"The Summit of Blue Ash is a very good community. We toured their assisted living community. They have all kinds of activities for senior citizens, and the rooms are very beautiful to live in. They have good staff there, and they work with the seniors really well. They take you out on field trips, or if you have to go to Walmart or someplace like that, they take you out like that, too. The lady who gave the tour was sweet and very nice. We sampled the food, and it looked really good. The atmosphere was really awesome, and the facility was very clean. It's an excellent place to be. I wish we could have afforded it."

"Deerfield Springs Retirement Community is a very nice facility. Everyone there is all independent. They've got a lot of interesting features that I didn't know about in the other retirement communities. The guy took me on a tour of the whole place, all the different rooms, like the exercise room, arts and crafts room, card tables, and theater. You name it, they've got it. I was overwhelmed, plus it's a very new facility. He showed me a couple of the one-bedrooms and also three-bedrooms. The only drawback I saw was they have a waiting list for two-bedrooms.The one-bedroom and the three-bedroom are currently available. It was immaculate, very modern, and very clean. All of the interior was beautiful. It was almost something I would see in Las Vegas. It's a resort style. People can come and go as they please when they want, but the nice feature that I thought was you can stay there month-to-month. There's no contract, and there's no entrance fee."

"We toured Traditions of Deerfield. The person who took us through was very pleasant, and it's a very nice environment. Everything seems to be very congenial. It was nice, neat, and clean, and the whole nine yards. The rooms are nice size. We looked at a one-bedroom. I guess you call it an apartment, a living room, and a bedroom. They have a place where they have happy hours. The dining room was nice. They have a library and a nice courtyard. They have a menu, and whatever we saw looked like it would be good. It was a nice variety of choices and whatever."

"I visited the Silverfern Cincinnati North's independent living community. I liked the one-bedroom apartment. It was beautiful, with a living room, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. It has its own washer and dryer for doing your laundry. It also had a dishwasher in the kitchen, so you don't have to wash dishes. When you first walked in the door, they had a beautiful fish aquarium, which was just so wonderful. I haven't seen an aquarium like that, and it's nice. They had two pools, and they had an area where you could sit in, like you're at a theater and watching TV. They had a place to do pottery and a place to do painting. They even have a place to get your hair done, and so many other things. It was really just wonderful. There's a place outside where you could grill, and they are building a little place to play golf. The staff is great. I saw a lot of people who work here, and they're all over the place. The guy who had us come in was great. He took me to see the whole place, and it was just wonderful."

"My husband and I have been living in Evergreen Retirement Community's independent living for about close to a year now. It's great, we have our apartment, we go to the dining room for our evening meal, and we have no complaints at all. We don't have anything to do with the staff, except in the dining room and that's fine. The cleanliness and upkeep are excellent. We have our evening meal in the dining room every day and the food is excellent. We're independent and so we have our own activities that we do. Our apartment has a full kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a large living and dining area, and it's just perfect."

"I liked Mallard Cove, it had a lot to offer, and I talked to the staff several times over the phone after the tour. The area was so-so but acceptable. You got your meals, they did your housekeeping, and they even get your laundry. The rooms seemed really nice. "

"I visited Sonesta Apartment Homes, and I will be moving to their independent living community. I like the atmosphere, and the people were very friendly. The buildings were very nice, and it's a nice central location. The apartment is excellent. They have a laundry facility and ample parking spaces. They also provide meals."

"My dad moved in and I would highly recommend this facility. They have different activities. My dad can go downstairs and eat in the kitchen hall. When it's warmer, they can go outside and eat. He can cook in his apartment if he wants. It is a nice place. The people there are nice. The staff members are nice. The lady that I talked to and the guy that we signed the last paper with were very, very helpful. I imagine the food is good because my dad ate it. The facility is homely and comfortable. The senior citizens that already lived there were nice and talked to my dad here and there. They have different activities. They post them on the door of their apartments every morning for new activities every day. My dad's got a kitchen, a refrigerator, and a stove. There are also trails outside."

"Ohio Living Llanfair was extremely nice but not upscale. The people were very helpful and gave me every bit of information that I needed. It's a place that you have to apply to because if you have too much money, they won't take you. It’s a very structured place that offered all the facilities that I felt were necessary for the long-term for my parents. They had a one-bedroom and studio, three meals a day and buffets for lunch; dinner and breakfast were ordered off of a menu. The apartments were nice but small. The cost including the assistance was a better value. It wasn't as nice and fancy of a place, but it had everything I felt my parents needed to live out their lives. They had people on staff 24 hours a day for any type of assistance that any of the residents need."

"My top facility out of six that I visited for my friend was called The Barrington. This place was excellent. I would definitely go there if I needed to. I think it was the friendliest one I visited. The tour was great. The apartments were nice and big. It was just a very pleasant place to be in. They have lots of activities, bus trips, and games. In terms of living environment, I like the places they lived in. I love the dining room, which had waitress service there. They had a cocktail hour and a coffee morning. They had everything. "

"My mother-in-law was a resident of Christian Village at Mt. Healthy. It was very nice. She was well taken care of, and she enjoyed the place. She first went for assisted living, and she had Alzheimer's, so she wound up in memory care at the end. Her room was nice, and the upkeep was also very nice. It was kept up well. The dining area looked fine, and the parking area is adequate."

"My experience with Celebration Villa of Summit Hills has been very good. I've been here the longest, and I prefer to stay because they're very helpful. It's nice and clean. You have three meals a day that are good. So, I'm very pleased with it. The staff is excellent. They're right there for you and they're always friendly. We have three meals a day. We have menus at the tables when we go. We have a very nice dining room and the food is very good. There is a library, an activity room, an exercise room, a beauty shop, and a nurse. So, there's everything available for you. They'll have bingo or games and I think, today, they're having a trip to some log cabin in the area. They always have activities going on that you can participate in. They give you the time. They put a sheet out every day. So it's very, very convenient. The food is always good. Sometimes it's not prepared as what we would do at home, but it's nursing home food so it's good for you. They're here daily to clean your room. If you need them, they'll make your bed for you and do anything you ask. I just had a cleaning lady leave just a few minutes ago. They're here every day to pick up or clean or if something's broken, you need a work order and they're there the same day to fix it. It's very expensive, but they all are."
