"My aunt has moved into Ohio Living Llanfair. I was there before she moved in. They have two independent living senior apartment complexes. The apartment is a nice one-bedroom-one-bath. She has a walk-in closet in her apartment complex. It also has a storage bin down the hall. It has a patio, which is what puts them ahead of the other places. It's a nice-sized patio. The staff were friendly and nice. They have bingo and card playing. They have a salon that does your nails and hair. They take them to the bank and grocery stores and other things. They told us that they hook up with another senior facility not far from them, and they do a lot of outdoor activities together. The one thing that I liked about them, when she was signing the contract, they told us that they would assign a mentor for her. So when she moved in, it was one of the residents that live there that walked with her the first week and showed her the facility. She didn't walk down to meals by herself and she didn't walk anything by herself. They actually knocked on the door, talked with her, walked her to places, and went to things together so that she wasn't like the new kid on the block that didn't know anything and nobody. So that was the nice part that they did."

"The amenities here were nice. They have all kinds of activities and they have a kitchen where you can do some of your own cooking if you choose to. The meals are provided and they said if you couldn't make it down to the dining area that they would bring them up to your room, which is good. Everything was great. The apartment had a bedroom that is separate, and then the living room and the dining room were made in the same place, but they were big enough where you can keep them separate. So it was really nice. All the people that we met seemed really nice too, and they were doing their job and everything was OK."

"I like Kenwood by Senior Star. It's a beautiful place. Their grounds are pretty, but limited. This is the place where I hoped to actually have my parents go. They have independent living as well as assisted living. I would say the rooms were very nice. The public facilities were beautiful. The food is fabulous. They have a wonderful restaurant, and it looks very nice. They have been extremely helpful in answering all my questions. "

"The Wellington was a very nice facility, very nice dining area, and a lot of family interaction, but they didn’t have the staff ratio that I like in a memory care. There weren’t a lot of places for my mom to walk; my mom likes to walk. "

"I visited here. The tour was great, they were very informative, answered all my questions, showed me the entire place, and my dad felt comfortable there. The staff was very helpful, they even gave us an apple pie. From the tour it looked like he would have everything he could need in there."

"Evergreen Retirement Community was a large facility. It seemed like everything was very, very nice. I like them. The staff did a great job. The building was very nice and very well set up. I could tell that everybody was part of the team. And they were very friendly and helpful. The room sizes were sufficient. That's one of my top picks if I had to pick one."

"I went to Legacy Living Florence. It was a beautiful facility. It was beyond anything that I had expected. I loved it. I think my parents would love it when they're ready to move in. It's clean and organized. It was just a beautiful area. And, the people were great, too. Overall, it was a great experience visiting. They had a two-bedroom. They're like townhomes, four in a row. And some of them had basements and some of them did not. The only drawback I had with the apartments in the main building was that they had to go down and take their laundry down the hall to the laundry room to do the laundry. They could not have a washer and dryer hookup in their rooms, but in the outer buildings, I guess they call them townhomes, they come with washers and dryers in them. But other than that, it was very nice. I noticed when I was there that they were taking the memory care patients out on a trip, which I thought was pretty neat to see. I just happened to see that they have a lot of memories there. They treat their veterans. They have a veteran wall, that of people that live there and show which branch they're in. When they were in, they had a nice movie theater, game room, and activity center. Overall, it just looked like a very pleasant place to live. They have all the rooms on the inside and walk out to a courtyard. It looks like there's a church there. The chapel is built on the inside of the courtyard, and it lifts me to see that there. I know my parents would love that. It was just a nice place."

"My brother is staying at Blue Rock Senior Living. There are very few residents there. My brother said the food is just tolerable. He says sometimes it's not that good, but he gets plenty of food. The room is very small, but he's making the best of it. I think they keep it very clean. The TV system that they have is Roku, so my brother cannot watch any Reds or Bengals games on his TV, and that's probably the biggest improvement they could make. There's one lady there who's been very helpful to him. She helped him set up his computer and other things. They do my brother's laundry once a week. They clean his room once a week. They have a stairlift, but it's very slow. Their courtyard and patio are very good. They have a very small library, so my brother goes to the public library."

"We were unable to go into the memory care area of Traditions at Camargo. They were a little bit more strict about that, so we just saw the main lobby and went into a private office. We saw the lobby and one of the communal dining areas. Because of COVID, they're limiting the amount of areas that you can see, and so we weren't able to tour the full facility. We just met with one of the people there. They were helpful. The facility is brand new, so everything is very nice. The amenities were pretty much the same as all the other places that we have looked at. It was comparable to anything we would compare it to."

"My husband and I are in StoryPoint Union. Everybody has been extremely nice and attentive to us. We just had an anniversary and they gave us flowers and a cake. They have very good entertainment. I have only been here two months, so I'm not familiar with all of them, but they keep you very busy. My husband and I have two meals a day, lunch and dinner, and it's free. It goes along with our contract. They do transportation within a 15-mile radius and it's very useful. We've used it two or three times already and it is no charge and the person that takes us around is a very nice person. The staff is marvelous. They have some delicious meals, and they have teenage children waiting on us and they are so accommodating that it's a pleasure to eat here. I haven't encountered anyone who is not to our liking. The building is very clean and very accommodating. They have singers that come in. Miss Kentucky was here and she sang and they have a gentleman who works here who has a beautiful voice. They have different games, nickels, bingo, Pokeno, card games, crafts, painting rocks, and movies. You're well taken care of in that field. They have an outside courtyard. I definitely think it's worth it. We feel very comfortable here. We have an apartment and it is quiet. There's no outside noise that will cause you, for instance, not to sleep or something, and it's run very efficiently."

"My relative lives in the independent living section. Overall we're pleased, but concerned about complaints seen on other web sites about under-staffing at MHCV, particularly in the assisted living and nursing care sections. "

"My mom stayed at Northgate Park for a month. I really thought the place was lovely and I thought it was a great place for my mom while she heals, but she did not. I went and looked around the property, the outside of the property is really nicely kept. The way it's set up is that every room has access to the outside, so you don't have to go inside the community to get to any room, you can just go in through the outside. And inside looked fine too, it's not like super modern but it's very clean and very inviting. All the people that we've dealt with were very lovely, it's all very easy and user-friendly."

"The staff has been wonderful, the administration has been wonderful, we are very happy with my parents being at the Courtyard, and they are happy. It is a large bedroom, large living room, and large bathroom, and it is wheelchair accessible, which we really needed. They've got a little patio off their living room, so they can be outside and have their flowers, bird feeders, and what not. I have eaten there, and we've even gone there for brunch on Sundays, and the food is good. They have arts and crafts, Bingo, entertainment probably twice a week that comes in, happy hour, Sunday brunches, Bridge, and Scrabble. "
