Assisted Living Communities in Fairfield, OH

"I toured Beehive Homes of Liberty Township. I liked the fact that they were small-scale. I felt like if I'd been there I could have gotten more one-on-one and more personal attention. It was a very clean facility. The staff was very caring. I have no experience with them, but just from what I observed, they seemed nice and caring."

"We definitely liked our visit in Atria Northgate Park. The lady who gave us the tour was good. We liked the idea that it only has one floor all the way around. My mom really liked that the facility didm't have stairs nor an elevator. The rooms and apartments were fine and of the right sizes. We saw a group of residents playing bingo when we were there. I also looked at their calendar, which had a few things scheduled. We didn't find any issues there, so I would highly rate it. "

"My mom has been in Brookdale Finneytown for a couple of days now, and we really like it. She is adjusting slowly but is getting to like it. They have many activities, like dancing and cards. It’s clean and orderly, and the people are extremely nice. The care is very good. "

"One star for the owner of this place. When my husband was dying a former wonderful caregiver of my husband who my husband and the whole family loved wanted to come visit him but the owner would not allow her into the house! He had held a former disagreement against her and thus prevented my husband from seeing someone who cared about him from seeing him before he died. Remember I am paying money for my husband to live here. Secondly, after my husband came back from the hospital and was going to be under hospice care we found out a new resident had been accepted. This new resident was highly inappropriate for the house. She had serious mental health problems, was constantly shouting obscenities( several times in front of my grandchildren and also to a hospice worker) had a dog that was having accidents all over the house and she was allowed to smoke. All this was going on while my husband was dying. My husbands relatives wondered what kind of place we had my husband in. It was very bad. I would think twice about bringing a loved one here. "

"Woodlands of Hamilton is a great community of nice, senior people of varying ages. The facilities are very well kept, both inside and out, and always have a welcome vibe. The staff are friendly, experienced, and take an interest in the residents well-being. The nurses are also friendly and show concern when dispensing medicines and making rounds. Extra care is taken with confidentiality and security of meds. The food service staff are very courteous, striving to meet the needs and wishes of the residents. The food is well portioned and delicious. I would recommend Woodlands to anyone looking to retire into an assisted living community or to family members needing to place an elder. We are extremely happy to have our family member reside at Woodlands and she is very satisfied with her experience."

"My aunt had a gate pass, so we were able to attend the luncheon at one of their campuses, and they gave us an overview of their places. Evergreen was very nice, clean, and well-kept, and they provided a meal and showed us around the facility. It was very well-maintained, and the food was very good. My mother ate it and enjoyed it. They had various floor plans and models as far as going there. We only visited one. They were full and had a waiting list, but they allowed us to see the assisted living floor plan. The staff was very good, knowledgeable, polite, and friendly. They had a list of activities. "

"Ohio Living Llanfair is clean and there are a lot of amenities. It's probably the best value for what you get and it's one of the nicest facilities I've visited. Their apartment is freshly painted with new carpet, and it's conveniently laid out for somebody who is a little bit mobility impaired. Everybody was very friendly and professional. There's an exercise room, all kinds of art classes, a library, group activities, and outings. As far as independent living goes, there's a lot of flexibility to make some minor add-ons for somebody who's not quite ready for assisted living, but needs a little bit of help now and again. So, it's independent living with a plus."

"I visited the independent living community of The Summit of Blue Ash, and I liked it a lot. It's just that their 1-bedroom with a den is not really a 1-bedroom with a den. It was more of a 1-bedroom with a small corner that you could do something in. It wasn't even a room, but just like a larger closet. My siblings are literally down the road from where the facility is, so it's convenient for all of them. I like that it's centrally located. The facility is brand-new, so it's nice inside. Meals are all included, but they have a full-size kitchen in the rooms. They also have room for a dining room table and a living room area. I would prefer to have their 2-bedroom apartment because I want an office that is also a sewing room, so that's what I need the second bedroom for. If my kids also come, I have a second bed that they can sleep in. Even though the facility provides an apartment-type thing that they could stay in, that's on a first-come, first-served basis, so if somebody else has it reserved at the same time, then one would get it, and one would not."

"The facilities there are great. My grandmother has developed Alzheimers, and had to be put in the home. She seems to be happy there. The staff are always kind and friendly when I go to visit. The bathrooms are kept neat and tidy as well. One thing I like about Cedar Village is that they have activities for the residents. Last weekend, my grandmother participated in karaoke. They also have frequent bingo games. So far I do not have any problems with the Staff or facilities. My only concern is that the residents might wander out of the complex and into the streets, as the gate is always open. The fitness center is great for the younger residents. It is not used that often, but all the equipment is safe and kept in tip-top condition. There are also trainers there to assist the elderly or impaired that might be working out. Their laundry and housekeeping services are good as well; they have same-day pick up and delivery right to your room. Overall, I am very pleased with Cedar Village. "

"My mom has moved into Garden Manor just a week ago. Right now, they could take care of her there whereas the other two places where she was at before basically threw her out. They have rehab, memory care unit, and nursing home. So far, they have been taking care of my mom like they promised. They do have activities. Like the other day, they sat at the table playing volleyball with a balloon. They have a TV room too. There is plenty to do, but my mother is at the point now that she can't remember what's going on. They also provide three meals, they have their own doctor that will come in and see the residents, and they do housekeeping and laundry."

"Brookdale Kenwood was also an excellent facility. It would have been my second choice to put my mother-in-law and father-in-law there, but in the long run, the only reason we didn’t do that was because the other place became open, and they were closer. We did want to get them closer to us, so we could be there in a hurry. I loved the director at Brookdale Kenwood. She was awesome, and the help seemed really nice. It was a beautiful setup all the way around, too. It’s a small-scale place, which is what I like. It almost gave you the feeling you were at a bed and breakfast, which was neat. I know they have a ton of activities as well with a lot of brain workouts for the residents. I spent a lot of time talking with the director, and she took all the time necessary with me. I can’t say enough good things about her. Anybody I did meet was very friendly, very caring, and I do believe they have staff that really cares for their residents. I was very impressed. The biggest thing was the caring staff. I think they go out of their way, from what I heard and witnessed, to provide a wonderful atmosphere for the residents. "

"We were unable to go into the memory care area of Traditions at Camargo. They were a little bit more strict about that, so we just saw the main lobby and went into a private office. We saw the lobby and one of the communal dining areas. Because of COVID, they're limiting the amount of areas that you can see, and so we weren't able to tour the full facility. We just met with one of the people there. They were helpful. The facility is brand new, so everything is very nice. The amenities were pretty much the same as all the other places that we have looked at. It was comparable to anything we would compare it to."

"This is a beautiful facility and although new, it has been steadily improving in the care of my relative who resides there. It has a friendly atmosphere and the administrator and staff is very helpful."
