"My loved one was at Windsor Gardens Bardstown. They were fine. The assisted living side was very nice. They have their own apartment. It's older so it was not as nice and the food wasn't that tasty. They had different music groups come in. They had bingo, painting, and exercises."

"My dad was at Landmark of Bardstown for 20 days. All the staff from when you enter the front door to the ladies who bring in the meals, were very kind and compassionate. His therapy was wonderful. They prepared him to be able to be mobile on the different terrain that he has at his home. Instead of just going to the gym every day, they would go outside and walk in like a rocky area because his driveway has rocks. I was just very happy with the total staff. The nursing home was very clean. There were lots of activities. I noticed that some of the senior residents had crafts and door decorations, and they tried to make it as homey feeling as they can. I would give it a 5. If he ever had to go back, I would go that route. I can't be any happier. When my dad left, all the staff got in line and cheered for him. They have a beauty/barber salon, they have church activities, they have bingo, they have crafting, and of course, they have the different therapies that come in. They have a separate gymnasium with different types of equipment. He was only there for 20 days, and he didn't participate in any of the bingo or the social activities that they had. Every patient's room had a calendar for the month, and they had whatever activity going on for that day listed on the calendar."

"Loretto Living Center fits best for what my loved one needs at this point. It's an old establishment. It's been there for years and years, since 1947. It was originally a hospital. It is run by nuns and it's also nonprofit. A lot of the staff have been working there for many, many years. They are very nice and very attentive to her. They just really offer everything she needs. They fix meals based on your dietary needs, whether or not you have strong enough teeth to eat it. For her, she needs softer foods and that sort of thing. So, they take care of that. They have all kinds of activities. They have a room that's specifically for working puzzles. You can go anytime you want and work on a puzzle. Then other people will go in, and maybe work on the same puzzle."

"Spring View Nursing & Rehabilitation is in terrible, terrible conditions. They're short-handed, and one time they didn't give my father his meds all day, and made excuses of why he wasn't getting his meds. They tell me that my dad has cancer all over his body. The report that we got from the CT scan says he only has colon cancer, but they're trying to tell me he has liver cancer, stomach cancer, and prostate cancer. When I went to visit my dad and I told them to give him a stool softener, it took how many days for the nurses to finally get it right and to give him a stool softener once a day. They just could not get it right. Other patients within the Spring View are crying for help, and no nurse is coming to help them. Before I left Kentucky, I asked my dad if he was in pain, and he said no. I asked him several times. Now they're pumping him up with morphine and I told the nurse, "Do not give my dad morphine." He doesn't need it. On top of that, they didn't even try to give my dad more physical therapy than what he had. The doctor never comes around, and a nurse practitioner is running the whole show, and she is mostly on the phone all day. It's quite disturbing to be a visitor and to have patients crying for help, and nobody's coming to help them. I'm very upset because I told the nurse to not give my dad morphine. There are other medications to give him that are not there to knock him out cold, but they're giving him morphine for him to die sooner. The food is so terrible that the majority of the patients do not eat the food. I tasted the food myself because my dad was telling me it's horrible. I tasted the food myself more than one time just to see if my dad was telling me the truth. Yes, it's horrible. The facility smells like urine and poop. The maintenance person, if there's stuff on the floor, they don't come and sweep it up. They do not pick up the urine bottle for when my dad's got to go pee. They leave it there all day. They don't even come and pick it up. When you walk in though, it looks pretty decent. The value, I would say, is a five. They're charging $200 a day, that is what it's worth."

"Our experience with Park Terrace Health Campus has been great. The staff is outstanding, they take great care of my mother-in-law, and I can't say enough about them. The food is not bad. I spoke to the higher ups because it seems they serve some stuff that the seniors have trouble eating. Like food that's not easy for them to cut up, or hard for them to chew. The place itself is very clean."

"The rooms are great with two beds. closet, nightstand and bathroom, my mom and brother love the food and the variety. The staff is great and always taking care of the needs of residents. My mom and brother are very happy. Currently they are both in rehabilitation. My mom will transition to living there permanently and maybe my brother. I can't say enough good things about Essex. Essex is definitely a hidden gem in south Louisville for nursing and rehabilitation. My sister and I love it."

"My experience with this assisted living provider was when i went to visit family, I thought the staff was fairly nice, treated the elderly nicely, and welcomed me. it was sad to see older people having to live like that, but i think its the best for them. the home was kept clean, and it was nice to see the older people getting along, they also had good security system to keep track to the elderly people. they had a really good facility and had a good secheduel for the members of the facility. the meals didnt look the best and the place didnt smell the best, and there was a few rude members of the staff but i just went on my way and didnt pay any attention to them. im glad i dont have to make many visits the the elderly home. the also have outside activities, and also help them celebrate the holidays, and they also keep the rooms as if they were at their own homes. "

"My dad is at Green Meadows Health Care Center for long-term care. They are good with their patients. They do rehab within five days a week, and now they have to feed him because he can't get the food in his mouth. They do all of that. The food is good. He eats everything. The facility is good, and the price is nice."
