My mother is at Harmony at Anderson Assisted Living. It is very clean. The layout is wonderful. It is very well-maintained and taken care of. The staff is friendly. The room is big. I have no complaints about it. She enjoys her room. They offer her a lot of activities, but she's unable to do them because of her blood pressure. She more or less has to be in her bed. There are a lot of activities to do. If you would move in there, you wouldn't be bored. There is always something. The other day they had flower arranging in the dining area, which I thought really looked nice for St Patrick's Day. One of the dance academies came in and danced for St Patrick's Day. I even had dinner with my mother one evening, and it was nice. You tell them what you want, and there is a selection to choose from. It took a while for them to prepare it and bring it to the table, but it was nice. We met some new friendly residents that already lived there. It was a very enjoyable time when I was there.

I toured Harmony at Anderson. There are no decorations. It wasn't warm and inviting. The rooms aren't horrible. They're okay.

My overall tour experience of Harmony at Anderson was good. It was a nice place. The woman that gave me the tour was very nice. She answered a lot of questions. However, when I went into memory care, the people that work there didn't interact with me. They didn't say hi or even speak at all. So that was my only hesitation a little bit there. They just looked at us and went on. However, the staff that gave me the tour was very nice, very knowledgeable, and very accommodating. The rooms were very nice. It's a relatively new building. Everything seemed to be in good working order. They had an outdoor area specifically for memory care. It was very nice, and it was fenced-in. They had raised garden beds where the tenants could work in the garden, plant, and do things like that, which I think was very nice. They had a good-sized activity room. The layout was a little weird to me, but the upkeep was nice.

My aunt and uncle have been in Harmony at Anderson for around a year next month. The facility is brand new. It's a very nice facility and there are no problems there. They've just been going through staffing issues and they're on, I believe right now she's the second or third director there and they've been through multiple chefs for the kitchen. It's just been staffing issues and things and growing pains with a new facility. I'm hoping that's all it is, hoping they're going to work themselves out of it. They've got some activities and things They've got bingo and a few other activities. But that's not even up to total speed yet and everything. They've had a few different activity directors there as well, so nothing is really up to speed where it should be. They've got a two-bedroom apartment. The food has been another issue because they had multiple chefs there. It boils down to getting the right people in place and then having consistency. The employees have been great, all the ones that I've interacted with and everything.

We did a tour of Harmony at Anderson. If my mother's health deteriorated and she needed more help, it's available there. If she had to go short of full nursing or full memory care, it could handle anything short of that. So, she wouldn't have to move to get up there. It's equipped much more for people that are physically and mentally handicapped. The layout of the apartment, for someone that was confined to a wheelchair, or a walker was fantastic. These things were designed so you could roll up underneath them. The cupboards were positioned lower. If I remember right, every doorway, everything you had to pass through was extra wide. It's like somebody laid it out to use a wheelchair in it. If only my mom didn't have friends and is already established at her current place. There's nothing bad you could say about this facility, it's very, very nice. The staff was very good. We did not eat there, so I don't know anything about the meals other than what they told us; how it was prepared, and how they dealt with delivery and stuff. They're a little bit more trying to get people to come to the dining room, so they eat in a social environment, but they do have it where they deliver it to your room. The dining facility is beautiful. It's brand new, shiny, and well laid out. The hallways don't have any dents. It's all laminate flooring and stuff. It's very, very nice.
