"My mother moved into Brookdale Stonebridge Ranch a few weeks ago. The location is good for me and it's nice. The food was excellent. For activities, they have movies, bingo and they do exercises. The rooms are adequate and it is a friendly environment."

"Mom was at Colonial Oaks at Campbell Park for a temporary stay. She was there just for nine days. It was really nice. It was very clean and very nicely kept. It had the kitchen and all the amenities. It had a beauty shop and a movie theater. They offer a lot of different services for the seniors there. They took good care of my mother while she was there. It's assisted living, but she had her own room with nice floors, a nice bathroom, a bed, a TV, and her own refrigerator. They offer church services, and they have singing. They offer three meals a day, and family members can come, like my family members came and went to check on her while she was there. They take you back and forth to doctor's appointments. They had a little space on the outside of her room, which is secure, where you can't get out, and they can walk in the courtyard. They have access to the various areas, like the kitchen and the dining room, if you want to come out of your room and sit and play cards or meet and visit with people. The staff was very, very good. Crystal is one of the nurses there. She was really good and very attentive with my mom. They made sure my mom got everything she needed and the medicines that she had to take. They were very, very nice to her and I was very, very pleased with them. They have maintenance service, dry cleaning service, housekeeping, and laundry service. They have medication and healthcare services. They have oxygen equipment. They have security keys and fire safety. They have storm and tornado preparations. They have television, telephone, and internet services, and transportation shuttles. For what you're getting, it's comparable to what all the other facilities in that vicinity charge."

"The food at Appletree Court was good. I've only had one meal there, but they had variety for the guests and the patients, so it was a nice experience. They're very accommodating. They have activities and stuff for my wife to do and she is engaged in those now. The facility impressed me with its cleanliness and it didn't have any of the smells you usually associate with nursing homes. The staff is very friendly and I stay in contact with them throughout the week. Even if I can't see my wife, I can call them and check on my wife and they'll talk to me and be very responsive. She is doing Bible study. She seems to enjoy doing puzzles. They had Santa Claus come in already and they decorate for the holidays. They have decorated for both Thanksgiving and Christmas and singing Christmas carols and stuff like that. Right now, I'm impressed with the facility. The only thing I'm having problems with is the wi-fi goes down periodically and I try to watch my wife on a camera in her room. That's the only problem I've had. Lakiesha is very good. I'm getting my money's worth."

"My dad is at Wyndham Court of Plano. It's great so far. Everybody is very kind and helpful. It has been a great experience. The staff has been wonderful. They are very caring people. They only want the best for my dad, which I very much appreciate. My dad is in a one-bedroom-one-bath apartment. It has a living room and a kitchenette. But they have different floor plans. They have different activities, too. They were playing bingo the other day. They have movies, they do scenic drives and things like that."

"We toured Ariel Pointe of Sachse Senior Living. We loved this place, and the best would be the amenities and the staff. The facility is modern, new, clean, bright, and very nice. The atmosphere was very welcoming and friendly."

"My father-in-law is in Prestonwood Court Assisted Living and Memory Care. He's in their memory care. It has been fine. Everything went smoothly once we got him all evaluated. He's so much better now, and I think a lot of it has to do with the food. It's really good, and it's chef-prepared. He's on a good eating program, too, so I think that has helped him a lot. Everyone who works there, I have not had any problems with them. Everybody is very attentive. If you ask them questions, I can text them, email, or call, which has been great. The building is not brand new, but it has been updated. He is in an open room with a bathroom, a closet, and everything else. Most of those in memory care are more like that. It's more like a studio, but this one is roomier than some we have looked at. Some of them were smaller and felt more like a hospital room. This one doesn't, and it was bigger, so that was one of the things we liked about it. I think they only have room there for 18 people, it could be 20 max, and that's another thing I liked because it is a smaller memory care facility. I feel like there is more attention to helping the residents, and they have a lot of activities for them, too. They keep them busy. My father-in-law is not used to that. He was used to working still when he was 85, so he's not used to having a lot of activities or social life. Now, he has met new people there and he's been more social, which I think is good for him with the memory thing. They come to clean once a week and make his bed every day. They do a lot of stuff for him there. I'm not gonna say it was the cheapest one we looked at, but as far as the care and attention he's getting, it was worth it."

"Atria Carrollton was just as nice as the other place, but the location was good because it's near to where I'm living now and it's convenient. The staff was friendly and detail-oriented. They offered food, but I didn't try it. This facility was probably the largest out of all the ones that we looked at."

"My sister was previously at Beehive Homes of Rowlett's memory care. The managers and the owners themselves are very hands-on and assist in all aspects of the care. They are very knowledgeable, very smart people, and understand the medication system. They try to make all the residents feel comfortable, and most of the residents that I have seen are very comfortable there. There's nobody who doesn't want to be there. Their staff was very attentive. They pay attention when you tell them that a certain staff member didn't do something. They don't hold on to staff members who are not doing right, like most facilities. The food was good because they also had a chef who prepared and catered it to the liking of the residents. They had wonderful events, and they decorated for these events, like Mother's Day, Christmas, and Easter. They were also inclusive of family members because they would let family members know that they were invited to come to these events. They would have these big banquets for everyone, the family and the residents. They even had photo opportunities where they would set up so that you could take pictures with your family members. They kind of went above and beyond."

"We loved Sunrise of Hillcrest. The manager was very nice and extremely helpful. She asked all the good questions and showed us around. We didn't go upstairs. We briefly looked around the first floor, checked out the gathering area, and the lounging area. The whole property was kept in very good condition. It is dated, but I can tell they're trying to keep everything as good as they can. We liked the location because it's close to different access, the freeways, and the malls. The parking wasn't that big. We got a cookie and it was really good, but we didn't try the food."

"My parents have moved into Brookdale Club Hill. There is a nurse on staff 24 hours. The doctor comes and sees them in their apartment, too. The food is good. The cleaning lady is good. It's all around a nice, clean place. The apartment is small but workable. There are lots of activities. Right now, my mother is in rehab with a partial hip replacement, so a lot of our time is spent at rehab. Before that, they did bingo, went to Walmart, went on outings, and went and saw bluebonnets. There is constantly something going on every single day."

"We liked Silver Creek Assisted Living. It was very clean. We noticed a lot of the staff even though it was a Sunday. They were very active, were working, and dispensing medications. People were out. They were not just tucked away in their rooms. There seemed to be a lot of activities going on. For a Sunday, we were very impressed. The rooms were small, which we expected. This facility has a respite room where we could pay and have my mother-in-law there if we want to go out of town or something. It's like a hotel if you will. It had a bed, a recliner, a TV, a mini kitchen, closet space, and a bathroom where you could walk into the shower and not have to step way over something to get there. It was big, so if you had something to sit on, you could shower that way if you wanted to. It was roomy. If you have a walker or you're in a wheelchair, it is all very compatible. The staff was very friendly. The gentleman that took us on a tour was not his regular job. When we got there, he was behind the main reception desk and then it was already planned because someone else came and went behind the reception desk when he took us on a tour. We had a great follow-up from the salesperson that set this all up. She was out of town that weekend. It was fabulous how well they all communicated and were able to back each other up."

"My friend moved into Brookdale Farmers Branch, and I liked the location, the price, the facility, and the people there. He said that the food is good. The physical structure is fantastic since it's only one story, like a big circle. They have lots of amenities. They have a library, media room, game room, and a big room where you can reserve and have parties. The place seems very clean, and the activity calendar has many opportunities. Although we haven't taken advantage of them, there is stuff to do daily."
