We went to Boonespring Transitional Care Center. That place was very nice. It was one of our options that we had looked into. My dad never stayed there. At the time when we were looking for care, he did not need that high of a level of care, but had he needed that high a level of care, I think I probably would have chosen them because their facility was great. What I liked most about them was probably the friendliness of the staff and how clean the facility seemed. From what I experienced when I took the tour, everyone that I met was super nice. The residents there seemed like they were well taken care of. I witnessed some of the residents that were there, and it looked like the nurses were helping them and things like that. I was able to see the rooms there, and they seemed clean and spacious. However, the rooms that we were looking at were shared with other residents, and at the time Dad was very against having to share a room with someone.

Roomy and bright, large screen color tv, internet in room/wifi, rooms not curtains separate guests, share a walled bathroom, and share a very large walk in closet for both clothes and personal items Excellent medical care, highly trained nurses, therapists, therapy is great, 3 to 5 days a week, therapy rooms large and bright. Staff are respectful and caring , call me once a week for update. Call me for any changes good or bad. High rating from Medicare. They accept Medicaid and Medicare plus insurance. Good relationships with hospital, which is 14 minutes away. Very kind like being at home with friends

We chose Boonespring of Boone County because my dad was there before for rehab. He spent time there before and the staff was really good. Everything about the place was nice, the care was good, and the rooms were beautiful; it's a newly-built community. It was built around 2016 and it looked like a resort. They have different levels of memory care, there's a dementia ward, an Alzhiemer's ward, and a locked ward. They had a formal dining room, but you can eat in your room if you don't feel like going to the dining room. The food was good, and he enjoyed the food. They also had a couple of chefs who came up to me to talk about special diets or if there was anything the residents would like to eat. The diet was good, the dining was good, and I could eat there for $5. I would come over during my lunch sometimes and sit in the dining room and eat with him. They would take the residents out to the mall, to the theater, and they also had rehab right there for occupational, physical, and speech rehab. My dad said that if he would have to go somewhere, he would go back there.
