to put my dad in Magnolia Springs East. What struck me as the most important factor was the caring staff. I watched as some of the staff interacted with the residents there, and it seemed to be a very comfortable relationship between the residents and the staff, so that's primarily why we chose that one, in addition to the location. I believe they have everything that you could possibly ask for, like a workout room, a whirlpool spa, a sauna, a calendar full of activities every day, a chapel, a library, a room that looks like a '50s diner, a balcony, and inside and outside seating. I chose Magnolia Springs based on room size, location, and resident interaction. "

"I looked here and what stood out about the place is it’s cleanliness and neatness. There was no odor. The lady who took me on a tour was a wonderful person. The apartment that I looked at was roomy. It had a balcony that you can sit out and enjoy the outdoors. It was very neat, clean, and freshly painted. The carpet was clean. It is a lovely place to live. "

"I toured Vivera Senior Living. The people at the reception desk were kind, professional, and courteous. The facility was nice and clean. The residents looked like they were treated very well. They seemed happy because when I went into the residence they were speaking, and asked if we were going to move in. I looked at the studio apartment. It has enough room for one person to live, yet is spacious enough for them to get around. The closet space and the bathrooms were big. The countertop, the kitchen sink, the little refrigerator, and the microwave were just right, and that's what made me fall in love with the place. It was a very good studio, and just right to meet my brother's needs."
