"My loved one was at Liberty Nursing Centre of Riverside. They were very conscientious about getting her up so she could walk. The facility was immaculately clean. When we went in, the first thing she said was that they had the most wonderful food. She had a room, and it was shared by another woman, but it was a large room. It was always clean. It had a nice walk-in closet. We thought Liberty Nursing Centre of Riverside was wonderful. They took care of her. It was exceptional. They treated her with respect. She loved it, and we loved it. "

"Emerald Trace on Turkeyfoot was a great facility. It's pricey, but it's very nice, and the staff was professional and caring. For that kind of facility, the food was really good and everybody had a private room there. I liked that place pretty well. I had a small apartment on my own where there's a bedroom, a bath, a shower, and a small kitchenette with a small refrigerator, sink, shelves, and stuff. Overall, it's clean. If there's a problem, they fixed it."

"My dad moved to Rosedale Green. They have caring staff, an easy intake process, and ample activities. Last week they brought in pygmy goats for the residents to interact with. I thought that was kind of clever. So, social kind of interaction type things. The room is clean, reasonable in size, neutral colors but bright sunshine through the window. The food seems balanced and nutritious, but maybe not as tasty as it could be."

"My mother's friend is at Aventura at West Park. I think it's a wonderful place. She is in the nursing home section with rehabilitation. I love it. She is very happy there. It's wide open, it's always clean, and the staff is wonderful. They're very, very pleasant. They always say hi and ask if we need anything, which is very nice. Years ago, you could tell when you were in a nursing home because of the smell, but you didn't notice that at Aventura at West Park. It's very clean and it's kept very nice. I like it. I go there about every couple of weeks or so, and I've never had any problems whatsoever. It's always a very pleasant visit. The staff seems very on the ball. Whenever I see them, they're not walking around and staring at their phones, which I've seen in other places. But they are very diligent. With regards to food, my mother's friend mentioned the food is not always hot when she gets it, but they're grossly understaffed from what I understand. But the ones that are there are very efficient, and I don't see any of them just doing nothing. They're always busy doing chores or whatever it is that they do in the hallways. I think they've got a beautiful staff. There is a place where you can sit outside. There are seats and benches out along the front, which is nice. They have bingo, TVs, and beautiful community rooms. It's pretty, and I think it's a very nice place. "

"We go to Ivy Woods Healthcare Center every week to see a family member. I think that they don't seem to understand dementia there, even though I'm sure they've had many patients with dementia. They didn't seem to know how to handle my relative's agitation. I'm not sure if the staff needed education or what, but most of the staff is great; some are not. The food is pretty good. Their building is just one floor, which is nice. There's no elevator. They just remodeled within this past year so they got new floors. It's pretty clean. They have a small courtyard where people can go out to (that's mostly used by smokers) while all the activities are in the dining room. They also have one small lounge that's mostly used for meetings or visitors (residents don't use it). They have bingo, movies, and different activities, too."

"Nancy is in Mountain Crest Nursing and Rehabilitation. She's been bedridden for over 6 months. It's a 26.8 mile drive from my house, and it's not a very good area. It's close to downtown Cincinnati. It's getting ready to change hands and have new management. It's kind of an old, run-down area. They get around to cleaning up the rooms every once in a while. The food they would bring her up was next to nothing. I will have to run at times when I get her something to eat or get her the yogurt with protein that she needed. I don't think they follow through on the place. I'll go in there and the hallways will be dirty. They'll have food trays laying on the dirty microwave in the lounge, and I'll have to move the dirty, smelly food tray off the top of the microwave in the sitting lounge that they use. There are times she says they would forget about her and come back later on in the evening when she needed medication. I don't think it's top-notch care like a person should have. I do feel a little bit more comfortable in her wound care because of Rick. "

"Roomy and bright, large screen color tv, internet in room/wifi, rooms not curtains separate guests, share a walled bathroom, and share a very large walk in closet for both clothes and personal items Excellent medical care, highly trained nurses, therapists, therapy is great, 3 to 5 days a week, therapy rooms large and bright. Staff are respectful and caring , call me once a week for update. Call me for any changes good or bad. High rating from Medicare. They accept Medicaid and Medicare plus insurance. Good relationships with hospital, which is 14 minutes away. Very kind like being at home with friends"

"I'm so grateful for the loving and patient care my mom has received at Judson. The staff is amazing especially Tamika. They keep me well informed. My mom is so happy there. It's obvious she is well cared for. Mom loves the food. She even got her hair done. I could feel her beam with pride over the phone. My brother and I are thrilled we chose Judson. It's been a wonderful experience thus far. "

"We are relocating my dad to Bridgetown Nursing and Rehabilitation. The first reason we chose was the proximity to where my mom was living. The second reason is they were very personable. It's a small facility, so it's going to be a lot more intimate care. It's less corporate. They were very open about the guests that were living there, like social habits because that was a concern. We want to make sure Dad can make friends when he moved there, and it seems like they do a lot to cultivate some interaction culture there. The receptionist filled us in quite a bit while we were waiting, and then there was an administrator that walked us around and showed us the workout room and the lunchroom and that kind of stuff. She explained how to reserve time for physical therapy and that kind of stuff. They showed us options for rooms. We were originally looking at a semi-private room, so that would have been for two people. And then there's one full bath shared by two people. The room includes a phone and TV, and not all the places that we visited included those. In some places you had to supply your own. It's all-inclusive at this place. They have bingo, happy hour, movie nights, and puzzle stations. A church group comes in, so there will be church services available right there at the facility. The place is very nice like you come in through the front door and there's a garden and the doors open automatically that you can get to, so you don't even need help to get you out there if you want to go sit and read. "
