"My brother is staying at Blue Rock Senior Living. There are very few residents there. My brother said the food is just tolerable. He says sometimes it's not that good, but he gets plenty of food. The room is very small, but he's making the best of it. I think they keep it very clean. The TV system that they have is Roku, so my brother cannot watch any Reds or Bengals games on his TV, and that's probably the biggest improvement they could make. There's one lady there who's been very helpful to him. She helped him set up his computer and other things. They do my brother's laundry once a week. They clean his room once a week. They have a stairlift, but it's very slow. Their courtyard and patio are very good. They have a very small library, so my brother goes to the public library."

"Stay away from this facility! Staff is lazy, untrained and uncaring. Residents hygiene is not attended to, laundry is rarely done and any request is ignored. Staff is not responsive and is full of excuses. I am very frustrated with this facility."

"Atria Northgate Park was a beautiful facility. I would have put my parents there in a minute, but it wasn’t the right layout nor the right size for them since they did not have a two-bedroom. They had activities throughout the day and the week. They had a beauty salon and a post office. They made sure that the residents got out with transportation to the grocery store, doctor, and shopping centers. They had a really nice dining room and a nice living arrangement, so if people wanted to be out of their room, they had sitting rooms that looked homey throughout the facility. All the rooms were laid out very nicely. They had options for layout so you could choose a studio or a suite or a deluxe suite. They all had patios. All of the apartments were on the main level, so there were no stairs. They had very wide hallways, so there’s no problem using a scooter or a walker to get around. The staff I met was very nice. The community was nicely maintained and had nice amenities. It was almost like a small city under a roof. "

"We went to StoryPoint Cincinnati. It's beautiful. I love it. They're very good at showing us everything that goes on. As the residents would pass, Tricia would say hi to every one of them. We looked at a one-bedroom and it was very clean, very bright, and very decent-sized. They also allow pets there. They have a small refrigerator and a microwave in the room. As far as your furniture, you bring your own furniture. They also supply three meals a day. The staff who gave the tour was very knowledgeable, very friendly, and very informative. She has even called me to ask how everything was going. I didn't try the food, but it smelled good in there. The building was very clean and very friendly. They have lots of rooms for gatherings. They even have a little store in there. There's a restaurant-type setting with lots of tables where you can socialize and meet people. It was very nice."

"We were unable to go into the memory care area of Traditions at Camargo. They were a little bit more strict about that, so we just saw the main lobby and went into a private office. We saw the lobby and one of the communal dining areas. Because of COVID, they're limiting the amount of areas that you can see, and so we weren't able to tour the full facility. We just met with one of the people there. They were helpful. The facility is brand new, so everything is very nice. The amenities were pretty much the same as all the other places that we have looked at. It was comparable to anything we would compare it to."

"For us, the Village at Eastgate is a small community. The rooms were the largest of all three places I checked. We're just checking studio apartments, and the Village at Eastgate's studios were the largest. The people were wonderful. The facilities are very nice. There's a lot of greenery there. There's an air of homeliness about it. It is individually owned. We met the owners and it's a family. The mother owns it, her son manages it, and her daughter does the books and that sort of thing. They're very welcoming. They have a lot of availability. The dining room is beautiful and looks out into the woods. The price was reasonable compared to everybody else. And so for that reason, Village at Eastgate seems to be the frontrunner at the moment. Everybody was friendly, but the staff who gave the tour was extraordinary. And I thought the facility itself was nicely done. The lobby has been newly renovated. It's clean and airy, and just very nice. And they were the only one of the three that we visited that had a 3-foot x 3-foot area for people to store off-season things, and I thought that was very helpful, too."

"I toured Sonesta Apartment Homes. If you're looking for something that's fully furnished, it's okay. It's good, but I wasn't looking for something that was fully furnished. Then the cost per month was too high. The manager was good, the only one that I ever contacted. She was helpful. The facility was good. It was pretty clean."

"The rooms at Silverfern Cincinnati North are well-constructed. It has the right amount of space in the one bedroom. It's pretty nice and very clean. The lady who gave the tour was great. She listened to me about my needs and where I was at."

"I toured Beehive Homes of Liberty Township. I liked the fact that they were small-scale. I felt like if I'd been there I could have gotten more one-on-one and more personal attention. It was a very clean facility. The staff was very caring. I have no experience with them, but just from what I observed, they seemed nice and caring."

"At The Baptist Village, everybody is very nice and very caring. My parents are in a one bedroom apartment. It has a nice size living room. The bedroom is fairly nice. The kitchen is a little small, but it is fully equipped, and they have a little place for dining. My parents have only been there for 10 days. "

"We chose St. Charles Homestead for my husband, and it was an excellent facility. They have excellent level of care. They have beautiful surroundings. It was well run, and I would highly rate this facility. The rooms were spacious, clean, easily accessible for wheelchair or walker. We liked it a lot. The help was lovely. The food is excellent. "
