We went to Brookdale Farmers Branch. We were fine with everything. We're just having a problem with the price because Dad only makes $1,500, and he doesn't get any other benefits. We liked everything. It was a really nice facility, and we think he would have been a good fit for it. They had a theater and transportation to places. There were two staff members during the tour, and they were really, really good, really nice, and really helpful. We saw the menu and everything, and they were doing a barbecue that day too, and that was something he would have enjoyed. Everything was good about the apartment. We found out that it wasn't furnished when we got there, but we would provide him with all of his bed and everything like that. It was definitely spacious enough for him.

My friend moved into Brookdale Farmers Branch, and I liked the location, the price, the facility, and the people there. He said that the food is good. The physical structure is fantastic since it's only one story, like a big circle. They have lots of amenities. They have a library, media room, game room, and a big room where you can reserve and have parties. The place seems very clean, and the activity calendar has many opportunities. Although we haven't taken advantage of them, there is stuff to do daily.

I visited Brookdale Farmers Branch. It's only assisted living, and I liked everything about it. The manager lady and the other person I talked to were both very nice and have outgoing personalities. I appreciate that they had a really good sense of humor. They were also very open-minded with me about having a cat. They were telling me about the two kitties that lived there, and how one was right across the hall from the place where I would move into, so that was kind of fun. They know everybody, too. What I also love about that place is that the chef has been there for 17 years and the hairdresser has been there just about that long. I talked to the people who actually work there and every one of them shook my hand. They all were very open with me about what they do and about their philosophies. They talked about how they care for the people, that's why they're there. The dining room looked very nice, but I think they have a client with Norovirus, so they're feeding in the rooms to keep contact down, and that's understandable. They showed me the menu, though, and it all looked really good. They also have a list of the seasonal choices and those that are always available, and it was nice. I have a particular eating issue. I only eat a cup at a time because of issues with my stomach, so I eat small meals more frequently, and they have a way to take care of that, too. It's an older place, but that doesn't bother me. It's also very clean.

I toured Brookdale Farmers Branch. I had a very good director who walked me through, showed me everything, and answered all my questions. At that time, it looked like it would fit my mom's needs because you could rent monthly, which I thought was a good idea. It wasn't on the high end of cost, nor the low-end cost. It was kind of middle range, which met my needs. It wasn't a really large place. It was a smaller group of people and I liked the arrangement. The physical arrangement was built in a kind of a large square and the inside area was open. They had activities and they had a bus, so they could take people out. It was quite close to where she currently lives. So I thought it would be easily accessible by other friends and family who wanted to come and visit her. The staff was great.

I liked everything about Brookdale Farmers Branch. They were very friendly. To me, they did a good job with my sister. The cleanliness was good. Everything seemed to be taken care of pretty well. Her apartment was nice. I liked it very much and she liked it, too. The food looked good. They had a nice area to sit outside. The dining area was spacious. They also had a nice area for the residents to sit down and watch something on TV together as a group, for those who wanted to watch. The times that I was over there, it always seemed to be very clean. The value for the money seemed to be pretty good to me. My sister wasn't there long, but for the time she was there, it was done well.

Brookdale Farmers Branch was a little larger than the other facility. I didn't find anything that I did not like. The person with whom we dealt was very nice and informative. The facility was clean. The room seemed to be adequate for what anybody would need. They have transportation. The staff seemed very attentive. If anything happened, I would feel very comfortable if they were able to get my parents the care that they would need. The staff members were very friendly, personable, easy to talk with, seemed to enjoy what they did, and cared about the residents there.

Brookdale Farmers Branch was older but well kept up. The staff members were very nice. It was just not a good fit for my dad. They had an enclosed courtyard area. The middle part was like an enclosed grassy area, which was enticing because my dad has a dog. The activities coordinator person was very eager to find out what my dad was into, almost in an annoying sort of way. Their rooms seemed more like a nursing home than senior assisted living. Many of the rooms had hospital beds in them. They called it a kitchenette, but it was basically like a dorm-sized room with a refrigerator and a microwave.

Brookdale Farmers Branch would pay for everything. They pay for the utilities. they feed you three times a day, and they have a ton of activities. I got a chance to mingle with some of the residents and they're just very nice over there. The staff asked my opinion constantly throughout the tour about what I thought of the place and if I could think of anything that would make it a better place for seniors. Everybody was just very, very friendly, and I think those are the right people for me to be around. They let me come in to have meals with them. As a matter of fact, I think I've been to lunch almost every day this past week, and the food was delicious. The building itself was very clean.

My mother moved into Brookdale Farmers Branch. I think they're very caring, and everyone there is really nice to her. It's fine, very good, they keep it clean, and the food is healthy. The food is good, they use a special diet for older people, it's calorie dense, low sodium, low sugar, and I think it's pretty healthy. It's an older facility, it's functional, nice, but not the newest place.

I visited Brookdale Farmers Branch. I liked the community and the food was good. The only difference between them and the place we chose was that the other one was considerably less expensive. The layout is shaped in a circle, with a courtyard in the middle. It's very nice, and they have a very attractive dining room. The rooms are a nice size. I like them and thought their price was pretty good. Their staff was very nice.

My friend has been at Brookdale Farmers Branch for about two weeks and he's doing extremely well. We're very impressed with the folks at Brookdale. They do a really good job at combining retirement with just a little bit of extra assisted living that some of the patients need. It's nice that they have a nurse on staff all day, and the nursing staff is very good. I haven't seen a weak element there. The housekeeping is outstanding and the management is incredibly good. The young ladies that run the front desk are very professional and they do a good job at greeting all the guests who come in. The have the reception set up so people don't just wander in and out of there without somebody knowing about it. We've been very pleased with the food service program. They help and support each other. They give you a lot of food options, and it's more like eating in a restaurant every day. The general manager is outstanding and one of the best I've seen in that field. One big advantage is they're a little bit smaller than some of the other places. Its an older facility, but its been maintained well and the upkeep has been good. The rooms are a little bit smaller. My friend is in a studio and it could be a tad larger. They have church service, which is very nice, and most of my friend's socialization is at lunch and dinner. Compared to a lot of other places, it's reasonable for the quality of care.

I am a current resident of Brookdale Farmers Branch. I am not a senior but I am a stroke victim. I have been treated very well however I must commend the Executive Director Mr. Redmon for his compassion, kindness and care for and of everyone who lives here. He knows all our names and is very good to us. I recommend this place to everyone I know.

Brookdale Farmers Branch was wonderful. I liked everything about it. There were activities going on while I was there (like Bingo) and they had lots of amenities. They also had transportation to the grocery store and outings. The staff was wonderful. The room that I saw was a studio type, but it was quite large, bright, and airy. I loved it.

We chose Brookdale Farmers Branch for my mother-in-law. It is in our neighorhood, and they are very friendly, very welcoming, and very professional. The rooms are sufficient for her needs. My husband ate there, and he said it was fine. They do Wii Fit, Wii Bowling, go out on day trips, and go to the Farmers Branch Senior Center and to local stores. They have interactive games like cards, Bridge, and Rummikub, so it's a very active place, plus they also have tournaments with their other Brookdale facilities. I just like the staff and convenience, so we could get to her quickly.

I liked Brookdale, but my mother has very limited funds, and they did not have anything that would help her. It was something local that I looked at. It did not have the financial assistance that she needed, it was not available there, and it was not her hometown.
