"I toured Fairmont of Washington Township. The people looked happy there. Activities were going. The staff looked very helpful. They didn't look like the patients were just sitting by themselves. There was an arts and crafts room. The grounds were beautiful. It looked very light and airy when I walked inside and some places just looked very dark and depressing. The atmosphere was very nice. People were friendly. They walked up to my mom and said hello. The activities director just said hello to me, and if I needed anything, let her know."

"The Carlyle House is beautiful. It is very nice, but they don't have any rooms. They have a chef, and it looks like he was preparing something really good. The interactions with the residents were a lot better than the other facilities. They all have a list of activities. They all have a schedule, but that doesn't mean they do them, but the schedule looks fine. You are only there for a little while, so you only get a quick glimpse. The facility looks really nice. The ambiance is very nice, and the staff that assisted us was very knowledgeable. His own grandmother is there. I would recommend them. "

"Friends of ours who lived relatively close were experiencing some health issues so they decided to check out 10 Wilmington Place to see if it would fill their needs. In speaking with them, we were told that it was a beautiful place and that they could see themselves living there. Unfortunately, before that could happen, a family member took them in and moved out of the area. After they moved, we decided that we would check out 10 Wilmington Place out for ourselves. We made an appointment to visit and to our surprise the Executive Director at the time took us for a tour of the community. Needless to say, we were impressed. The elegance was a sheer delight. It was decorated beautifully. There is always someone at the front desk which made us feel very secure. The Grand Oaks Dining Room is impressive. The food is very food and there is a certified Chef on the premises. The ground were maintained to such a degree that 10 Wilmington Place looked like a palace. Last but not least the rates are very reasonable. In addition to all of that, the staff here are very friendly and helpful. The residents are friendly, and the daily activities calendar is loaded with things to do. Transportation is available for appointments. A nursing staff member is present in case of emergency, and if you sign up there is a doctor that visits every Thursday, however appointments must be made. All in all, we maintain that 10 Wilmington Place is still the best!"

"Brookdale Oakwood was very nice. They had almost the same amenities and everything as the other facilities, like common areas and activities for the residents, but what I liked was that they had a pet dog in the facility (my mom loves dogs). They also had a fish tank and a bird cage with some birds in it. The staff was very nice. They showed us a studio."

"We toured Wellington at Dayton. When I first got there, I told them that I had a referral and I had an appointment, and the person I would have gotten it from was on vacation. The director came out and presented information to me, and gave me contact information to talk to the person when she comes back. The facility was clean and smelled good, and the patients seemed friendly. It was nice. They were very impressive. For that not to be her position - she did very, very well, though, but she didn't have all the answers. They showed me their menu, and some people were eating in their little cafeteria or lunch room. It was appetizing, and they served three meals a day."

"Stoney Ridge Senior Living looked like they had enough staff. They had a lot of people there that were from the housecleaning staff and nursing staff. It looked clean. If I would have made a move, that's where I would have went."

"I’m happy to leave a recommendation for The Danbury. My father was a resident there for approximately a year. His room was an awesome small one bedroom apartment and it had everything my dad needed. Stove, microwave and refrigerator. My dad loved that he called his home. The staff is awesome, very caring and responsive. And pleasing to interact with. The food was great. It’s like going to a restaurant sitting down. They bring a menu tell you the specials that they have today and the quality of the food was excellent. They made it easy to have lunch or dinner with my dad and I had it set up so when guest came to visit that they could get a meal ticket at the front desk and add it to my bill, so he would have someone there to still have lunch and dinner with so they all enjoyed their time while they visit with him. My dad loved the Danbury and it was easy for him, He would say I’m perfectly happy being here at home. There were couples that lived beside of him and across the hall. All the residents were friendly as well as the greeting staff whenever I would visit, It was always pleasing to go there. “It wasn’t like going into a nursing home” it was like going into a nice facility that you might be greeted by an elderly person in a tracksuit doing their physical activity walk or a resident on their scooter or a walker, but in a nice well-kept lobby and the dining area was right there to see as well. The facility is well kept where they have a barber shop, activity rooms, movie theater, and it’s the kind of place that if I was going to look for myself to move into being elderly. I would definitely go to the Danbury. The overall feel and the smell of the facility was pleasant not like most other type of Facilities that I had visited, so my overall experience was excellent. I could not have asked for a better place to have my dad to be a resident and as a son I was proud of where he was staying! Jim B Son of resident Bill B"

"I visited Springfield Assisted Living. The apartment the lady showed me was super, but they were full. You would not think that it was designed for assisted living because it looked like an apartment in a nice apartment building. It had the kitchenette that I wanted. "

"I toured Northwood Assisted Living. It was great. The staff member who gave the tour was very polite and knowledgeable. The rooms were spacious. We checked out the dining area, but we didn't eat food. The dining area was very nice. The place was just very nice."

"I liked Brookdale Buck Creek. It was newer and decorated very beautifully. The staff was very nice. They had a Mediterranean tour open house type thing, and they had very nice food, like hors d' oeuvres so it was very nice, very elegant. They had a courtyard, it was very nice, and they started their own gardens. They had a microwave and a small fridge in the rooms."

"My mother has been in Grace Brethren Village. It's a rehab facility, and we've been pleased with it. Her condition has deteriorated a little bit, even though she's progressing with her rehab. She has had a couple other things come up that complicated the rehab, although that's good, and they are continuing to work with her, and continue to say she is improving. They have kept the family involved with One Call Now's phone messages, and they did do a Zoom with family last week, just to get everybody on board on the current events of the virus, and the current events of flu vaccines and all that, that they will be getting together. All in all, we're pleased with the facility. They've got the PT and the OT that they're working with her with. They have some things that they can bring in that she can do. They are taking her down to the great room for meals to interact with other people. They have had facilities where you can take the family member outside for walks and view the grounds, and different things like that. I've been there a couple of times when she's eating, and it tastes very good. They're working with her and doing very well. She's had a couple of bumps in the road that they are working with and trying to get her through too, so that's good."

"Brookdale Englewood was excellent. They were very sociable, very concerned, and answered all my questions. They were very helpful and they still keep in contact with me by email. The apartments were nice and very clean. In some places, you go in and there's a scent, but at Brookdale Englewood, there was none. The staff was very nice and I also saw them interacting with the residents, which was good. They were very attentive. They have a social coordinator where they sing songs together and stuff. The lady there was very personable. They take care of their facility and it was very clean."

"We moved to Traditions of Lebanon. It had everything we were looking for, and the price was right. We go to dinner every night in the dining room. The food is pretty good. We'd be more clear if we moved here, so we think we made the right decision. It's a perfect fit for us."

"The facilities are clean and organized. The staff treated my dad incredibly well and went above and beyond, in my opinion (one example was singing to him at night to help him fall asleep!). My dad enjoyed the home-cooked food, and meal time seemed more like a family dining affair than a typical senior living cafeteria style meal. I recommend OSL for sure!"
