Aventura at West Park

My mother-in-law was a resident at the assisted living community of Aventura at West Park in Cincinnati. I thought the care was good, and she enjoyed living there, so I have no complaints about it at all. Her room was good and comfortable, and she was satisfied with their food. The dining area was nice and well-kept. It's an older facility, but they've done work on it and kept it up well. They had people come in and play music, they had happy hour, and ice cream socials. They also had religious denominations do different things.

My mother's friend is at Aventura at West Park. I think it's a wonderful place. She is in the nursing home section with rehabilitation. I love it. She is very happy there. It's wide open, it's always clean, and the staff is wonderful. They're very, very pleasant. They always say hi and ask if we need anything, which is very nice. Years ago, you could tell when you were in a nursing home because of the smell, but you didn't notice that at Aventura at West Park. It's very clean and it's kept very nice. I like it. I go there about every couple of weeks or so, and I've never had any problems whatsoever. It's always a very pleasant visit. The staff seems very on the ball. Whenever I see them, they're not walking around and staring at their phones, which I've seen in other places. But they are very diligent. With regards to food, my mother's friend mentioned the food is not always hot when she gets it, but they're grossly understaffed from what I understand. But the ones that are there are very efficient, and I don't see any of them just doing nothing. They're always busy doing chores or whatever it is that they do in the hallways. I think they've got a beautiful staff. There is a place where you can sit outside. There are seats and benches out along the front, which is nice. They have bingo, TVs, and beautiful community rooms. It's pretty, and I think it's a very nice place.
