This community has gone through a change in management in about the last year or so. All I can say is that we saw such a positive impact in the care for our loved one. No place is perfect but I can tell you that the leadership team and the core staff really care and try their best to give the residents a happy and safe home. Highly recommend!

We toured The Winfield at Middletown. They're a very nice place. I would move in there myself. We ask about the menu. We got to go down and see the cafeteria and take a tour of the entire facility. The rooms are nice. It's like having your own little apartment. You can furnish them with your own furniture, your own couch, recliner, whatever you want. They were spacious. Everything was very clean. They had a therapy room. The lady took us to a room and was so nice and explained everything about the facility, the pricing, and so forth, and what she had available. I wouldn't even call it a nursing home. It was immaculate. They're very reasonably priced too.

The Winfield at Middletown was pretty decent. It's a nice, clean facility. It looks like a place, and I feel my mom will be safe. The room I saw was also nice and clean. It looked old. They have outings, they played music, they brought in dogs that people can pet, and they have activities for the residents to participate in. They're not just waiting and sitting around all day. They have activities for you to make life more enjoyable. The staff was pretty good. They were nice, friendly, and accommodating. They tried to help me and my mom's needs. They're thoughtful and considerate and try to accommodate and make me feel comfortable that she's in their facility. The menu looks alright.

I visited a loved one a couple months back and felt very comfortable. It was very homey and clean. There are always a lot of daily activities that get the residents out of their rooms and interacting with others! The staff was very friendly and love on the residents very well.

My parents have been in here for six weeks. It’s newly renovated. It is very quiet and very professional. It’s very private, but at the same time, there are a lot of activities that people can get involved in if they choose to. They’re very friendly; they know my parents by name. From their point of view, this place is a little more secure, and people are more aware of their comings and goings. They have devotions. They have reminiscing time and game show time where they play games. They have arts and crafts activities. They watch movies. They’ve gone on an outing to Walmart or Kroger. They have had people come in and sing and share. My parents are in their early 70s, and it’s food that they have grown up on. They have a set menu, but they can also ask for hamburgers, grilled cheese, or salad. They could ask for something separate or different than what’s on the menu if they choose not to like it. They also encourage the residents to eat in the dining room, but if for some reason, somebody doesn’t want to eat there, they will take a tray to their room.

It was good. The room I saw looked fine. The staff was professional; not particularly great but not at all bad. They had books available and played games, like bingo in the community room. The dining area looked good. It seemed smaller and not that cheery. There didn’t seem to be as much staff around as in the other places I saw.

It was an older facility but nice. It’s a three-story building, which is the only thing I dislike due to the need to consider accessibility for my mom. They have a church area and a pastor who comes in. Their dining hall is like a restaurant where you can order what you want. They have a movie room, a library, exercise room, and music room.

The staff was wonderful, cheerful, and very responsive when you needed something. The food was the one thing that I didn’t like, except for breakfast. The rooms were very good, though.

Mom is living here. She has an apartment, and we are moving some of her furniture. It was pretty nice. It seemed like they are very nice, and I think she will have good care there. The apartment is very clean, and the price is going to be OK for right now. We just talked with everyone up there, and we also wanted her closer to home. The staff was very good. I smell some odor, but I know it will be taken care of -- too much air fresheners.
