Assisted Living Communities in Beavercreek, OH

"I toured The Carlyle House Assisted Living Community. It's a small independently owned facility, and it was recommended by our attorney for assisted living and memory care. There wasn't any availability there. I did look at their assisted living apartments, very nice, with a very small kitchen, and food area, but it was all very nice. I did go over and look at the memory care area. It's a small facility. The person who assisted me was friendly and had lots of information."

"Super clean, brand new facility with the best caretakers I have had the pleasure to meet. I have no worries with my Father in their capable hands. He has his own room for times that he feels like being alone. "

"They called us when we were looking for a place. We visited there and the place was clean. It was a pleasant visit. I found it to be a very adequate place for Alzheimer's. I saw the rooms and they were spacious. I was impressed with the cleanliness and the friendliness of the staff. "

"We visited the assisted living facility of Fairmont of Washington Township, and it's really beautiful. It was just a little out of our price range. The lady who runs it was wonderful. She just had a really great personality and was very kind to my parents. My parents, my mom especially, loved her. She's very helpful, and she still calls every now and then. We were able to sample the food, and it was very good. It was nice that they had options on their menu. The facility was very clean and very nice."

"We went to The Wellington at Dayton for a visit. Their staff was wonderful. They were helpful, caring, and very nice as well. The apartments were very nicely done, large, and well-priced. The whole area was immaculate. It was clean and cheerful. The food was delicious, and their dining area is very nice. We liked this place a lot. "

"It is a lovely place. They have very nice people. The staff is very good. They are pleasant, and my aunt is quite happy with the people there. The room is not really ready which is inconvenient because when we moved in, they have not yet taken care of the things I asked to be done, but they did do it in a timely manner. She has a one-bedroom, which is larger, lovely, and comfortable. I have not eaten there, but they have a nice dining area. They have quite an extensive activity calendar. I know they have like a health center there, and they really promote for people to come in and use the machines. I know she is excited that they will take her out on a shuttle to do shopping. They do that a couple of times a week. I think there is a sewing group that she interested in being involved in. I will recommend it. "

"The people at Danbury Huber Heights were very nice and very pleasant. The facility was extremely well-kept. They have group social settings such as coffee time in the morning and that sort of thing, which was very nice. I have no negative thoughts about them except that it wasn't what I was looking for. I appreciate some social contact, but not that much and I think the price range was more than I wanted to pay. It included meals and a lot of things that I did not want at this point in my life and I'm just transitioning from owning my own home for 50 years to downsizing, because of my age (and preparing for my old age). They had workout equipment and game rooms, but no gym, and no pool, which was OK with me. The staff were very knowledgeable, very friendly, very informative, and very understanding of my needs."

"Grace Brethren Village was a pretty good place and very homey. They had plenty of nursing aides and RNs, and plenty of things to do on your own or with your family. The staff was nice and very knowledgeable. The facility was OK. I saw people wandering around doing things."

"I really liked the director at Brookdale Place. He was very kind and friendly. They allowed pets there and made it more of a home feel. The food there supposedly was made from scratch but I didn't sample it. The rooms were standard, small and clean and some had a little kitchenette. "

"My mother is in Brookdale Centennial Park. The food is pretty good, and everybody seems to like it. The people are really nice and helpful with anything you might want or need. They have ice cream socials, and they had entertainment and a nice dinner for families on Father's Day. It's small, but pretty clean."

"We visited this facility. I love it. It was awesome. They have a little chapel and a little workout room. Most of people have their own little patio outside their doors. The rooms were very spacious. I just love it. They did have activities. They even have a woodworking room for the men."

"The visit at the Inn was very nice. The staff was very nice. The thing that impressed me the most was that it was new. "

"Optimized Senior Living Lebanon had availability, and I went in there, took a look at a room, and walked around the kitchen, and they had a little community center there. It was alright. They had a nurse practitioner on call 24/7, a few nurses on staff, and nurses' aides. It seemed pretty nice, but it was kind of expensive. They gave me a booklet. It gave me all the information and it is very helpful and very thorough. What I saw was a one-bedroom apartment. Mom had everything she needed to live in that apartment. They had a 24/7 kitchen that she could go in, get something, and make something. They had a little rec place where they played games, watched TV, or played piano. The two things I didn't like were the $3500 nonrefundable deposit, but they say that that's used for when a person leaves, they have to paint and repair patches and anything on the wall. Plus the $7500 they require you for a couple of months' rent upfront. They had everything. It's just expensive. They didn't have actual doctors. They had a nurse practitioner 24/7 on call. There were some things that I liked a lot and there were some other things I didn't like as much. They come in once a month and do your hair and massage and stuff like that. Everything was well taken care of."

"Aaron's Garden Senior Living & Memory Care was beautiful. It was great. There was nothing wrong with the community, but we wanted a single apartment for my father. We did not want a bedroom where he would walk out into the hallway. It was a beautiful setup. He loved it as far as if he was at that point to go there at a different time, yes, but not at this stage in his life. The people during the tour were very pleasant. It's very clean. The common areas were very pleasant."
