I think we're going to choose Vitality Living Preston Hollow and be moving there. I paid the $2,000 community fee to hold it, and we're trying to work out when a moving date would work for us. We have picked the apartment. There is a fob that you are able to wear and pull when you need help, and you will get help from the interior of Vitality, not EMT, if you don't need an EMT. We needed a little bit of mobile assistance to and from the bed and to and from the potty. I want only a first-floor apartment, and they did have one. They were very gracious to show them to me, and they were vacant. Nobody lived in them. It is very bright and airy. They are very busy updating and coloring to improve brightness and cheeriness, etc., so that was pleasing. We're having to adjust mentally to the fact that we're moving from a two-bedroom, two-bath to a two-bedroom, one-bath, and certainly, the one bath is very adequate and big and roomy. We'll get all three meals. It's a little bit of an adjustment that it has no kitchen. There is no oven, so we'll have to adjust to totally microwave cooking if we choose to cook a frozen dinner or something. I am hoping the same senior circuit of entertainment that comes to where we live now travels through Vitality. It's just kind of a repertoire of singers who play their own instruments or have backup tapes. They sing, and they ask for entertainment participation from the audience, and they kind of do what I call a mini stand-up comedian act in between singing. They have live entertainment. They have an abundance of games, like card games and board games. The grounds are very open, airy, and cheerful-looking. We will be giving up covered parking. That's a little worrisome for hail season. I don't yet know what the cost per hour per level will come down to, because I think that will take an evaluation of the PT people once we get there. They have a snack bar and it's got apples, oranges, coffee and whatever. It's a very light, airy and bright area and you could just have a snack and sit there and read a book. Our biggest disappointment will be the square footage that we're going to feel squeezed as opposed to what we have now. Outside of that, I'm extremely pleased with the motif and coloring and brightness. That all looks like it is an upscale to me, so that part's all good.

My sister is a resident of Vitality Living Preston Hollow. The caregivers, some of them are nice, and some of them aren't. The staff, I don't even know who the staff is. There's really nobody I can go to, and when I ask at the front desk they don't know anything about it, so it's not a great situation. The food is OK, but it's not good. The surroundings are nice. I guess someone came in and cleaned all over the place. They did a good job. Her apartment is nice, and we brought furniture from our home. It's a one-bedroom apartment. They have people who come and entertain, but my sister isn't interested in getting involved in any of that. She said the breakfast was pretty good. I'm usually there when the evening meal is served. It's a sandwich most of the time.

My brother-in-law was in here for skilled nursing and he eventually got into assisted living for a short period of time. Overall, the staff was pretty good. The facility was nice. It's spotless. He had a one-bedroom apartment and it was very spacious. They got outdoor seating and that kind of thing.

My husband is doing OK here. I'm very pleased with them. From the time we first walked down, everyone has been very friendly and helpful. He says the food is good and that he's eating like a horse. The thing that I really like is the fact that they have an activities director in the memory care unit. It keeps them moving and gets them out of their rooms and socializing. They play pickleball with a balloon and several other games where they use balloon force. They also do puzzles, some of them paint, some of them read and sing. The room is large and we just furnished it. They do take them out in the courtyard occasionally. This facility has independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care. On the memory care floor, they have a balcony that they can go out on. It's all fenced around so that they can't jump off. It's really a very pleasant environment.

I was able to tour for my aunt. The staff was very kind, and they were very careful with COVID; I had to wear a gown and gloves. They were delightful about that, and so I appreciated that a lot. The place was nice. I think it was fairly old, but it has been revamped, and it was very comfortable, good, and clean. The person that gave me the tour was the leader of the AL and she listed several things that she does, but then again, they're being careful about getting people together because of COVID, and I appreciate that. The staff was delightful, kind, and good.

I was impressed with this community. The people are very nice. The rehab facility is excellent. My mom was in rehab, and the facility is very clean. I would most definitely recommend this facility.

My sister is here for rehabilitation. She has her own room with tables, chairs and everything. She was very sick when she went in but they really worked with her and they had a doctor looking in on her.
