"Celebration Villa of Highland Crossing is an older place, but they keep it up. It is not real large, so I liked that. It's located in a more rural setting. It's kind of down in a valley, and it has trees around it. You can get out and walk around. They were very friendly. I liked the place. It was comfortable. It's not real fancy. It's reasonable. The manager of the place is Jim, and he has been there for years and years. He is just top-notch. The workers seem to be friendly as well."

"Covington Ladies Home is small and personalized. It's been a lady's home for 125 years. It's a big old mansion, but it's very well kept and updated. It's beautiful and they keep it very clean. The staff is very caring and that's the most important thing. My mom has been there for almost five weeks now. She loves the food. The staff everyone I've dealt with is very friendly and on top of things. They call me for every little thing. The only drawback for a 125-year old building is there are no individual toilets in each room. There are sinks, vanity mirror, but you have to go two doors down for a toilet and shower. I thought that doesn't really bother her or me much. But it would be great if they could get modernized and put in bathrooms in each room. "

"I liked that the rooms at Ohio Living Llanfair were very light, bright, and a good size. The staff we met was very good. They were just a lot more expensive and a little older and dated, but it was still very nice and very clean. They had very pretty grounds outside and plenty of activities such as bingo and happy hour. The dining area was also very nice."

"Stay away from this facility! Staff is lazy, untrained and uncaring. Residents hygiene is not attended to, laundry is rarely done and any request is ignored. Staff is not responsive and is full of excuses. I am very frustrated with this facility."

"This would have been the one we chose to send my father to. It had more of an open feel for the place. They have higher ceilings and bright rooms. We just walked in and talked to them and did the tour. They had certain nights where they did an open bar deal and it was just like a coffee thing they had with Starbucks. They also said they did cooking classes, which we thought our dad would like more than crafting. In their theater room, they did a lot of history shows and they'd have people come in and do educational stuff on history and all that. Then they had a little courtyard that had a little putting green. They showed us a one-bedroom with a full fridge instead of a mini fridge."

"I was impressed with everything at Northgate Park. They had a few problems before, but they worked them out. I wouldn't have booked a room there if they were not doing as good a job. They had good-sized rooms, I know that as I was trying to lay out what furniture to put there. In fact, I may go there someday. The staff that I talked to were very good, when they found out that my ex-wife had passed, they gave me a rebate of what I had paid. That says something very strong for me that they were fair. We had a walk around the place and I ran into a couple of people with their masks on and said hello. One of the things that's really great about this community is that it's a 1-floor place, and the hallways have skylights every 20 feet so there's natural light coming into the hallway. And the dining room also has skylights so there's also natural light coming in there. In other places, the hallways are dark and dank unlike here with natural coming in which is cool. They have pretty good staff. They can't compete with some of the other places, but their prices I thought were terrific for what you're getting."

"Brookdale Place at Finneytown was lovely, but way too expensive. I really didn't have a lot of time/experience with the place. "

"My husband is admitted to Optimized Senior Living Newtown. It's small. It only has 8 to 10 people, so that makes for better care, and I feel comfortable with that. It's in a home setting. It's not like a nursing home. The staff is excellent. My husband eats everything. They serve home-cooked meals. They played bingo and they had an Olympic day. So, I think their activities are good."

"We visited Deer Park Assisted Living. We enjoyed it. It was a nice visit. The staff was very nice, friendly, and organized. It seemed like a very nice place. The tour went through the entire location. We viewed several rooms, and we walked to the community outside. It was a nice, thorough view of the entire area. Their staffing is one of the strong points I like about them. From the time that we walked in up to the time we walked out, they were very nice. We called back afterwards to ask a couple of questions, and we got some good service. Another reason why we liked it is that they were in the process of upgrading the flooring and trying to make it a very nice place."

"My mother has moved into The Village at Eastgate assisted living. They have been very nice and very helpful. My mom is very happy there right now, and she loves her apartment and the facility. The rooms are very spacious and very clean. The setup is perfect for someone in a wheelchair. My mom is very happy with the whole apartment. She has a 1-bedroom and the activities are very good too. She enjoys going down and playing bingo 3 times a week and doing crafts."

"Brookdale was excellent. It had a homey atmosphere for the residents and was smaller, and so there were more interactions between staff and residents. They had activities, like mental engagement games, religious ceremonies, and bingo. The menu was varied with a lot of options, and the kitchen was very clean. The rooms were adequate and comfortable."

"We toured Brookdale Kenwood and I like the overall cleanliness. It was pretty good. The staff was helpful there. The lady was good about being honest and answering a lot of questions, then providing information that we wouldn't even think to ask. So, she did a good job in informing us about something that we had no knowledge of. The facility was well-kept."

"We are having a great experience in this memory care. My mother is so happy here . I never knew this side of her. Mom is so social now she tells me she doesn't want to go home to visit's with me. The staff are wonderful they make it look so easy. I know how hard it is though, and appreciate their dedication to making things easier for our family."
