"We toured the independent living community of The Summit of Blue Ash, and our experience was good. They were nice and informative. The rooms are a little smaller than we expected, and we didn't like that it was too much of a hotel atmosphere for us. Other than that, the facility was clean, and the person who gave the tour was very good. We liked everything about it except the rooms. They had everything you could want. They had a pool, a game room, an exercise room, and an outside patio. It was all good. It's probably worth the money, but it's just a little higher than we can afford."

"Stay away from this facility! Staff is lazy, untrained and uncaring. Residents hygiene is not attended to, laundry is rarely done and any request is ignored. Staff is not responsive and is full of excuses. I am very frustrated with this facility."

"I liked The Wellington at North Bend Crossing. We intended to go there. But when my mom broke her leg, they said she wouldn't be eligible to go there because she couldn't get up and walk or pivot. So, we kind of put that on the backburner there. We toured everything. We're talking about putting my mom in assisted living and my dad in the memory care at first. Everything seemed to be fine and they had activities for the seniors and would provide transportation for doctor's visits. My mom's doctor is just over the hill from there where she goes. They have bingo and activities for the seniors. The rooms seemed to be pretty good. The one-bedroom that I looked at seemed to be a little bit smaller than the other ones that I looked at. I've got to get them both in the same room if I can. It seemed like everything was well kept, for the age of the place. It's not that old, but I mean, it's probably 10, 15 years old, maybe a little older than that, but everything seemed to be fine, as far as maintenance goes. I've always had a good rapport with the staff. I followed up with them probably about four or five times in the last eight months."

"My brother is staying at Blue Rock Senior Living. There are very few residents there. My brother said the food is just tolerable. He says sometimes it's not that good, but he gets plenty of food. The room is very small, but he's making the best of it. I think they keep it very clean. The TV system that they have is Roku, so my brother cannot watch any Reds or Bengals games on his TV, and that's probably the biggest improvement they could make. There's one lady there who's been very helpful to him. She helped him set up his computer and other things. They do my brother's laundry once a week. They clean his room once a week. They have a stairlift, but it's very slow. Their courtyard and patio are very good. They have a very small library, so my brother goes to the public library."

"We chose Mallard Cove Senior Living for my mother because it's very nice and convenient. Everyone seemed happy when we visited. The staff was very nice and competent, willing to help me with anything, and it will be an easy transition. The food was good and the dining room was pretty. They had an outdoor eating area, a theater, exercise facility, a happy hour every night, church services, and field trips."

"Best community around hands down! The food is delicious, the residents are friendly, and the staff is like family. I have lived here for 6 years."

"Overall, my tour at Sonesta Apartment Homes was excellent. I was looking for an independent living place for my uncle, and the person who gave the tour was very nice and very helpful in explaining things to me. I didn't really get to see too many of the residents. I'm not sure if they weren't there for the day or not, but she explained to me how people did get-togethers in the club room, have coffee, play cards, and communicate with each other. She was very pleasant and answered any questions that I had. The apartment shown to me was nice, well-kept, and just looked brand new. They didn't have a dining area or a place where I could sample food, but I know that the apartment had a nice little kitchen where there was a full-size stove, refrigerator, and microwave. She also explained that it is fully furnished, including dishes, pots, and pans, so basically all my uncle has to do is just move his clothes and any other knick-knacks he might have. I didn't take a look at their gym, but there was also a pool there. I know my uncle's not going to go to the gym, so there was no point in looking at it. The patio was a little small, but it's not like he needed a big patio. They have a little table and chair, if he wants to go outside and eat breakfast or just enjoy the sunshine."

"I really like the vibe of Northgate Park. It's a young community. Even though my mother is in her 90's, she doesn't want to live in a nursing home with a lot of old people, so I think she'd like this facility. I saw a 1-bedroom and a 2-bedroom and I think she'd beat up the walls and corners with her wheelchair. They have chair yoga, jigsaw puzzles, mass, and they have rosaries everyday. They also have three meals every day to help my mom get out of the room. They have a beauty shop and pharmacy available, they can take care of her meds, help her in and out of the shower, and even provide nursing care should she need in."

"My sister is in Silverfern Cincinnati North. We chose it because it had everything included, so that's utilities, cable TV, and internet access. She got two meals a day included too. It encompasses all of her normal expenses. It's fairly new for us, but we're pretty happy there. The size of the rooms is fine. It's a very nice facility. They have a nice dining room, a nice lobby area, and an indoor pool. All of it is well maintained. They have a workout room, a movie room where they do movie nights, and a pottery room where people can go and paint pottery and do art. They also have a general art room and a game room where they have the typical card games and dominoes and that kind of stuff. They have a nice outdoor enclosed area where they have a fire pit, some chairs, and covered picnic tables and stuff. You can go outside that, and there is also a walking trail around it. It's open for pets. My sister likes dogs, so she can go out there and sit and have the dogs come up to her. So, it's nice for her to have some exposure without having to have her own pet that she has to take care of. The staff members have been so far very helpful. Their maintenance guys came in and helped us get stuff set up. One of the maintenance guys fixed her walker. The staff that does the program seems very nice. The dining staff is good. My sister likes the folks there. I haven't heard her say anything negative about anyone there. It's always been pretty positive. They have art classes, exercise classes, big ball yoga and stuff like that. They have popcorn on movie nights. They have party things where they go outside and enjoy the great outdoors. They have a virtual reality room where you can go and play video games. They have a small library, but it's not like a public library with hundreds and hundreds of books."

"My husband is in here and they've been excellent. Everything they had to offer was very good. The facility is a little far away from my house, and they have a bus that will bring my husband to my home because I am recovering from a heart attack and I cannot drive. They'll take them to the doctor as well. For me, that was a blessing. The place is beautiful. They care about their people and the residents. They have a huge picture window. Outside of that is a birdfeeder, and the residents can sit and watch the birds coming and going. That area is always filled with the residents sitting there and enjoying. The food is arranged so fancy, and it is delicious. My husband does not want to participate with activities, but they are making extreme effort to encourage him to join in. They also have church services with church pews, which I have not seen in any facility. It gives them the church atmosphere. Their place is on 12 acres, and they have walking paths with gazebos and rocking chairs on their front porch. "

"It was very nice. The staff was very good, very uplifting, very helpful, and accommodating. I had a very good experience working with them. The environment was light and cheerful. The residents were very pleasant, and it looked like they were enjoying their stay there."

"My aunt is now at Eastgate Village. It is a nice facility. It is attractive. They provide quite a few services. You can have little care or as much care as you need. They have on-site physical therapy, and doctors would come to your room. They have generous-sized rooms. The staff is friendly. Food is fairly good. Overall, I would recommend this place. "

"I had an in-person tour of Celebration Villa of Summit Hills. I liked that it had nice views. The windows were very large. The rooms were very light and airy. The person who gave us the tour was very interested in our situation and in making sure that it was a good fit for us. He was very kind, showed us quite a few options, and let us take pictures. It was great. I liked him a lot. They have kitchenettes that would allow our mom to make meals or snacks as she wanted. However, it supplies three meals per day with options, so it would be like ordering off of a menu. I also like that they pick up the trash every day. The rooms are cleaned, and the linens are refreshed every week. They offer a laundry service every week for a small fee, or my mom could do her own laundry just on the same floor as her room."

"We chose the Waterford at Fairfield for my mother mostly because of location and the price. They have Wii games and crafts, and she has done all that. They serve 2 meals a day -- lunch and dinner. The staff is very helpful and very nice. We visit her a lot, so we have taken her to different places, but they do have a shuttle. They have laundry services, housekeeping, and everything else that she needs. "
