"My dad is now in Signature Healthcare of Spencer County. It’s very nice, very bright, and cheerful, and everyone’s very cordial and very friendly. My brother or I will take him to activities, but he doesn’t participate. We just take him to get him out of the room and be with other people. They do bingo, adult coloring books, and there’s church services almost every other day. At night, they have a lot of singing groups that come in, and there’s always something going on. The food is not very good, but he’s not eating much anyway. "

"My Aunt has been in Sunrise approximately 1 year under pallative care. The nursing home has always been clean & the staff I have come to know & observe with my Aunt has been kind & caring toward my Aunt. My Aunt loves them which tells me a lot on how she is cared for. My Aunt is on thickened water & pureed food & she is not able to do activities. The main concern for my Aunt is her creature comforts of keeping her clean & fed as well as some compassionate interaction from those who do so. Thank you Sunrise my Aunt brags on you to me."

"Glen Ridge was nice. The staff, services, amdn rooms were good. The dining room was very pretty, and the food was good. They had activities, but my father was not able to do anything. We were pleased with everything. "

"My sister is in Regency, and has been there for about a month. It’s very nicely designed, it had a very nice layout, and it was located in a very safe, pleasant area. It had nice, wide walls which made it real homey; instead of clinical. The staff was very pleasant, very cheerful, and seemed to relate to the people who were there. There are good activities, the activity leader is a very lovely, and wise person; really engages them. "

"My brother was at Helmwood Healthcare for rehabilitation. He had some physical disabilities that had to be dealt with that we couldn't do at home, so he was there for three months. Helmwood is very nice. It's very clean and homey. They tried to make everyone feel at home. They had a lot of personal touches. The rooms weren't really large, but they were large enough. Everyone who lived there has some of their own furniture and easy chairs and television. If you needed nursing care, they were able to isolate you with some curtains that would pull out. It was just a very nice, updated facility. The staff was very nice, very pleasant, easy to talk to. They seemed to really care, took the time to know every person individually. They really took a lot of interest in my brother. They do in-house activity every day. They have a church, and they go outside of the facility at least once a week. They've gone bowling, and they've just done a lot of different things. The food was pretty good. The best thing, I think, was the personal care and personal attention that they gave. They have an interest in every individual. He was happy there. "

"My aunt is at North Hardin right now and she is doing well there. The people in the facility are outstanding. The place is very clean. I haven’t tried the food myself, but according to her its okay. "

"I visited my mother at this facility twice a week. It was always clean when I visited and my mother was taken care of very well. She was checked every two hours for incontinence issues, she loved the food that was prepared for her, and from what I seen and heard, the staff was very good to her. "

"My grandmother moved into Jeffersontown Rehabilitation. She was in the hospital and needed to go somewhere, and they were very quick to respond and offer me assistance and paperwork to get done. They just made the transition very easy. She's currently still in the rehab room. They're supposed to be moving her, but I'm not sure when they're going to. Right now, she has a single room and when they move her to long-term care, she'll be in a double room. The facility is clean. When it comes to activities, she really can't do anything. They tried with the PT, but she physically wasn't able to do it. They do have different activities, but she's not interested in them, so they're kind of at a loss for her. For the staff, the ones I've dealt with were very nice and knowledgeable."

"My aunt is in Presbyterian Homes Westminster. I only have one concern. When I talked to the social services about her, she was having an issue where they didn't have her sit up for a little while. I'm going to talk to them about that to make sure that the floor nurse manager would take the lead on it to make sure it's done. They had a turnover of nurses in there and the nurses were more from an agency coming in to work. They had some COVID cases there too. I know they're busy, but she assured me that my request would be catered. I investigated it first before we sent her there, they took her as Medicaid pending. The lady there took care of the Medicaid papers. I never got to go into the building, but I talked to my wife on the phone and she's happy there and has no complaints. Everything that she has there is satisfactory. They have activities, but she's not in any shape to participate in them so she watches TV and I bring her books, snacks, and I sent that in there. I dropped off the package and they would deliver it to her room."

"My mom was at Jefferson Manor for over 4 years. The best thing about her care was the Staff. They were caring, loving, attentive. They took a personal interest in mom. They were easy to talk to and always listened to any feedback given my me and my family. In this difficult time for our family, they made it the best for us."
