We toured the assisted living community of Aaron's Garden Senior Living & Memory Care for my mom. It was nice and clean when we went in. The tour person or the admission person was very kind and answered all of our questions. The rooms were also very nice and immaculate. There weren't many residents there because I guess they were on a field trip or an outing, but the residents seemed very happy there. The place smelled clean and had a nice home-like feel, which is what I liked about it. It is small and intimate. If they didn't have that long waiting list, that's the place that I would have trusted my mother to be in, because even the staff seemed friendly and very attentive to the residents' needs. In the other places I went, they didn't even greet me, and I think that's very important. When you go somewhere, the staff members should always greet you with a smile, and I was greeted with a smile there. It just made me feel comfortable and welcome. It made me feel like my mother would be welcome there, too.

Aaron's Garden Senior Living & Memory Care was beautiful. It was great. There was nothing wrong with the community, but we wanted a single apartment for my father. We did not want a bedroom where he would walk out into the hallway. It was a beautiful setup. He loved it as far as if he was at that point to go there at a different time, yes, but not at this stage in his life. The people during the tour were very pleasant. It's very clean. The common areas were very pleasant.

I toured Aaron's Garden Senior Living & Memory Care. I really didn't like much about it. Small, staff was small, food wasn't fresh, it was frozen. To me, it just wasn't a real comfortable atmosphere. I know that there were some people that were working hard. I think they were a little short-staffed maybe, and I'm just assuming a lot. I was only there for 20 minutes. I didn't want to go on a tour. I did want to eat food. Once I saw what was inside, it just wasn't for me. The staff was friendly, the woman that took me on a tour was very friendly, it's just that they seemed short-handed. I think she was a little concerned that I was there and they didn't have the right staff. It was a little rough. There were some things that weren't done. The exercise room, the two pieces of equipment they had were broken. They were talking about needing some maintenance done. And, unfortunately, I have 50 years of flooring experience, and walking around their floors, they had some issues; some damage to the carpets and stuff like that.
