Assisted Living Communities in Centerville, OH

"I had a Great Grandmother that stayed there. This place was great with her. They made sure that her needs were met. They had activities for them and also the staff was very friendly and they were very attentive to her needs because she had dementia and at times she was difficult to care for(not for us because we are family) but for a staff of strangers with the patience they had. They kept us informed and the atmosphere is very pleasant and i would recommend this facility to anyone who needs an extra loving hand for a loved one."

"My mother is at Traditions of Beavercreek. It's fairly new, clean, and the price is good. I like the size of the room. It's very nice. They have a meeting area where they do games, different activities, a small area where they can do exercise bikes and exercise classes, a nice dining room, and another room where they do happy hour. They have a nice courtyard, which is very well-maintained. It's bright, cheery, and very open. I had several meals there and the food could be a little better, but it's not bad. The staff is good."

"I really liked 10 Wilmington Place very much. It's beautiful for one thing, there's lots of flowers and gardens. The apartments were very clean and looked nice. I liked them. Everybody I ran into that lived there had a smile on their faces. They have concerts. They have get-togethers for birthdays, and bible study. There is a whole calendar full of different things that I haven't really looked at carefully. The monthly charge was pretty high for me. I might be able to make it, but I really doubt it, so I didn't get a lot of details. They do have a nurse available. They have a medical partnership 24/7. I didn't really meet other stuff other than the person who was taking me on the tour. She was good. I wish the price was a little bit less because it is beautiful."

"At Renaissance, it was all on one level. It was very pretty inside and spacious, safe and very clean, and the rooms seemed really nice. There was a community area, which was very pretty, and they were talking about a book that they had read. The staff were very helpful. "

"We moved to Traditions of Lebanon. It had everything we were looking for, and the price was right. We go to dinner every night in the dining room. The food is pretty good. We'd be more clear if we moved here, so we think we made the right decision. It's a perfect fit for us."

"I liked Optimized Senior Living a lot. We were ready to sign up, but the rooms were smaller and we were expected to be within the community a lot, and dad's not really community oriented. They said they could take care of a person until end-of-life. It was built around a big central living area with individual rooms off the living area. It had a huge big kitchen place where they prepare the meals right there, and they were preparing pot roast which smelled wonderful while we were there. The food was great and homemade, but we were not able to try it because it wasn't ready yet, we got there the wrong time. The staff was really friendly, but it struck me that for 10 rooms there was only 2 people on duty. And those 2 people were preparing the food. It struck me that they might be understaffed. But they were really warm and caring. I could have totally signed myself up for that place, it seemed very homey. The building itself was new and gorgeous."

"My mother has been in Otterbein Senior Lifestyle Choices for 14 years now. They have anything you could possibly want except assisted living. They only have 38 assisted living rooms for over 1,000 people. She had a 2-bedroom, 2 bath house, and she now is in a 2-bedroom, 2 bath apartment. You could have houses all the way up to four bedrooms and a den, and you can have houses all the way down to 1-bedroom, 1-bath, and a living room. It doesn't have a whole lot of assisted living. They're trying to do aging in place, but they're having trouble hiring enough staff and I have to have somebody who's going to be there when they're supposed to. They have independent living, and an absolutely exceptional memory care and nursing home. The assisted living is about to be built over the next three years. You have choices for food. If you're independent, you can cook your own. The dining room is open and you can buy a meal plan or you can go in one meal at a time. They have a cafeteria, a bistro that is brand new, and they just opened a new theater. I can't say anything bad about them except that I need an assisted living apartment, not an assisted living room. They work hard out there. The staff members are the best part of the whole place."

"This community has gone through a change in management in about the last year or so. All I can say is that we saw such a positive impact in the care for our loved one. No place is perfect but I can tell you that the leadership team and the core staff really care and try their best to give the residents a happy and safe home. Highly recommend!"

"We toured the assisted living community of Aaron's Garden Senior Living & Memory Care for my mom. It was nice and clean when we went in. The tour person or the admission person was very kind and answered all of our questions. The rooms were also very nice and immaculate. There weren't many residents there because I guess they were on a field trip or an outing, but the residents seemed very happy there. The place smelled clean and had a nice home-like feel, which is what I liked about it. It is small and intimate. If they didn't have that long waiting list, that's the place that I would have trusted my mother to be in, because even the staff seemed friendly and very attentive to the residents' needs. In the other places I went, they didn't even greet me, and I think that's very important. When you go somewhere, the staff members should always greet you with a smile, and I was greeted with a smile there. It just made me feel comfortable and welcome. It made me feel like my mother would be welcome there, too."

"I like the location and convenience. The staff members are all very caring and keep the rooms very clean. Everybody seems very friendly. "

"My parents moved into Wickshire Fairborn. We chose it because they sent two movers to move my parents' stuff and waived the community fee. They also honored the monthly rate that the other facility had, up until December of 2023. Everybody is friendly and helpful. The facility is clean. They have a lot of family involvement. The staff and the other residents are very nice. My parents' room is smaller than the other facility, but it is clean and up-to-date. I'm not going to say it's spacious, but it's big enough for two people. The dining area is very nice, clean, and has a cheerful atmosphere. The food is good. They do bingo. They have different people come in for music activities. They have cooking classes. Their family night was fun, with different entertainers. A lot of the residents play cards together in the sitting area."

"My husband was in Garden Manor for rehab. They were teaching him to walk again, and the rehab price was very good. The people were very nice, and they had good activities and food. It was a nice place with large and nice rooms. "

"I'm living now in Grace Brethren Village. It's great so far. I'm totally independent. Because I'm confined to a wheelchair, I can't get out, so I don't participate in any activities. I'm trying to get ouf the wheelchair, so that's the reason for rehabilitation. They provide everything. They offer three meals a day. The staff is excellent. The place is excellent."
